Oh dear someone is stingy about his hat, maybe Ptah will be so annoyed by Grape that he would do EVERYTHING to get rid of them including giving them enough Mana for their spell

You know, I could actually see this as a really cool plot arc... Think of it, none of this was supposed to happen! IS it possible that they could return to an altered future? This opens up a lot cool possibility's when they return home. Like will the peaceful relations between dogs and cats not exist in the future because of infighting? Will cats be subservient to dogs because of Satu's attack? Will Egyptian mythology change so that the Egyptians worship dogs instead of cats?

A lot could come of this and it was already eluded to before when max said "Should we really be doing this? we could upset the balance of power here" Paraphrasing of course. This could in a way be or lead to the next "King Plot".

Also the hat is the crown of Lower Egypt (Nile Delta Region) previous to its unification in the "Old Kingdom".

Well, to be fair - it wasn't like Ptah was going to allow Max to be near Grape during the party, but he should've reminded Satau. Unless Satau is really forgetful - or just thinks it's not that important. =3

Poor Ptah is getting trampled by a sarcastic Grape. You can't help feel sorry for him, but he's not exactly being a good sport =P.

... He also better put his nails away.
