Probably so, considering that the Zyumen do have the ability to take on human forms due to their King's Cubes.D-Rock wrote:Well, Doggy came straight from the Sentai series, but I'm sure we'll still get regular teenagers in the adaptation.
...Aaaand?Foxyfluff wrote:Anyone notice that most furry publishers seem absent from some comic and anime cons?
Yup. And it seems that no matter how many times Uncle Kage has gone and said that the fandom isn't about that stuff at all and how me and other furries say it isn't about that stuff, many still think furry is just a fetish.JonnyNova wrote:I think the worst thing about all this is that because the dark side of the fandom is the only side that anyone outside the fandom recognizes, that's the main part that grows. That's gotten to the point that NSFW content has almost taken over the fandom. People have mentioned Zootopia as a positive example of furries in pop culture, but from what I've heard people are already ruining that, with the majority of fanart being NSFW. The stigma of furries just making porn out of everything is actually true in many cases. I know that "many" doesn't mean "all," but if that's become the norm for the fandom, then who's to say they're wrong? What if things like Housepets are the exceptions to the rule? Trust me, I hate the fact that when I first told my friends I was a furry, it led to a half hour explanation of how I'm not one of those furries. I don't want to see amazing things like Housepets or SaveState or all of the incredible artists who have emerged from the furry fandom become outcasts. I want to be optimistic that Zootopia can change people's minds, but if anyone becomes interested in the furry fandom because of Zootopia, then the first thing they'll probably do is look at things related to Zootopia. There's a strong chance they'll just get scared away by what they find, which further reinforces the negative image of the fandom.
Sorry to be so negative about the subject, but I guess I'm just a pessimist at heart.
I follow Radio Comix publisher Elin Winkler-Suarez on Tumblr and she and the Radio Comix crew regularly attend anime and comic cons. Of course Radio Comix also publishes manga as well as furry comics.Foxyfluff wrote:Anyone notice that most furry publishers seem absent from some comic and anime cons?
I know about them. I have told convention in my state about stuff like that, hope one day they come to cons in hawaii.Radio Blue Heart wrote:I follow Radio Comix publisher Elin Winkler-Suarez on Tumblr and she and the Radio Comix crew regularly attend anime and comic cons. The full Japanese name is Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. And when they transform, they are again in the typical "Power Ranger" form.SuperStar wrote:Well then, on the topic of family friendly furry(alliteration!), the new Sentai series coming this year is called Animal Sentai Zyuohger(translates to Beast-Kinger) features a race of animal people known as the Zyumen. No, whatever happened at AC in 2014 turned my mom off to the fandom.Amazee Dayzee wrote:Unable to get to the mainland?
You say typical "Power Ranger" form, but Sentai came first, so it's typical "Super Sentai" form,Kitch wrote:The full Japanese name is Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. I wonder if the American adaptation will attempt to use CGI...
Of course, we won't know this for a while, since Power Rangers is two years behind Super Sentai. Ninninger is supposed to be adapted in 2017.

I don't think it's hair, but I get what you mean.Buster wrote:┐(°_°)┌SuperStar wrote:...Is that a good or bad thing?Buster wrote:...Blue looks like the mutant offspring of a Floran and a Hylotl.
It's the leaf hair that makes me think of a floran.
Also, the heck is that thing they're holding? do they morph my solving a rubix cube now?
Well it's not a full out rubix cube, so it doesn't have that many options. This can give you a better idea how it works, http://ukiyaseed.weebly.com/ukiyaseeds- ... s-revealedSleet wrote:So what if they just mix it around randomly like a Rubik's Cube? Just make a million things happen at random?

I don't think there's a limit to what kinds of fans people can be. Someone can be into anthropomorphism, and anime, and baseball, and Halo, for instance.tsMKG wrote:And also is important the percentage of furry things you do compared to other things you do.
Like let's say, someone enjoys furry things but is also otaku and by a larger percentage (let's say 25% furry and 65% otaku)
