Maybe Great Kitsune will do some magic demigod stuff and send the crew back to Babylon Gardens, and then make Dragon forget about it somehow?

Rick has three decisions:

1. Do some cheap magic stuff to get back the crew to B.G. and the end.
2. Extend the arc to a fourth part and send the crew to the present with some work and minor changes.
3. Do something special that makes major changes in the present that marks an era in HP! .

With marking an era in HP! I mean something very special (like Pete's liberation that started all the Celestial/Cosmic Stuff)

No need for part 4 then.

I think they would only be gone as long as they decide. Satau reappeared only moments later in his own time, though aged the ten days he spent in the future. They would obviously reappear a few days older, but could easily reappear only moments after the travel. Maybe Karishad is just leaving the temple when they get back. The King strips could easily be viewed as a "meanwhile" type deal, not after the main story strips.
