Yeah, I'll post, just give me a second :D

Also, for a summary of the basic plot of the Iditarod series, here is what I have:

Book 1: Noontime Darkness
Iditarod is about a young dog who lives in a small village in Alaska. He is part of a well-respected sled dog team, along with seven other dogs, and they're all great friends. His name is Kodiak and he is a husky. After a while, he learns about a wolf-pack that lives near the village, called The North Pack. The wolf pack has contact with the spirit world through their Shaman. Kodiak meets a young she-wolf named Mikaela from the pack and he has a crush on her, but she doesn't like him because he's a dog. Kodiak later finds out that he is half-wolf, and his father was the leader of the wolf pack. His father died four years ago, the day before Kodiak was born. His mother raised him as a full dog. He meets the leader of the pack, which is his Uncle. He tries to join the pack to learn more about his father, but they reject him at first. After saving Mikaela from a bear attack, he is allowed to enter the pack.

Book 2: Pack United
Kodiak spends most of his time with the wolf-pack, and his dog friends are worried about him. They are jealous that he left them for a wolf-pack, so Kodiak starts to spend time with them. While playing with his friends, the wolf pack is attacked by their arch-enemies: the East Pack. Kodiak finds Mikaela hiding in a cave near the pack's village with the Shaman. They travel on a journey to re-unite the pack and to get revenge on the East pack. They unite half of the pack and then they meet the Alpha, who had found the other half. The pack decides to move to a safer location. Kodiak is forced to choose between staying with the pack or the dogs. He asks them if he can say his goodbyes, and they give him a week. Through the week, he spends all of his time with his mother, owner, and friends. He leaves with the pack and helps set up the new village. He is finally accepted as a full member of the pack and is sent on a spirit quest. On the spirit quest, he talks to the ghost of his father. He is also chased by the East Pack though the forest. He makes it back alive, but injured and spends the next few chapters recovering and learning about the pack

Book 3: Arctos's Realm ((Not finished. Feel free to add on))
Kodiak is nearly recovered from his injuries and starts to go hunting with the pack. While hunting, they meet an old Snowy Owl that talks to them. He warns them of a coming danger and that they must be prepared for anything. He also tells them that the danger will happen because of Kodiak, but it is up to him to correct it.

Ooooooh, I'm lovin' it! :D Now, I think the spirit quest in the second book might make it too long--it should probably be in the third book.

Also, I think that starting in the third book it should open up and start to become more epic (I've already mentioned characters and plot points in the RPG that you haven't brought up here, but I don't think there's necessarily any inconsistency, don't worry.... ;) ). Go ahead and look at my post to see how to incorporate those into the third and/or fourth books--we'll say those are minor characters and plot points, but ones that Honey's particularly attached to, all right? ;)

Also, the realm of Arctos is made of polar bears, and the FrozEnts in the fourth book are comparable to the Frost Giants of Norse mythology. I'm thinking that maybe the bears threaten the pack and maybe it comes to war, but the wolves' victory proves pyrrhic as it results in freeing the FrozEnts and bringing on a plague....

Huh boy.... If ctcmjh says it, I guess we'll have to go along with it....

But no, I probably won't want my characters participating in it, and that being the case I'll be pretty much unable to post at all during that arc, which I don't like at all.... :(

Unless maybe us "non-magic-niks" could get together in some sort of "B" arc in the meanwhile...?

EDIT: What, no embarrassing "you can't talk to my friends that way!" scene? Also that wasn't a very nice thing to say about Honey.... :x

I expect that's what'd happen-- I mean, neither of my characters are magical to start with, and adding it now probably wouldn't mesh well with them on the whole, so they'd just be out in nowhere-land too, otherwise. :P

The way I see it, is that some want magic, and others don't. Those who want magic will be in Arc A, while those who don't want magic will be in Arc 1. Neither arc is superior to the other, so it's not A & B, but more like A & 1.

For example: Max doesn't like magic. Morrigan likes magic. Liz is neutral to magic. Morrigan will be in the magic arc, Max won't, and I'll leave it up to fate with Liz.

Okay, new Iditarod update--Third Dawn is set considerably later than FrozEnts' Revenge. It might even focus on different characters than the first four did, but still follow through from them.

My thinking is that this will be the book that divides fans of the series. On the one hand will be those who will consider this a fresh new direction for the series to be going in and praise the author for her creativity and boldness in choosing to do so, and on the other hand will be those who will consider this to be where the series "jumps the shark" and where the author forgets what made the first four books great in the first place.

The former will consider the latter to be excessively "purist" and narrow-minded, while the latter will consider the former to be Candy Lupo "fandogs" who'd read and like anything if it were written by her. The latter will also probably write fan fiction of what "should" have happened in the last three books.

By 'non magic' you mean mind reading right? Cuz that's all my 2 of my characters can do. One of them is totally oblivious to the fact that it might exist....I need to do something about that...

and I think I'll have to pass on that arc.

I didn't say I wanted one, I was just kind of surprised.

Maybe not, but Honey does love the Iditarod book series. Besides, he just called Honey specifically a "fangirl"....

Fighting her way through a crowd of other dogs an searching for a good condition book isn't being a fan girl? Okay I'm a big fan of a series but I also know when to not fight and wait for the next shipment.... So... for right now... Zappa is going to consider her a fangirl unless she can show him what a true fangirl can do... if that okay with you....

On that... remember h didn't call her a "Fanatic"

and trust me... I met a fanatic or two....

Um...what? :? I didn't understand half of what you said there....

Anyway, it's not like she FOUGHT the other dogs to get a copy. She was just trying to get a copy for herself--and a GOOD quality copy--before they were sold out. (Or is that what you consider the difference between a "fangirl" and a "fanatic"?)

Anyway, Zappa's attitude is only going to further contribute to no one liking him, you realize that....

A magic arc? I have been looking forward to that! Awesome isn't magical at all. He would probably back away from it, if he wasn't so easily persuaded. He won't learn any magic, but his dad has a friend who invented a 'magic scanner'. I'm sure he's been working on more devices beside that...maybe one that can actually see magic lifeforms? Maybe a magic scanner that has a higher wavelength? Maybe a way to combat magic? (You'd best tell me if I can't do this before it begins.)

I'm sorry, I was kind of teasing (a little bit, anyway)....

I know Honey doesn't know, and Vanilla doesn't either--but I do. I just don't really like it when nasty things are said about my characters and I don't even really know why....

Honey has common sense, but who listens to their own common sense ALL the time? Really? She was excited about this new book in a series that was on hiatus for a LONG time, she wanted to get her book as soon as possible.

And I find it ironic that Zappa has a limited view on things (even though I knew he did) what with the mind reading and all that.... (And I guess I didn't get it that it was kind of a "self-deprecating" joke, I thought it was lacking in self-awareness, sorry about that....)

Okay, re: the Iditarod series:

I refer you to my most recent post, wherein we find that half the original cast of the series (including Kodiak! :( ) is dead by the time of Third Dawn, directly or indirectly due to a plague at the end of FrozEnts' Revenge. In addition to which, there's no mystery regarding what happened to them that might be solved in this or the later volumes, and so the story threads at the end of the last volume regarding those characters are unresolved in the text.

 Who do I look like, Candy Lupo? :P

Seriously, though, if I could, I might, but I'm no good at writing book series. Anyway, this is a satire of what happens in the real world with actual book series that have extensive fanbases.

I don't see why not. I think everyone who wanted to buy the book at the start of this arc has one. If other roleplayers wanted their pets to have a book, I guess they could use past tense, or say their pets ordered it to arrive on the day.

Plot twist to Third Dawn!

A secondary character from FrozEnts' Revenge, a pup named Chinook, who was a very likeable character, is now grown up and the villain of the current installment. He has just burned down a settlement with intent to kill, even children, and he's succeeded in killing many in that settlement. And he's not angry or hateful, just coldly doing what he thinks "needs to be done".

Honey's not taking this very well....
