Finally started to get some serious time to play Bionic Commando... and yes, i see what you meant about the snipers, Ron. What drove me nuts about the stage was moreso how long the stage was more than anything though and what a pain it was if it resetted afterwards. Longest stage ever. Had no trouble beating the snipers, but when i started falling in the water and drowning from one small mistake, then there was issues...

OMG Bionic Commando xD i played it a long ago... on PC, forced to use the mouse to aim. I can't even imagine how to complete some phases with the analog... for example the ocean crossings

Agreed. The thing is, I got annoyed by the snipers so I started just going faster...and then dieing. The snipers killed me in like 2 hits so that made things even more annoying. I've not got the best memory either, so when I think it's safe to go, I just get killed. Up to that point, I enjoyed the game. I never did any more after that.

Either way, analog isn't too bad. I play PC most nowadays, but still, heh.

Any advice on how to teach a three year old Street Fighter? I've seen him play Mortal Kombat 9 as Liu Kang and he was doing bicycle kicks, fire balls and everything. Now I'm trying to teach him Street Fighter using SF3 and he can't even pay attention long enough to do a hadouken. I set the difficulty as low as it can go and he still can't beat the first stage.

Little kids playing videogames is epic. I know a 5 year old that can play Mario Bros. on Wii and he rocks.

Yeah, I didn't get into gaming until age 7. Got a Gameboy Color for Christmas with Pokemon Yellow and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.

Never touched a DDR game until middle school at least, and I never was good enough to do more than a handful of songs on the standard and heavy settings (this was back when settings ranged from light to standard to heavy). And I only ever got perfect runs on several of the songs on light mode. :p

Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 were when I really got into gaming, but Pokémon Blue is what got me independent.

North America to be specific.

Sorry, from your post, it was possible to assume you were referring to the United States of America. While the explanation was appreciated, the rudeness was not. Please review the forum rules and keep in mind that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

We're around the atlantic coast of north america where I'm at, but even if we're in north america, we're still a country =P

Where i'm at, though, we only have one decent rental store down here still. any other games you have to buy at Wal Mart, which are expensive.

Not quite actually... ya, it's pokemon, but it also is a spin off (and they usually sell less copies than canon episodes) featuring the great japan war, Nobunaga's Ambition, and that koei series is really unknown out from japan. I think it's not that easy deal, for example in europe Conquest will be released in full eng

Have not really heard of Little Ninja Bros.

As for my favorite game.... Phantom Brave.

Other than that, I have a lot of fond memories of Genesis, NES, and SNES games.

Jeez, my favorite game has to be Ace Combat 5, followed in a close second by Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

And for the one with my most fond memories of... That would be Pokemon Silver. The original, not the remake.

My favorite game is Paper Mario. It's so good. <3

Also I finally got Pokémon Conquest! It's a lot of fun but it's kinda silly how lightly they take warfare. I just conquered your kingdom. You didn't just lose a friendly skirmish on the side of some tall grass.

Sweet, I haven't played many games by Atlas, but the ones I have played are great, and I'm actually waiting for Persona 4 Golden on the PS Vita. Also, P4 Arena looks interesting.

So, I was playing my Wii today, and decided on New Super Mario Brothers Wii! And, I love it! Also, I realized why FPSs on the Wii, okay, STORY TIIIIIIME! So, I have COD 4 on the Wii because, I don't know I'm not the one who bought it, ANYWAYS so, I was playing it and I realized the big failing for Wii FPSs for me, I shoot real firearms, so I understand generally the weight of the firearms as I have used some of the guns in the games, so when I shoot, say the M9, I have used a real 92FS before, so I know the weight and when aiming, I expect to feel weight, I don't know, it might be me, and I don't own a classic controller. So, MORE ZELDA!

I just want to point out the Persona 4 Arena is made by Ark System works, otherwise known of AS ArkSys, creaters of Guilty Gear and Blazblue.

Just sayin'

The only bad thing about Aksys fighting games is that they're always so similar at basic mechanisms... they change elements, but the base is always the same. I've played too much Guilty Gear and Blazblue, P4A seem so similar beside of the personas thing (that can be united to the Drive Blazblue attack after all).

Atlus has a reputation for having a very limited print run of many of their great games. These games often end up being among the rarest on the system. It is good to see they are making the games available on PSN so people don't have to pay the inflated eBay prices. Atlus and Working Designs are my favorite localization publishers. It is a shame the later bit the dust some while ago.

Origin (EA's digital disrtibution platform) kinda sucks. I've also read that EA intends to go completely digital in the near future, relying on Origin only.

That's not gonna work.

I wish no one tried to compete with Steam. Things would be so much easier if there was just one digital distribution system. As long as we don't have multiple platforms for one game like we do with consoles...

No, it really won't. But I'm sure EA has the money to back up that failure when it happens.

Either way, it might be funny to watch, though some console users might be mad if they don't get their Dragon Age 3. XP

From what I understand EA is being pretty stupid about how they handle copy protection and distribution
Like they've started releasing single player games that require an internet connection to start
and people got in a huff about their DRM a couple years back

Not to mention that they make you pay an extra 10 dollars to play one specific game on line
No one else does this!

Buy 60 dollar game, make it 70 to play online.

I tried Origin ONE time, and it kept crashing, not only that, okay, one of my long winded stories, so I was playing Syndicate at a friends (Its not that good) and he has a few of his friends help me and t was cool. For 5 minutes. So, we get into the game and WHAT DO YOU KNOW! It had issues, so we reload and it works, now there are these tazer enemies that ruin the gameplay, I got hit by one of them and couldn't move, so my party tries to come and save me, and we all die. So, we reload and it kicked us ALL from the game, we try to reload, and it crashed. Eventually we just gave up.

TLDR, use Steam
