My favorite possessions would either be my plushies or my Nord Lead.

There are two things I take with me where ever I go.
The first is a book of quotes called "Ancient Wisdom, Timeless Truths".
The second is a squeaky octopus that a friend knitted for me.

Re: Do you have a favorite material possession?
I had 2 things...
My first was a silver chain I had from Italy. Fricken loved it, but it's somehow gone missing recently.
My other is slightly more unique and special to me. I saw Dragonforce, the band I have a tattoo of on my arm, and I managed to get a pick that they throw into the crowd for the lucky few who catch them. Somehow, I lost that pick, and that's really really depressing for me.

Sentimental:
An old Mauser rifle passed down by a friend. It was manufactured in the mid-1890s, and holding it is like holding history. The craftsmanship is incredible, harkening as it does from a time long before CNC machining. It's in almost perfect condition, too. It even shoots well... if you can find any 7.65x53.5 Argentine ammo for it!
Practical:
Gerber Paraframe. It goes with me everywhere (except where prohibited by law), and has come in handy on innumerable occasions. Excellent little knife.

Practical: SOG Flash II. Goes everywhere with me. Best knife I've ever had.GunRacer wrote:Practical:

Right now, my favorite possessions are my phone and laptop (cuz they're both expensive and I don't want to buy them again) and my Oakleys my Grandmother got me for graduation.

Re: Do you have a favorite material possession?
My Airasaka my Grandfather brought back from WWII. Its not worth all that much, and really, its nothing special, its old and doesn't look or shoot that well, but it will forever be my first rifle I owned. Odd story actually, we were cleaning out the room I now live in some years back, and I found the gun, just sitting in the closet. We needed to bring it to a gunsmith because the gun was actually gutted, and turned around, so its all original. But I don't know its story, where he got it, what happened, why THAT gun. Its a cool piece I might put pics up of soon.

My Most prized possession is probably my computer, not because I'm a massive gamer or because I spend all of too much time on the web, but because of the work that went into getting it. got a summer job doing physical labor and busted my behind for months to afford that thing, It was earned, and I'm darn proud of it.

I don't have a digital camera and she did not post a picture on her knitting blog on Tumblr, but this is the pattern that she used.
Mine looks like this but its green with yellow under parts. She also added a squeaky ball in the head section so it squeaks when you squeeze it.

Re: Do you have a favorite material possession?
There's favorite and then there is "most favorite". I have a few favorites, and it'd be tough to separate them out. Maybe rank them in order of first to last in terms of which one's I'd sell first and then last.
One of my favorites that I'd probably sell last is my 1984 Pontiac Trans Am. . It's twenty-eight years old this upcoming June, and I've owned it for nearly twenty-two years. It still looks pretty much like new on the outside, but has 2 1/2 times more horsepower than when it was new and handles like a mid-90's Corvette on the race track. It's not particularly valuable, nor particularly rare, (well maybe that's no longer true) but what makes it my favorite are the memories that are wrapped into the car, from my time in the USAF, to meeting my wife, driving it on Daytona Beach, racing it, and carrying my youngest children around in their baby seats during the summer. There's innumerable numbers of hours spent working on it, modifying it, and improving it.
Won't bore you with the details other than these two pictures:
The competition suspension, custom fabricated exhaust, custom crossmembers, six-speed transmission, big-bad Moser 12-bolt, and all the goodies you don't usually get to see:
