Awesome heard Bob's scream, and it was enough to make him fall out of the tree. It didn't take a second for him to come to and run to where he heard the yell. He ran past the Cake sisters to see the wolf on the floor, out cold.

Awesome looked left and right quite shocked and a little afraid before saying "What happened here?"

As Zack saw what unfolded, he whispered, "WOW...Someone just threatened to slap Vanilla. While it may not be very surprising, it's still a first...Wait. Did I just say that's not very surprising? Huh..."

Beta? Beeeeeetttaaaaaa?
Huh? Who said that?
Don't be alarmed, Beta. Just look at me. Beta moves his head towards the voice. It was a soft voice...a calming, soothing voice. That's it, just a bit more...there we are.
In front of him, Beta can see a wolf. A wolf that strangely looked like he did...except it was grey (((OOC: IGNORE THE TAG))). Wha? Who...who are you?
Heh, silly me, said the wolf, I forgot that we've never properly met. I've been watching you, Beta. I've been watching what you've been doing, and I've got a few things to say to you.
But... started Beta, before the other wolf spoke over him. No buts, Beta. You've been acting out of order, you little scamp. Why did you threaten that dog after she returned your tag, the one that matters to you so much...?
Well...uh, uh...um...I...I have no idea. stammered Beta. It's just that...um...uh...I was really in a bad state...and And that's all I wanted to hear. But if you don't know why you did it, then why did you try to justify it? I've told you, I was in a bad state, and Beta, Beta, oh Beta, I know that you were. You had a hard life as a cub, and as much as it was an accident that reminded you of all of it, you did not deserve to remember those painful times. They bring me pain as well, Beta. They really do. But you put it best yourself when you spoke to Lucky. If you dwell on those thoughts, they will only haunt you for longer. It won't help you later in life, and it hasn't helped you now.
I...I guess you're right... Beta, you're a good wolf. Bad things have happened to you and nothing will ever change that, but none of it has been your fault. I'm really sorry Beta. If anything, this is all my fault. But do you see me dwelling on it? Beta, I'm sorry for all that has happened, but please, just promise me one thing. You will apologise to Vanilla. Regardless of what she says to you, she will...let's just say she'll know what's going on. And you will leave behind all of your memories of life as a cub. That that doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, Beta. Be strong for me, ok? Just give this to Vanilla and everything will get better.
What...what do you mean? I...I promise to do those things, but...who...who are you? The wolf just smiles at Beta. It is at that point when Beta notices that the wolf in front of him has a tag around his neck...shaped like the greek letter alpha. The wolf kept smiling, took the tag off of his neck, and then took the tag itself off of its chain. He then put both of them into Beta's paws, and still he was smiling. Wait...it can't be................d-d--ddd-d-d.......dad? And as Beta says that, he realises who he has been talking to, and everything around him vanishes.

BETA!!!!!!!!!!!
Beta slowly opens his eyes, before opening them fully, and screaming DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoa there, Beta! HE'S AWAKE, EVERYBODY! shouts Bob. Now, why were you screaming Dad, this may never make sense to you even if I explain it a thousand time over, but I need to know this and I need to know this now, so please tell me what my father looked like.
Err, that's a bit out of the blue...let me rememWAIT, why are you asking this? You just threatened to Dad, I can explain everything, but only if you tell me what my father looked like. ...fine. For what it's worth, he was pretty much like you are now, except his fur was grey. Oh, and he wore a tag that was shaped like the greek letter alpha... Bob looked stunned. He and Beta had said that in perfect unison. Hey! How did you know that? I met him, Dad. I met him, I spoke to him, and I need to apologise to Vanilla as soon as I can.

Stop joking around, Beta. And what's that in your hands... Huh? *holds out his paws* No way...how in the world... for in Beta's left paw, there was a ball-chain. And in his right paw, there was a metal tag, shaped like the greek letter alpha. Dad, I need to speak to Vanilla, and I need to do it as soon as I can. Excuse me!

Beta gets up and runs in the direction that Vanilla and Honey had gone in. Bob just stares blankly at Beta as he runs away. He tries to speak, but nothing comes out of his mouth. He is speechless.

Zack just grimaced as the wolf began running after Vanilla. "Oh, GREAT...This might not help anything, but I already had my third strike, anyway." Then, Zack took off after the Wolf. "WAIT! STOP! YOU'LL JUST MAKE THINGS WITH VANILLA WORSE!"

Beta could hear a voice shouting behind him. I don't know who you are or why you're running after me, but I know that I need to speak to Vanilla...and that she'll know what's going on...and that she'll understand...Alpha told me so...SO as much as I would normally stop and listen to you, I need to speak to Vanilla!

When the Cake sisters realized Beta was RUNNING after them, Vanilla got even more frightened.

"Oh, no, RUN! Pick up the pace!" she cried. "Don't go straight home--he'll know where we live!"

Honey didn't know where else to go, so she simply followed Vanilla. Vanilla had shorter legs anyway and if Honey stayed between them she could protect her sister. If Beta tried ANYTHING with Vanilla, Honey would...well, she didn't know WHAT she'd do....

They thought they heard Zack's voice saying that Beta would only make things worse. Vanilla was only made more frightened than ever--she didn't for an instant think that his words were meant unselfishly. Honey didn't have time to think about it either way.

They continued running, trying to find some place to ditch their pursuers.

Beta knew that this was hopeless. They were both faster and more agile than he was, and there was this...really annoying voice...Ok, fine. Beta stopped running, and turned to face whoever was shouting at him. Now who are you?

The husky stopped as well. "My name is Zack. And, trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Look, you can't just talk to her after threatening her, or, acting crazy or violent. She probably thinks of you like little kids would think of the Boogeyman. Just give her time, and, maybe try talking to her again...Or, try something else."

*Wow...a husky...I love huskies...especially the pups* thought Beta, his mind straying slightly from the point. I'm Beta, and I really need to talk to her. I need to show her this...*shows Zack the alpha-tag* Alpha...I mean...dad...told me to.

Okay, this really won't make much sense, but...bear with me.

Beta then explains to Zack exactly what happened to him while he was unconscious. And that's why I need to give her the tag.

Utterly shocked at the recent events, Sebastian has been struck speechless-- By Vanilla's outburst, Beta's response, his collapse... He couldn't have answered whether or not it was 'that bad' if he'd tried. As Honey and Vanilla made their exit, but slowly backed further into the bushes himself. Beta's father was there to help him, and he'd sprung up almost as fast as he'd fallen-- but Sebastian had turned tail and left himself not a moment after the fact. It all seemed so foreign to him, and if 'sensibility' had left with Vanilla, it most certainly had nothing to hold onto in him.

Back home, oblivious to the unusual events at the park, Dahlia was patting herself on the back for a job well done on her 'project'. ... Metaphorically, of course. She was returning to the house when she heard a sound coming from the road. Like someone running... Multiple someones? She turned back, and spotted Honey and Vanilla running... In fear, from the looks of it. "Hey! What's going on?", she asked in her most calm voice; an amazing feat considering the two girls seemed to be running from something, as opposed to towards.

Beta puts his right paw on Zack's shoulder. Zack...listen to me. And as he spoke, his voice changed...and it sounded more soothing...it was no longer Beta speaking. It was Alpha, his dad. This is something that Beta has to do. And whether you agree with it or not, he has to do it. So please let him do what he needs to do. Beta then shakes his head around a bit. What just happened? It was Beta speaking again.

Honey and Vanilla stopped briefly to catch their breaths.

"Betawolf...." said Honey, panting.

"He tried to HIT me!" cried Vanilla. "Now he's chasing us!" She was trying to keep a stiff upper lip, but it wasn't easy.

Narrowing her eyes as she looked between the two, Dahlia honestly had no idea what in the world they were talking about. "Betawolf?... Are the guys trying to give themselves 'tough' nicknames now?..." Though oblivious to the new member of the neighborhood, she could tell that they seemed legitimately afraid-- especially if Beta-whatsit actually wanted to hit one of them. "Do you two... Want any help, or anything?", she asked, trying to be helpful despite her skepticism. As a line of defense, she neither wanted nor expected to be fighting off someone who had Honey and Vanilla both already running, but that was beside the point.

"I don't think there's anything you can do," said Honey when she caught her breath. "This is an actual wolf--he's HUGE!"

"Just don't tell anyone you saw us," said Vanilla. "And stay away from him--he's dangerous! And alert your owner!"

When the Cake sisters had caught their breath they looked behind them. They didn't see anyone, so they started for home, but remained cautious.

"Rrrrright. I'll just... Find Seb, and get right on it. Be safe, now." Though she couldn't mask the disbelief, she meant the last part more sincerely. Waving goodbye as Honey and Vanilla walked along, Dahlia couldn't help but wonder if maybe they were just crazy, though. 'What would a dangerous wolf be doing in Radiant Gardens, anyway?...', she thought to herself.

The first thing to spring to mind, however, was the story of 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'. One of the oldest tricks in the book... Literally. A little different when done by dogs, but she scolded herself for thinking for a second that the girls were actually being chased by wolves none the less.

They were starting to come into familiar territory now, and Vanilla stopped.

"That conceited whippet didn't believe us!" Vanilla snapped. "Of all the abominable behaviors we could have encountered.... Is there NO voice of reason left in this entire NEIGHBORHOOD?!?"

She collapsed on the steps outside their house and burst into tears. She scarcely even cared if anyone saw her now--what did their opinions matter? They were nothing but a bunch of pea-brained lunatics that didn't deserve to breathe the same air as her.

Honey sat down and put her arms around her sister, who did not resist.

Ok Zack, I'm sorry about this...I need to go after them.

Beta knew that they would be far away from him by this point, but he was strong-willed, and he pushed on anyway. That's the great thing about wolves. What they lack in speed, they make up for in stamina, and while Beta was by no means the fittest wolf in the world, he was definitely able to keep himself moving.

Awesome hadn't got an answer, so instead he turned to Seb but thought overwise...He slowly said:
"I...I don't want to know what just happened. I know I can trust you, and I'm sure Honey is doing what she thinks is right. I've still not really talked with Vanilla, and I'm sure Beta hasn't done anything bad...please don't tell me what happened."
Awesome decided if it didn't involve him, he didn't want to know...besides he didn't want to think anything bad about people he barely even knew.

Beta just kept going. Even he, a wolf, was now starting to get tired. Add that to the fact that he had no idea where the Cake sisters had actually gone...and he really wasn't feeling too good. He had gotten out of the park, that was for sure, but...where now? So...tired...oh my...so many houses...so many possibilities...and even if I find them...no matter what Alpha has told me...Zack seemed pretty insistent that talking to Vanilla would only make things worse.

Beta collapsed in the road. He simply had not the energy to go on. The time he had spent unconscious must've taken its toll.

Not too long after the cake sisters had passed by, on her way inside for a second time Dahlia noticed the sound of footfalls approaching yet again. 'More wolves?...', she thought to herself, expecting to turn around and see another group of pets run by looking scared. However, when she did, her jaw dropped at what she recognized, unmistakably, as an actual wolf. Staring at Beta as he passed, and then collapsed, Dahlia couldn't think of anything to say, save for a simple, "Oh." She couldn't tell about dangerous-- though he did seem to be giving chase, he didn't seem like any great monster either, lying on the ground like that-- but at the moment her previous annoyance at her gullibility had inverted to a wondering why she hadn't been more trusting when she'd first heard Honey and Vanilla's story. 'Boy Who Cried Wolf', this was not.

Sebastian, on the other hand, looked curiously at Awesome, and opened his mouth as if to say something, then closed it. He tried again, but no words came out. He was having a hard time sorting things out for himself, but trying to explain to awesome without actually explaining seemed to stop him in his tracks. Finally though, he nodded his head. "I'm... Sure everything will work out for them.", he said, though he wasn't as certain as he tried to sound.

Beta noticed a whippet dog in the road. He tried calling to her, but he really was not strong enough. Instead, he beckoned for her to come over to him with his paw, but he found even that difficult. He would need a lot more time before he was fully recovered.

Lucky was standing aside, he hadn't been crying since the soothing words Beta had told him. but when he was unconscious, Lucky was freaking out, he wanted to help, but didn't know what to do, he was relieved to see Beta get back up, but then was shocked again as he said something, then ran in the way Honey and Vanilla had walked.

Lucky took off running behind Beta, but was far behind, when he looked far up ahead he saw Beta talking to what looked like Zack, and then started running again.

Lucky was getting tired, and had lost sight of Beta by now, he stumbled out of the park and sat down on the sidewalk and saw Dahlia standing in the middle of the road, staring at something on the ground, from where Lucky was sitting all it looked like was some roadkill.

Lucky heard something, and looked over to the right to hear Dahlia say something about "Water"
"Well if she wants water then why doesn't she just forget about the roadkill and go inside and get some?"
Lucky didn't really want to think why she would want water, he was too tired.

Awesome sighed at Seb. He noticed the slight uncertainty in his voice.
If I came a little sooner I would've seen whatever happened. I might've been able to help...not that I know how I could've helped.
Awesome tried to pull off a smile as he said "Well, this doesn't concern us, right? I mean, it doesn't concern me...perhaps it's best not to think too hard about it. I'm sure nobody here would hold a grudge..."
Awesome tied to sound truthful, but he didn't believe what he was saying.

"Beta?" Lucky looked back over to Dahlia and the Roadkill.
He then realized that it wasn't Dahlia who had said it, it was... "BETA!"
Lucky got up and ran over to Beta, thinking that he was hit by a car or something, but then he thought the car would be somewhere nearby if they had hit him.

Lucky bent down to where Beta was.
"Beta are you okay?!"

Biting her bottom lip, now certain that the wolf wasn't going to just get up on his own, Dahlia quickly thought about what to do. On the one hand, if Honey and Vanilla had been right about the wolf in the first place, they could just as easily be right about the 'dangerous' part, too. On the other hand however, the wolf had just fallen flat on the ground, and looked almost helpless... And now, appeared to be calling for help.

Despite being odd enough to refer to himself in the third person, Dahlia didn't want to just ignore the request. She ran inside the house, and returned with a glass of water. "You... Need water, right?..." Her hands shook as she leaned down to offer him some water-- everything in her head was screaming 'bad idea', but somehow she found herself doing this anyway... Albeit ready to jump back at any sudden movement from the wolf.

Lucky had stood up, was about to run and get some, but it seemed as though Dahlia had already went in and gotten one. That was fast. Lucky thought to himself,
he then realized they were in the middle of the road, and the danger they all were in.
"You can thank her when your safe. Right now we need to get out of the road. Do you need help?"
