Arc 42: Not All Dogs
Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
Why doesn't King get it?
Now King is oblivious and Sasha fails to pretend being dumb.

Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
she needs to read from a card. Good thing that Bino is so oblivious to things some times.
Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
This is awesome! Bino has to brag, he just has to. I like him as a character. Go number six!
I didn't know Bino and Fido were so close. And Spo is there! How long has it been since we've seen him?
Did King write that card? Or was Sasha trying to prepare?

Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
Fido and Bino are closer than I thought and I think that King wrote the card.

It's so nice seeing Bino and Fido hanging out. Brotherly love. ^_^
Maybe this will make fewer Bino haters.

I was looking at panel two for a while, wondering to myself, "What the heck is that pink thing?! It can't be exposed muscle or something silly like that... oh! Wait, that's must be an umbrella!"
Sasha reminds me of those bad high school presentations where the speaker never looks up from their cue cards. -10 points on the presentation score!
I also love Bino's "What." Expression in panel three. XD

Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
So it took Sasha the whole day to prepare for this and to write that card? Or was King really helping her clean the house before she came to Bino?! Wow, what a nice guy....
Anyway, this comic is awesome. Can't wait for Wednesday.

Gotta love Bino. He's such an awesome dog! I love how shocked he was that Sasha suggested the snuggles.

Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
I still haven't read any of this arc, and I'm getting confusing/concerning reports about it as such. I thought this was supposed to be double strips, mostly, for one thing?
Also, trying not to doubt Rick's writing ability (he's proven me wrong SO many times), but I wonder how he intends for this to resolve anything major in King's storyline? There's only five updates left in the arc, after all, and a status quo ante type ending would be highly disappointing, as this has never been known to happen with King's story. It seems to me that so MUCH has gone on already with King, the cosmic nerds, Fox, and the others that it would be a shame for nothing big to change or happen by the time this arc is over.
EDIT: Oh, and I hope it's nothing bad.
Oh well. We will see. It's not finished yet...

Uh, it was said in Rick's Twitter how long it'd be (I THINK), and we're getting to the end of year three of the comic.

Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
Yeah Rick said that the arc will be 18 strips long on his Twitter
Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
it would seem very strange to me if an arc carrying this much weight (come on, King's FATE for heaven's sake) left the characters in the same place that they were before. I'm guessing that something very significant is going to happen to King.PhoenixAsper wrote: Also, trying not to doubt Rick's writing ability (he's proven me wrong SO many times), but I wonder how he intends for this to resolve anything major in King's storyline? If you need to strengthen it, I suggest taking some inspiration from the WMG threadrickgriffin wrote:And now you guys are making me wonder if the ending I have planned is the best one I could do . . .
especially the part where Fox is a strawberry malt

I don't know whether to dread or cheer that statement. I'm just waiting for the explosion to happen, whatever that may be. Also, see above. You HAVE proven me wrong before.
Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
don't worry too much. From what I've seen so far I have no reason to doubt that the ending won't be good enough.rickgriffin wrote:And now you guys are making me wonder if the ending I have planned is the best one I could do . . .

As everyone is saying don't worry about it Rick, 99% of what you do is great and this will be as usual.rickgriffin wrote:And now you guys are making me wonder if the ending I have planned is the best one I could do . . .
Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
If you are wondering if the ending isn't the best one though, you could ask yourself If it's being done right. I think the problem with some of the arcs is most fans expect closure on some things rather than a continuation as of recent. I think it has to do with King though. It usually come with continuation and i'm just guessing, considering the nature of the arc, some people just want closure rather than continuation. But i think it just has to do with the moment when Fox paused after seeing King wanting that watch so badly. I would also be thinking there's going to be a closure moment there too, but that's just something i think you gotta watchout for in the future, Rick =3rickgriffin wrote:And now you guys are making me wonder if the ending I have planned is the best one I could do . . .

Can you do a better one?
I wouldn't be mad if you had to add some extra strips to the arc to do it right.

This statement makes me fear that this will be the last of King's arcs (appart from the sequel of All King's men).rickgriffin wrote:And now you guys are making me wonder if the ending I have planned is the best one I could do . . .

Don't be silly. WAY too much left undone in his story.
Oh, and GameCobra's totally got a point.

Re: Arc 42: Not All Dogs
My opinion is until King is human his story will probably never be over (and maybe it won't be even then). Personally, though, I kinda hope that doesn't happen for a very long time. i like King.PhoenixAsper wrote:Don't be silly. WAY too much left undone in his story.

OR until he chooses NOT to be. He doesn't exactly have a lot to gain or go back to by being Joel. He just hasn't thought it out.
