Sorrow: Only because my friend forgot to set his alarm clock before leaving for work, so I missed a day of school because of him... :/

Sorry to hear about that Aaron. I know how it feels to lose a pet that way. It really sucks. I know it wasn't your pet, but still, that is a sad thing to watch...

Sorrow: I have a nasty cough so I felt kind of 'blah' all day. Then to top it off my stupid train decided to take a thirty minute stop out on the open tracks on my way home, leaving me late and hungry.

If by "fanfiction" you mean unofficial books that are about well-known characters, they do that all the time! You don't even have to look very far for them! Peter Pan and the Starcatchers, Wicked, etc. Not to mention practically EVERYTHING Disney-related.

And I did mention Shakespeare, although plays were meant to be watched and not read. Unless there's one I don't know about, pretty much EVERY play he did was based on an already-existing story.

Tha Housedog is right. Anger in and of itself is not a bad thing. Please don't ever think you're a terrible person--if you WERE, you wouldn't be listing that as a sorrow because you wouldn't care.

Not the best solution there. They might call their children stupid because they fear that THEY are stupid--saying something like that could only reinforce their fears.

No, actually, that's a SMART comeback. Instead of them insulting you, you've insulted them. Telling a child every day "You're stupid" isn't really a sign of them being afraid of their children being stupid. It's rather a sign of bad parenting.
