Re: Art Thread

Here’s a little something I came up with, been under the weather and lacking motivation but seeing some Japanese prints gave me the motivation to sketch something out, I wanted to get a bit more dynamism and pose, quite happy with it, hope you like it.

Our sheltie collie, Sophie, died today four years ago at the age of twenty-one. We have two new dogs now, skipperkees, and they're a lot fun but i still miss her deeply. I wish I could enjoy something half as much as Sophie enjoyed everything ... :) The ability to see the fun and joy in the everyda...

Re: Disney's Bambi discussion

I read the book (on Weston’s recommendation) then rewatched the film, having only ever seen snippets, I prefer the book as the characters have more depth to me, particularly Faline whom I found quite mercurial and intriguing in the book. I do love the animated style of the movie I have to confess. B...

Re: Joys And Sorrows

A great synopsis Weston, interesting your point regarding the faces, I must confess I found the inconsistency and sometimes unflattering drawing style of the faces a little off putting at first but I soon found myself too absorbed by the tale to take issue with it. It is touching how one of the tech...

Re: Joys And Sorrows

Read LAIKA by Nick Abadzis, a good read, interesting to learn more of her story, the early space flights always interested me, and Korolev, the chief designer, I always wondered what he could have achieved had he not died when he did, would the Soviets have made it to the moon, who knows. A fan of Sasha, a great character, clever use of blurring to create depth there.

Not drawn for a while, been pretty burnt out and not in the mood but here's a dapper dappled chap. Stable hair but he's running with it.

Happy new years and brilliant work! Great pic of Nadia and Daisy, like the line style. I really liked Daisy in the comic, a canine of few words but I think that made her all the more enigmatic.
