Just waiting for the eventual news that my grandmother couldn't fight anymore and has left to go be with my late grandfather since the news that I keep getting isn't good. She broke her pelvis in 2 places and suffers from the heart condition known as AFib which is quite dangerous especially at the age of 86 so it would be risky and she also has COVID. I was just told that surgery is off the table now and they have moved to palliative care to make her comfortable. So I think I'm going into the mode of preparing for the worst even if I am not actively doing it.

Getting annoyed over the fact that my schedule at work has been changed AGAIN and I have to work tomorrow after just working yesterday. Also I hae therapy tomorrow so I will have to get up at an even EARLIER time, sleep for barely an hour afterwards and then go to work.

Monday's chapter of Shade is straddling the line between PG and not-PG, so I'm gonna be rereading and re-editing both that chapter and the backup alternate chapter to be sure they're both ready for posting. There's nothing explicit in it, but I still wanted to have the alternate chapter ready just in case a mod contacted me and told me it's a no-go.

Being glad for once that I do have work today even though it can be so tedious at times. Going in means I don't have to do any leaf bagging which is something I honestly HATE doing and would rather drive nails under my fingernails.

"Sabotthing", I'm tired. Spent the week packing, sorting, and moving stuff in the church we're shutting down while also preparing to sojourn in another church for an indefinite period of months. Oh, and then there's bills, funerals, windstorms, contractors, credit card issues, and direct deposit visits behind me finally.

So I'm gonna finish my coffee and spend the morning doing a detailed study of the back of my eyelids.

Peak season at work is kicking my tail. I've been having to get up at 1 AM or earlier in order to be in on time all week, which means I get to have very little sleep. I've been getting home from work, having a shower, posting the day's chapter, and then crashing on the couch. I haven't written a word all week. I might take January off from daily uploads and just do Monday-Wednesday-Friday so I can recover and get a story or two under my belt.

I will be working today after having a day off as I was put on Sunday for some reason so I am going to rest up since I know it will get more busy as Christmas gets closer. When people ask if we have snail salad though, I can now finally say yes after saying no to them many times before because we DIDN'T have it. LOL

Watching the snow melt outside since it is now in the upper 40s over here and being annoyed because when we got home from Vermont on Saturday the FIRST thing we needed to do after a 4 hour car ride was shovel are INCREDIBLY steep driveway.

I got a free day off work, so I'm coming to my computer really early in the morning hoping to get some writing done before The Obnoxious One (my niece) gets up and starts making all sorts of unnecessary noises for no reason and making it impossible for me to focus. No upload today; I don't want to burn my limited backlog while also not actually generating more content. It'll probably be next week at the earliest before Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday uploads resume.

Heading back to work today after having a few days off for Christmas and heading to Vermont to see my family right after Christmas. Even thoughI haven't been to work in 8 days I still don't feel like I'm ready to head back in.

Today it was BRUTAL because we had a ton of people wanting shrimp and lobsters most likely for New Year's Eve celebration and I barely got a chance to rest between it all. Now I am back home and I am just going to relax and see if I can stay awake for the year change over but if not its no big deal.

Today is the new year. Although there are things that would screw over the internet, I don't know how exactly to feel since I am dreading the new year overall.

I just hope I can get writing more often than not. Hence why the first thing I'm going to do is work on Michael Skystriker Nelson's various shindigs as he is always up for a challenge. Oh and the SYStem OPerators of 'The King Of Games Server' (TKOGS) may as well have adopted him as his guardians since his biological father (Darth Vader Sanchez) is a complete embarrassment for being such a "Pop cultured addled geek who wouldn't last in these taxing challenges." (Mike's words.)

...It would be enough to have the actual Darth Vader be one of many rivals of the wolf cub just so he can face off against his father in a metaphorical confines.

Well, that's going to be my starting point, Wish me luck on the writing overall and hopefully I can have enough practice on my belt to work on those movies that I tried pitch.

(And Yes, Mike knows of MST3K and remarked to King James Milton that 'his parents must have really hated him.' Hence Micheal choosing the name out of respect for the corgi,)

Happy ... or "a happy-er" New Year to all. We had a nice little snow early this morning that covered all the treacherous ice sheets so I think I'll catch up on my reading. No newspapers, though. When I retired, my new year's resolution was "No News on New Year's Day." More a superstition than a resolution, perhaps, but why start your new year with bad news. It'll keep `til January 2nd.

Today's the first time in like two weeks I've been able to do any writing, and I'm having a hard time picking up the flow again. I want to finish the story I was working on, but the New Ideas bug has bitten me many times and I'm excited to get started on New Ideas. Plus, I'm a little under the weather, and my head feels all kinds of fuzzy.
