Miles mentally face palmed.

"Sigh, all right guys, time to go out in the open," Miles said, "That was giving me a slight headache any way. No Gage, nothing's happened yet. We're going after him."

"Oh, and Duke, I wasn't much of a fighter, er, not much of," Miles added, then, thinking this to him:

But now a days I just use a few ghost tricks if I want to get clear of trouble. I mean, sure they're neat to learn, but, what good does martial art skills do against a physical opponent that you can barely touch right?

Duke gave a quick grin, as he heard Miles, still not up to speed with the whole ghost thing and mind talking but he'd try it if it worked both ways, sorta.

"Yeah I guess you're right, though for someone in a dangerous enviroment, lets say forests infested by stupid no good hunter's then its good to know a few tricks, though yall don't have that problem, do you?"

"Heh, I don't," Miles said, "Though most ferals I've met have some sort of weaponry or something too. Some can get pretty sophisticated."

And by that, yes, I did study under a few martial arts for a few years there. You know, just in case. And besides, I figured I'd need a way to pass the time. And, hopefully, find some inner peace. He thought to Duke.

ooc: So who's going to take care of the ordering thing?

Duke recolects his many encounters with Fearls and Miles was right some are sophisticated, some even surpassed Dukes level of intelligence but they still had dangerous predatorial instincts that were left unchecked.

"Yeah i've met my fair share, though if I may what was the situation with this feral that was giving you guys trouble? Mabey I can help, I mean I am somewhat a feral so mabey I can get a non hostile response, if not then I just hope we're faster than it is"

Duke thought to Miles, after turning his head away to look around.

(OOC: Uh i'm not sure, mabey one of the local group members could do that.)

"Hmm? Oh, it's a hack and slash dungeon crawler from the Gauntlet line of games. They're considered one of the hardest arcade staple games around." Sigurd answered as he turned his attention back toward Mason. "Their difficulty has actually been a big part of their success too, since it's considered point of pride among certain circles of gamers to have beaten the game at all the machines tend to make a lot of money, of course the typical cost of a completion run means you get bragging rights for beating it in under a certain amount...to give you an idea, the typically expected cost of a completion run is one hundred quarters for a group of four average players...that cost is even higher for smaller or less skilled groups." After saying all that the fox canted his head slightly in thought while continuing to look at Mason. "That was more than you needed to know, wasn't it...?"

"Well, I know we want half of one with veggies," he said, thumbing to the rabbit, "If you do half an' halfs, and I'm not sure what the others want. What'd you guys want again?"

Duke just keeps looking around, though more so trying to keep from salivating all over from the wonderful aroma of pizza's in the back, he then turns back to Miles.

Heh heh. Haven't been in one of these have we? It's just procedure. We also need to pay the "nice" people that made the pizza for us. So, we make our order here, they bring us out the food, we pay them, and then we leave. No trouble. Miles thought to Duke.

"Okay, so, well," Miles said, "I wasn't sure if they did that any more. Huh. Anyways. I'd like two cheese slices, and I guess everyone but Rena, since she already had something, wants pepperoni yes? And what'd you want Buster and Gage?"

Rena couldn't help but burst out laughing as Miles slipped in his phrasing in the perfect way to give her more reason to poke fun at him possibly having an attraction to her. "S-sorry." She said in between breaths as she continued laughing. "Just thinkin' on ol' memories." She said, trying to hide the reason why she was laughing so hard.

<Y'all really need ta be more careful how you phrase things, Miles.> She thought to him. <An' I'm payin' for the two of us if you really want me to get somethin'. After all, I'm a rather independent lady.> She added in her thought playfully, laughing a little harder as she did.

After a few minutes of exploring the reaches of his curiosity of the Pizza shop it started to blend in and the amazement faded out, and as it did his attention was brought to the laughter behind him and gave a suspicious look to the two before letting out a small smile and turning his head.

A strong willed female threatens to put herself in danger for everyone else and that crazy, wild, adventurous feeling catches you off guard and you fall head over heels! You thoughtless idiot! Ergh, okay, focus, focus. He thought to himself, clenching a fist.

He splashed his face with some water from the sink and tried to recenter and collect his thoughts. He knew that all it'd take was a good stare in the mirror. Just to remind him of what he was and what he could never have again.

He began as he turned to the machine itself, reaching a paw out to the mentioned buttons. "Close attack, ranged attack, special and finally item." He continued, pushing each of the four buttons in turn to show Mason which was which. Sigurd grinned at Mason's choice before putting in his own money and scrolling to the archer and making his selection. "Simple to learn, hard to master." The fox noted happily as the first level loaded and they began to fight the swarms of enemies. "Heh, seems the warrior is a good fit for you, you're doing pretty well for a first timer." Sigurd observed as they reached the first boss. "Just so you know though, the cake walk ends once we beat this guy."

Buster looked at the menu and was surprised. "I've never seen carrots on a pizza. I'll have two slices with carrot and a glass of carrot juice to go with it." He handed the menu back to the counter man with a smile.

Duke just scratches the nape of his neck, looking back at the group, not as comfortable as before

Duke tries to keep his cool, letting his tail sway back and forth and also trying not to let his hunger get the best of him.

Rena chuckled a little when Duke said something about finding a seat. "Tell ya what, Duke, why don't y'all find a seat while I wait for Miles, that way he don't have to look for us." She said as she walked over to where the bathrooms were, leaning against the wall next to the boy's bathroom. :What's he even doing in there? Duke nodded and jokingly looked around for a minute before sitting down in one of the many booths and looked curiously at the items on it, inspecting them and moving them in his paws and getting a feel for it.

Sigurd nodded as they continued on, the difficulty steadily increasing before shooting up suddenly as they moved into a new area. "Oh fuzz...!" The fox called as he and Mason both nearly went down. Only just scraping by with each new room they faced, constantly having to grab potions and healing items as continued on toward the next boss. "I think maybe I'm a little out of practice..." Buster sat next to Duke.
He thought to Miles for a bit. He had seemed a bit flustered earlier, reminding him of himself when he thought about Janus. Miles, you seemed a bit flustered as you rushed into the bathroom. Extremely similar to... someone else, you wouldn't happen to be having an emotional conflict, would you?
