Sigurd nodded and looked around the arcade, spotting a 'Gauntlet' style game in the corner he couldn't keep himself from grinning or his tail for wagging slightly. "Alright then, this'll be my pick." He called happily as he headed over toward the machine. "Oi, Rex, Chris, you two wanna join us?" He called to the two hopefully as he passed them, pointing toward the game he was headed for. "It's four player co-op hack and slash epicness." He chimed in an almost sing-song manner, giving a Cheshire grin at the notion of having a full roster for the game.

"Hmm? Oh, it's a hack and slash dungeon crawler from the Gauntlet line of games. They're considered one of the hardest arcade staple games around." Sigurd answered as he turned his attention back toward Mason. "Their difficulty has actually been a big part of their success too, since it's considered point of pride among certain circles of gamers to have beaten the game at all the machines tend to make a lot of money, of course the typical cost of a completion run means you get bragging rights for beating it in under a certain amount...to give you an idea, the typically expected cost of a completion run is one hundred quarters for a group of four average players...that cost is even higher for smaller or less skilled groups." After saying all that the fox canted his head slightly in thought while continuing to look at Mason. "That was more than you needed to know, wasn't it...?"

Mason smiled at Sigurd's happiness, following him towards his pick of game. Hack Slash Epicness? What kind of game is this? He asked Sigurd curious.

"We'll pass, Sigurd!" Rex said "It's been an eternity since we last played "the Terminator"!"
"Let's see if I'm still better than you, bro." Christopher said with a grin as they started the game

Yeah, a little bit. Most of that i didn't understand. Just tell me basic controls & game play, and I'll be ready. Mason told Sigurd, once they reached the game.

Sigurd nodded toward Rex after his reply before turning his attention back to Mason. "It's a simple control scheme for these, joystick to move and four buttons." He began as he turned to the machine itself, reaching a paw out to the mentioned buttons. "Close attack, ranged attack, special and finally item." He continued, pushing each of the four buttons in turn to show Mason which was which. "Item only works when you have an item...that's really about it...just pick which ever class you want to play as, run in, attack everything that moves and try to destroy the doors the enemies are coming from...and you'll understand what that means once we start so...ready?"

((Been a while since I played a game from the gauntlet line, might be listing the controls uber-wrong...just saying.))

Alright very simple to understand, let's play. Mason said after putting in his money and choosing the warrior.

"Actually, I'd like to know what kind of veggies you have to choose from," Buster said to the man behind the counter.

Thinking that he may have taking a bit long, he decided to get in touch with the group.

Hey, you guys order yet? He thought to his friends.

THe man behind the counter dug around under the counter for a while before emerging with a tattered menu, he tossed it to buster, "Here ya go"

Sigurd grinned at Mason's choice before putting in his own money and scrolling to the archer and making his selection. "Simple to learn, hard to master." The fox noted happily as the first level loaded and they began to fight the swarms of enemies. "Heh, seems the warrior is a good fit for you, you're doing pretty well for a first timer." Sigurd observed as they reached the first boss. "Just so you know though, the cake walk ends once we beat this guy."

Good that was too easy, i need a challenge. Mason said to Sigurd after beating the boss. On to the next level!
