I voted No.
When I first came across the Furry Fandom I thought that perhaps I was a furry because I too imagined a world with humanoid (anthroporomorphic) animals and I even wrote a story about it. But when I studied the subculture further I found aspects of the subculture to be offensive and corrupted. I therefore decided that the fandom was not for me.
However, I know not all furries are corrupt and some have said that furries are the most friendly people you could meet but I have been put off by what I have seen. I still have an interest in humanoid animals even if I am not a furry.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. It was those things that put me off the fandom...maybe, in the future, if the Furry Fandom changes I would reconsider my decision but until then this is were I stand.

Well there are different sections of it. I am a furry and I definatly avoid that side. But I understand. Furry is just a title that you give yourself if you feel you are.

On the other places of the interwebz, calling someone a furry pretty much goes to the highest extreme (as in... you know. THAT kind of pictures.)

That could be slowly changing. There are non-furry places where it's more understood than that.

I hope it is changing, Furry Fandom could be very successful as there are many millions of people who love animals, but because of the corruption in the Fandom both the media and public condemn the fandom, and the corruption generally makes all furries look bad whether or not you try to reason with the public and media.
If the fandom is ever to expand beyond the low numbers of furries today there definately needs to be change.

yes.
slightly off topic,
i was in english today and i had something furry i had drawn in my binder pocket. i thought i had put it face down, but i didn't, and i opened my binder and there it was in plain sight, ad tht made my heart beat in my ears and i quickly flipped to another page so noone could see it (noone did) and that made me realize that im a little embarassed of what i am.
and this mkes me sad :(

its not so much a plan... just talk. ask stuff. she draws, so i can ask her about that. and shes the kinda person that maybe might read webcomics, ask her about that. and i seen this drawin she did of a little girl thingy, but i had ears. so yeah, not really any plan.

If this girl did indeed draw those pictures you described then do mention it but do be careful not to let anything slip which you do not want to be public knowledge at school. By the way, have you wondered how your classmates would react to pictures of humanoid animals and such, why not leave a picture on a table when no one is looking to see how they react but DO NOT tell them you drew it even if they like it. Conducting experiments such as that can be helpful in observing how people might react to unfamiliar things.

...i might have been able to think of it...
but i don't care so much about how they'd react, unless i found out that they had no idea what it even was. that might make me feel better. but im certain they do. so id do it if i didn't think it would risk me being found out. there's just know time when i could be in a good place to put it when there wasn't someone else there to see me do it. unless i put it somewhere from where it would get moved to the classroom by other forces, like putting it between someone and their backpack, so when they took it off, it would fall out..

I see. Well if it is not something that interests you then I guess it does not matter. But still if you ever get curious about how people would react then there are lots of ways to do it. Placing a picture down on a table is just one way, and if your creative then I am sure you could find all sorts of ways to experiment with public opinion.
