How do the Housepets! Play fetch?

Just thinking about what a game of fetch would look like depending on which Housepets character you play with.

Peanut- classic style. Catches the ball in his mouth and runs it back to the thrower.

Tarot- Will not play. She's more interested in studying the game than actually engaging in it.

Kevin- Brings the ball back and tackles the thrower.

Bino- He'll go get the ball but he'll complain about it the whole time. Three throws, maximum, and then he tells you to go get it yourself.

Duchess- Sends Boris to fetch the ball for her. He'll collect the ball and bring it to Duchess, and she'll give it back to the thrower.

Fido- Brings the ball back dutifully every time with a salute.

King- He'll go get the ball, but there is NO WAY it's going in his mouth so don't even ask. Gross.

Sasha- She'll go get the ball but you're not getting it back without a fight.

Bailey- Wishes you would throw the ball harder. These puny throws are barely enough to get up to speed before she has to stop to get the ball.

Ralph- He can fetch the ball better than anybody, just watch.

Grape- Oh, she'll go get the ball all right. And then she'll throw it at your face.

Tiger- Has literally no interest in going after the ball unless it's full of food. Or made of food. Actually, he's just going to stay here and break into the snacks.

Joey- He won't fetch the ball himself but he'll run around with the other dog that's fetching the ball and have a great time doing it.

Dallas- Wants you to use the latest ball-throwing gadget. But he can only play for a few minutes and then he has to go blog about how fun it was.

Mungo- "Here's your ball back. Sorry, I kinda squished it. I'll get you a new one."

Olive- "Oh boy! A ball! MINE! I'm gonna get it!" (Immediately trips and falls on her face, then gets up and runs after the ball)

Ace- Goes and gets the ball if you specifically ask her but is suspicious that you're losing it on purpose.

Rook- He completely missed the throw because he wasn't paying attention and now you have no idea where the ball is.

Keene- Keeps the ball and adds it to his collection.

Jack- Tell him to fetch the ball again and you're going to need a proctologist to get it back after he gives it to you. He's not a dog!

Lester- You haven't SEEN fetch unless you've seen it in the original Japanese, uncut and unrated. In fact, the director's cut is better. If you REALLY want to be a purist you'd go out of your way to get it in the original media format because the remaster is-

I assume that with Lester's description of playing fetch that he is cut off when somebody throws the ball at him to shut him up? That would definitely be on brand with how I'm sure many people would want to deal with him since he won't shut up about how the original version of anything that is in Japanese is the best.

Oh, that was hilarious !! I just discovered your post after "one of those days " and what a great read after the late evening coffee! Nice work, Ginga; I needed that.

I think I speak for all of us when I say that does have to be done because it would be hilarious! Ginga definitely does have the personalities of these characters down in. how they would respond when playing the classic game!

I have a division of the house on playing fetch. Skipper just doesn't get it. he watches the ball bounce away and then looks back at me as if to say, "Why'd you do that? If you don't want it, why do you go and pick it back up??"

Now Bosun will fetch the ball but he has to think about giving it up. He's learning ... slowly.

None of the dogs we had knew how to play fetch nor could we ever teach them to do so no matter how much we tried. They would take whatever item we threw and after grabbing it just run off with it.

Boris, Yeltsin, Rex and Mungo take turns tossing Bino.

As much as everybody else completely DESPISES Bino and rightfully so since his attitude is so rotted, I don't think that Boris, Yeltsin or Rex would decide to ever start physically throwing him around and rough him up. I only see that happening if Duchess manages to somehow turn them against Bino which could be happening even as we speak.
