Title Text: I cry, you cry, we all cry for... bike ride?

In case y'all needed reminding that little kids are definitely aware of what's going on around them.

Whelp this night is just terrible for King. Nothing is going right at all.

Not quite the coming to jesus moment I was expecting but pretty much on par for the plot progression

Yeah, with little kids it definitely feels like that.

Also, you know Ace is the favorite if she's the only one who can sleep through the night without crying and ignoring everything around her.

Rook's first lines. AWWWWWWWW!

Wha? That's not how children think!

...but it's totally how puppies think

I sort of predicted King would use Bailey’s name to get out of doing something with Sasha, though I didn’t think it would end this badly. In hindsight though, it’s not to surprising. The only character more unfortunate things happen to is Fox. Sasha can really turn on her puppy eyes when it comes to it.
"The wild dogs cry out in the night" is a lyric in Toto’s song Africa (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTQbiNvZqaY). For context the next line is "As they grow restless, longing for some solitary company".

Heheheh that's a cool title for the strip

And King, you're handling this situation horribly, which is very entertaining

I get it, Sasha is a bit touchy at the moment, but I feel more bad for King.
But still he should had worded it better and I doubt Bailey meant he shouldn't play with Sasha anymore.
What King basically did was:
1) Put foot down
2) Open mouth
3) insert foot in mouth.

But Sasha being so wide awake makes me wonder why. Can't she sleep because of reasons or is she just the type of dog who needs a lot of activity and attenion?
If it's the last one then it's even more of a reason why it's good why she got away from her old owner.
If it's thefirst one then I wonder what is bothering her, although I do think it has to do with her bein emancipated.
A lot of things could happen here:
-King calms Sasha down
-Everyone finds them and they're getting angry at King (although the wolves actually seem to be far too mellow to be really mad with someone)
-Everyone finds them and tell Sasha how annoying she is with her clinginess (but again I doubt anyone would really do that)
- Sasha leaves the bathroom, because she is upset
- They have a heart to heart talk

What if it's all of those?

I mean they're not mutually exclusive to each other.

That could also be. For example I could imagine Bailey scolding both of them or even Miles, but then them having a hear to heart talk afterwards. Or something like that.
Like I said a LOT can happen.

Oh, now she’s going to be mad
at both Sasha and the dad.
The most insane of all mix-ups
has gone and woken all the pups.
Olive leads the pack again;
she’s the one with the cunning brain;
the others follow in her plan;
waking mom before bright Dawn can.
Sasha doesn’t understand it;
this place in which she’s forced to fit.
It’s not all just good fun and play.
Perhaps she’ll work that out. Someday.

I've been wondering, is Sasha really unaware of how stressful this all is for King? Or is she deliberately pushing his buttons for giggles?

Wow. Stereo sobbing! Sasha can really demonstrate the lachrymonial water-works, too.

"Crrrrryyyyyy me to the moooooon...... !"

I think it's more likely that she is really unaware of it.

Always glad to see more of the puppies. I don't think we've actually seen them crying, either directly or insinuated, since this page from 2016. Which also was just Olive and Rook.

I wouldn't be entirely too certain about that; yes I do think it more likely that she's genuinely unaware for the purposes of comic relief, but don't forget its been, if not outright confirmed at least heavily insinuated, that Sasha is much more perceptive than she lets on.

That was the core of my uncertainty as well. I think her airhead behavior is, at least in part, an act. Probably as a coping mechanism.

True and just because someone is perceptive doesn't mean that person always knows what's going on.
Peanut is also pretty perceptive and smarter than he looks, but he still misses some cues here and there.
So I imagine it's the same with Sasha.

Probably the former. In fact, here line of 'playing' makes me believe she thinks everything in life is a game and nothing more.

I would be with you right until she starts to cry. At that point, even if everything to that moment is a bit of a game, she crossed a line.

Maybe and this is me hazarding a guess: Maybe her crying was how her owner got her to attract ladies to him so she thinks if she cries, she'll get what she wants.

Well, more stress for King tonight...
--
The pups are all set to cry,
Following Sasha's lead.
Now it's on King to try
To calm them all in this time of need.

Sasha thinks Bailey hates her,
King knows that isn't true,
But we have a second problem for sure,
Sasha's going to go "boo-hoo."

All this can mean is trouble,
So please, Bailey, come on the double!

Can't wait until everyone starts calling King a bad dog. =P

A funny turn of events i predict is King stops worrying so much afterwards.

I'm not sure why, but I think Lucritia is about to enter the picture. Or an angry Bailey.

Though a scene where King and Sasha bond while calming the pups would be nice.,

Poor King and Sasha. I hope nobody is too hard on King, he truly does care for Sasha but he wants to set boundaries in their relationship. You know, this might be a good time for Bailey and Sasha to have heart-to-heart while King calms the pups, and maybe sleeps by them. Though it would be cute to see "aunt" Sasha and King calm the pups and maybe bond, or at least have King reassure Sasha that they do care about her.

I can just foresee an angry Bailey who is upset with King not for flirting with Sasha or being attracted but for making her cry so loud that it woke the puppies up glaring him down and forcing him to sleep in a literal doghouse for carelessly dropping that bit of information in a way that made it seem like they both didn't like her. :|

It's probably either being something with Bailey or that scene with the pups,
but honestly now I would LOVE to see Lucretia coming in and maybe doing something like talking to Sasha in a motherly way and talking with her how she (Lucretia) felt when her and her family were suddenly in such a new enviroment.
I think it could be very heartwarming and funny at the same time. Especielly if Lucretia talks about wolf things
I know it won't happen, but hey it's still a thought.

Eheh, you never show to be tired, Sasha. Go back to bed. :P Well, you wanted to kill, ehm, to brush King, wasn't it enough? ;) I have to agree with King, then, it's not time to play now. :| Bailey could play with you, but maybe she won't have much time, and now it's still sleeping, I suppose... Come on, Sasha, tomorrow you'll play with their puppies, instead! They're so cute! :D Your crying is so much easy how much contagious (and I bet your crying woke them up :P)... ;)

I do think the wolves need to be involved since they live in the house with them. It would be weird if we don't even react to whatever is going on with King's family but that might be them keeping their noses out of where they don't belong and I can respect that.

Maybe the puppies crying will bring out Sasha's motherly side - she'd make a great "auntie". We'd also get to see more of the pups and their personalities.

She could always be an aunt/babysitter to King and Bailey's pups. I think she'd do very well.

That would certainly be an interesting turn of events. I'd like to see Sasha as a mother. that would be interesting.

There isn't really any time where you'd want crying babies, but in this case they provide King with an immediate change in conversation that he so desperately needs right now.
