Re: Memes!
(This is more something that would make sense in Gen 1 and 2.
Re: Memes!
Unless Pokémon happens somewhere in Africa, the first one doesn't make sense.

Re: Memes!
The Onix one doesn't even look like an Onix that is dead and decomposing underground. Speaking about that, how in the heck would a Rock-Pokemon decompose after death anyway? All living things decompose so they can't say that Rock-Pokemon just don't do it. O.o

And leave some fossils behind instead of a skeleton. That's what Aerodactyl, Kabuto and Omaynate did.

And now I know that I should NEVER keep my back turned to evil pumpkins that aren't above killing their own.

Great, now I'm visualizing this playing out at Buckingham Palace:
"Queen Elizabeth."
*gatling gun pops out*
"And guest."
*weapon recedes*

I actually asked a guy about the whole fur-suiting thing a while ago. He explained some of the things that help to cool off people in costume, like built-in fans and dedicated cooling rooms. Still seems really uncomfortable, but it's different peoples thing in the end.

I have seen a quite a few panels of the convensions on youtube and they have people called handlers whose job is to stop the suiters from hurting themselves and not dying of thirst.D-Rock wrote:I actually asked a guy about the whole fur-suiting thing a while ago. Why my days of buying video games are pretty much over:
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Because they are taking the content out of the game and making it DLC?

All hope is not lost just yet. Halo 5 is a stand alone game without annoying add ons. Although I agree that the industry has gotte pretty bad.Douglas Collier wrote:Why my days of buying video games are pretty much over:

Re: Memes!
indies are trying to make games with a more reasonable ratio of cost to content, but the problem is inherent to AAA studio budgets and staff sizes.
The number of people and amount of time it takes to create those cinematic vistas, photorealistic graphics, and a bajilion lines of voice-aceted dialogue, not to mention optimizing all of that so is can run reasonably, costs almost as much as 2-3 summer blockbuster movies in some cases. except it's being sold to an audience a tenth the size of one of those, who are noticeably pickier and tend to only buy their favorite series most of the time. is it any wonder they're trying to get their money back any way they can?
until the "next gen = shinier Graphics" mentality among consumers is broken, for good, it's going to keep spiraling downward.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: Memes!
My first exposure to home internet, and this struggle was real.
True story, my brother almost smashed one of our cousin's faces with a ball. It slammed right above where her head was: against a metal pole. That was really scary for a while. Seriously, we just stared in silence over what almost happened.
