Counting the final four games of last season, the Golden State Warriors had a 28-game winning streak.
The NBA's longest winning streak was 33 by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1971-72 - and it was also snapped by Milwaukee.

Have some fun presidential history for you.
There were 21 presidents that only serviced one term out of 44 presidents which mean 48% of the presidents we had served one term. \
The presidents that served only one term are John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, William Harrison, John Tyler, James Polk, Zachary Taylor, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Rutherford Hayes, James Garfield, Chester Arthur, Benjamin Harrison, William Taft, Warren Harding, Herbert Hoover, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and George Bush Sr.
From 1837 to 1961, the US only had one term presidents them being Martin Van Buren, William Harrison, John Tyler, James Polk, Zachary Taylor, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan.
Gerald Ford was the shortest one term president who left the office alive and the fifth one term president that had the shortest term. The shortest were William Harrison, James Garfield, Zachary Taylor, Warren Harding and then Gerald Ford. All except Ford died in office.
George Bush Sr. was the last one term president that the US had.

In 1997, Charles Woodson became the second defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy. Woodson received 282 more voting points than runner-up Peyton Manning.
Charles Woodson is one of the few players in NFL history to play in a Pro Bowl in three different decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s).
He is currently sixth on the all time interceptions list with 65, and is tied with Rod Woodson and Darren Sharper for most career defensive touchdowns with 13. He also is second all time in interceptions returned for touchdowns, with 11.
Really enjoyed watching this guy play, sad that he's retiring after this season.

The first Western explorer to land on what is now known as New Zealand was a Dutchman named Abel Tasman. When he arrived in the 1640s, Tasman thought he had landed on a portion of Staten Landt, which is an island off the tip of Argentina, and he named it so. (Tasman was a little confused; it had been a long trip).
Soon after, Dutch cartographers Hendrik Brouwer and Joan Blaeu figured out that these large islands weren't actually part of South America, and Blaeu named the area Nieuw Zeeland after Zeeland, the westernmost province of the Netherlands. Zeeland is also made of islands, and its name means "sea land" in Dutch.
Englishman James Cook made three voyages to Nieuw Zeeland in the 1770s. The purpose of his original trip was to chart the path of Venus from the South Pacific, but Cook and his crew got lost and ended up in Nieuw Zeeland, which was relatively unexplored by Westerners since Tasman's original voyage. Cook charted most of the area's coastline, and he is responsible for anglicizing the name to "New Zealand."

The so-called Minute Waltz is several nested misnomers; it's not the "minnit" waltz, as in a waltz that lasts 60 seconds, but a "mynute" waltz, as in a small waltz. But that's a nickname given later; the "official" nickname is Valse du Petit Chien, or "Waltz of the Little Dog." Frederic Chopin, however, only gave formulaic titles to his compositions, so its official name wasn't even that. It was Waltz in D-flat major, Op. 64, No. 1.
It takes about a minute and a half to play properly.

Re: Useless Information Thread
Ever wonder why serial numbers are on the Twilight Zone playfield when the blacklight shines bright? the Internet Pinball Machine Database asked Pat Lawlor about this and this is what he had to say:
The reason for the serial numbers seems strange by today's standards. In 1992, Williams' agreement with its distributors gave them exclusive sales right to a territory. They did not have the right to sell outside of their territory. But some were doing just that. In order to track the game's origin from a distributor into the wild, the blacklight number was added. Williams knew where the game was originally shipped. If the game turned up outside of that territory, it was assumed that the distributor had "Bootlegged" the game outside of his territory. Then it was up to management to decide what penalty to incur on the offender. Remember, this was during a time when it was PROFITABLE to sell and operate pinball machines. This practice would be laughable today because ANY sale of a pinball machine is a good sale.

The Baltimore Ravens football team of the National Football League is the only team in history to be named after the title of a poem: "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. Poe was not from Baltimore, but he lived there for short periods. In 1849, he died there while visiting the city on business.
