I know noone else is getting this, but on google chrome the forums are
huge.
and its getting really annoying. However, if i use internet explorer then nothing happenes, its perfectly normal.
also all the way up at the top left it says "Need"

Yeah, I'm getting the same, too, and apparently, it's normal. You can make the forums smaller/bigger by holding CTRL and moving the mouse wheel up/down. If you press CTR+0, it returns to normal, and the forums return to this huge size.

Yes, you are not alone, but it only happens to Chrome. Mine is perfectly fine, since I use Firefox.
The word "need" is still there though.

HRNGH! The new design makes it THAT much harder to look at the forums on my phone...
That, and the reply buttons don't wrap, so all I see is "Quo, Lis, Lis, [*, Im, UR". Stupid Safari.

I use Firefox and the forums don't seem any bigger, but I did notice the "need" in the corner.

Guys I'm sorry, but the extension broke it. I'm going to look and see if there's anything I can do to fix it. It appears to be a rendering problem with Chrome.

Bam, got it.
Apparently that bit of text at the top was completely throwing off the relative size of all the other fonts, which is stupid but hey, it's labyrinthine code.

Glad it's all fixed.
But why was every board "unavailable" this morning about 5:00AM CST?
I honestly thought I was banned for some odd reason.

You can't access the forums while they're being updated, and modifying the files takes a little time!

Well, that's what you get for missing the excitement. I must say, though, it was a big improvement....
