I've heard it was a rule that shirt on was always the best punishment...but that was really just a metaphor for: "more attacks that hurt less, or fewer attacks that hurt more?"

THIS THREAD HAS VEERED OFF TOPIC FOR TOO LONG. FURTHER POSTS NOT DISCUSSING HOW REASONABLY AND HUMANELY THESE FORUMS ARE MODERATED WILL BE MET WITH PERMANENT BANS AT MODERATOR DISCRETION. THAT IS ALL. CARRY ON.
(That was a joke and I'm sure it's pretty clear, but I feel that as a moderator it'd still be irresponsible to not point that out explicitly.)

I guess that counts me out then, since I'm a cat.
Same goes for most of the forum... I think.

You don't have to be human to be treated humanely. I mean, heck, we have the Humane Society.

It's actually not, so (to remain pertinent to the thread) stop talking about that (or else!).

See that? That is exactly the reason this thread was started.
Perfect example right here.
BZPower is also pretty well moderated though...

This thread was started 'cause Sinder caught a screenshot with each forum's most recent post by its moderator. = P

Not if I share my experiences as a former mod of the most heavily moderated forum on the internet, that could make it a extra month!

That is quite an odd thing to hear. Many people are trouble makers, just some in different ways and times than others. Myself included.
And I would like to hear Mr. Mousy's input.

I never claimed it would be exciting. In fact, it mostly consists of me editing, moving threads to correct places, and deleting posts for being completely off topic (like 20 posts in a row.)

Why thank you Yehoshua!
Anyways, I'm grateful for the good moderation here (and anywhere) since
other places (not going to mention names) are so badly checked, conversations
can actually become so warped it becomes... scary.

Well, there have been minor ones. I remember at least one person (who is not the one you're talking about) who just could not grasp the rules during the one day he spent posting. And was a terrible poster.

If you're like myself, then I think so. If we're thinking of the same person, then the problem was removed really quickly. I still remember the uproar in the IRC at that time...

I don't think you were, Brent. Actually I don't think I was either. Also, we are not going to discuss specifics so I'm going to ask everyone to not talk or ask about them.

Okay, yeah, it's apparently impossible for this thread to stay on topic. As Foxstar says, it's outlived its usefulness.
