What Are You Doing Today?

Since the forum decided to take a nap, I'm back up to having 2 full stories in my pocket, fully written and ready to go, in addition to my currently active stories. This gives me extra wiggle room where I can work on my Hayven Celestia crossover as well as other stories.

Right now I am struggling with my nasal congestion because it doesn't seem to be getting any better and its making me lose it. Whenever I get sick like this I swear it hits me harder than anybody else.

Staring out the window, drinking my coffee, comforting the dogs, and wondering how I'm going to get my driveway by Sunday. This current snowstorm is projected to drop a foot of snow on my area, and then more snow on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Oh, well, time to work on the Internal Revenue Service's submissions ... pick your pains, people.

Still trying to will my body to finally defeat this nasal congestion that is driving me crazy and making me lose hope that I will ever get better. I just want to breathe again so BADLY.

Continuing to do anything I can to get my nasal congestion to finally subside so I can get back to normal. It honestly feels like that I will never be able to breathe well again.

Today's my day off from work and for some reason my writing brain doesn't want to report for work. It's taken me six hours to write out a single chapter and I still have a few paragraphs to go. I mean, it IS a slow point in the story but come ON, six hours to write a single chapter? My chapters aren't even that long! If I can focus long enough to finish it, I think I'm gonna take the rest of the day off to let my brain sleep and mindlessly consume previously made media.

Now I am willing my body to finally get over the last bit of congestion I have in my nose so I can go back to normal. Sometimes I think I am getting better and then it comes back again laughing at me and saying "Haha! **** you!".

Dayzee, I've heard of something that's supposed to help lingering congestion, but it's a little weird. If you have a "personal massager" or other item with a strong vibration, you're supposed to use it along your sinuses (along under your eyes and over the bridge of your nose) to shake loose any bits that are being stubborn. Your phone might be strong enough if you have a way to get it to vibrate steadily for a bit.

I have a wand massager that I used when I was dealing with my chronic back pain due to a herniated disc so I might use that as I mostly use it when I get leg cramps or my neck is sore from sleeping in a weird way. I guess today after work I am going to try to use it to see if it helps.

Well, next Tuesday is New Story Day, so I'm proofreading the new story for its first editing sweep. It's going to be a return to [redacted], and seeing what happens next to [redacted] after the previous events. I think you're all going to love it.

Today and tomorrow are writing days. I have to cook dinner in a little bit, and I haven't even managed to drag ONE chapter out of my brain and put it on the screen yet. This story I'm writing is trying to stay in my head; I've had to drag every chapter out and beat it unconscious with a hammer before it consented to being put to the page. I only need 4 more chapters. If I can only get the story to cooperate and allow itself to be written, then I'll be done with it and I can pick one of the other stories in my sticky note farm to write. Like this one! (picks up a sticky note and reads it):

That looks like a GREAT story. I wanna write THAT story. But first I need THIS story to get done dragging its paws and GET OUT HERE.

Got a lot going on today. I gotta write at least one chapter of my current story, I want to make my family some rice pudding as a special treat, and it's my turn to make dinner tonight, so I also have to do that. It's gonna be lasagna, but I'm going to make a pull-apart garlic bread to go with it.

Had to talk to my psychiatrist today as he wanted an update on me and see how I was doing with my medication to make sure I was alright. It only took about 15 minutes and he asked some questions which were easy to answer and he sent my script over to the pharmacy.

Well, besides trying to log in, I'm rescuing ladybugs. A sign of Spring in our house is the emergence of a bunch of these little round red-and-spotted insects in the house. They're small, clean, and like having tiny jewels crawling around. Mom used to police them up in a tissue and release them outside unharmed. I admit to having a soft spot in my heart for them, too - they're pretty and unobtrusive - so I have inherited her same gentle compassion for them.

Enjoying the temperature starting to go up a few degrees after the cold Winter we had which made everybody miserably because we got pounded with a ton of snow and I think everybody in the state of Rhode Island is over that. Just looking forward to the nicer weather coming our way soon.
