Sorrow: My 94-year old (maternal) grandaunt has fallen in her home and is in the hospital and also has pneumonia and a UTI. The same exact things my (paternal) grandmother had which lead to her death but she also broke both of her hips.

Sorrow: Went to visit said grandaunt in the hospital and she is looking weak and frail so that is something else I am worried about. Also I found out when she fell she was on the floor all night.

Freezing: day 2 with no power and they're saying it won't be back until tomorrow night. With no heating in my house it keeps getting colder.

Annoyance: We ended up losing power due to a massive windstorm that we had which knocked down trees a few roads ahead of us and initially we were going to get it back Wednesday at 2 AM. They managed to get it back on by 5 but now our microwave (one of those over the oven ones) isn't working and the last time this happened, it was off for nearly a year and we still have our old one set up for just this scenario so God knows how long it will be before it turns on again THIS time. -.-

Dread: After having 4 days off from work but one day was me talking to my psychiatrist and the other day was dealing with no power for a few hours, I'm going to go to work for THREE days in a row. I am honestly not ready for that but I figured out once I am actually THERE and not anticipating it, its usually not that bad.

Fear: I am beginning to get a bit stuffy again after what I went through a few weeks ago and worry I might be getting sick again. It was bad enough the first time so I REALLY don't want to deal with it again.

joy: Turns out it was a false alarm about me thinking I was getting sick again as I wasn't and was just a bit stuffy. It went away when I got up and didn't bother me at work and still isn't bothering me so that is awesome.

Hi, Fox "and Friends" - the Dentists were too busy to see me Friday so I'll have to wait until 0950 Monday. Ah, well, lotta other folks got it a lot worse ... eh?

Nervousness: I looked up the weather recently to see if it was going to start to warm up. I just found out that we might end up getting snow again now that the snow we had on the ground has finally melted and managed to convince myself we wouldn't have to deal with anymore snow this year and seeing the weather report just made me overly paranoid.

I just got in from walking the dogs. Bosun and Skipper are both skipperkee, jet black in color, they look a lot like foxes. There was just the tiniest amount of snow coming down, speckling their coat with little white flakes. Very decorative. I,too, am kinda snowed out, but with no wind and barely cold enough for snow, the walk was quite lovely and calming.

... and I could sure use a little calming after these last weeks.

Sorrow: Woke up feeling a bit nauseous and bloated and I am still trying to get the nausea under control. It's even WORSE for me since I have to go to work today and I want to feel 100%.

Sorrow: Last Friday, I broke a crown, an upper tooth off to the side of the front. The root is pretty much wrecked but I have several options, all prolonged and expensive. I haven't decided yet, and I'm starting to think "what if I just left it gone and did nothing?" At my age and my stage, how much longer have I got to use my head before my brain quits anyways?"

Joy - Dee, my wife's sister, spent a couple of days in the hospital after her legs and hips became virtually immobilized by pain. Apparently it was dehydration combined with a medical reaction to a new pharma she's started taking for blood cancer (a discovery they made just a few months ago).
She's out now, doing well and, as we geezers say "I'm fine until I'm not."

No, Is. You're just trying to make some kind of sense out of the world around you and it's emotionally exhausting. You need some time with animals, friend ("Look to the animals. They'll teach you", Book of Job). And maybe some ice cream.
