Tell me about it. My supplimentary health insurance is scheduled to go up by 33% ($1, 800.00) a year. Sigh.
Of course, now that eggs are less affordable and I have less money to buy them, I'll eat fewer and my cholestorol will drop, thereby reducing my chance of heart disease.

Oh, thank you, Fearless Leaders! ;)

Indeed everybody does need one at some point and the length of it will vary depending on how long somebody has been doing something. This is where patience is a virtue though not a lot of people can get that sadly.

I think needing patience to get some patience is a bit of a paradox or something because I can't see it ever ending. It is something that you have to learn yourself and can't be granted instantly.

The missus and I hit the road for Laurinburg NC tomorrow. I don't expect, between activities and exhaustion, to be communicating much until we return to New England around October 7th.

I'm going to be semi-absent next week as I enjoy my Halloween festivities. I'll still be posting the daily chapters and probably checking the forum on my phone, but for the most part I'll be taking a break and enjoying cheesy B-movie thrillers and creature features.

I hope that we do get to see more of Allen and how he deals with the mess he caused in the story. Though I am kind of hoping that he and Six get into a fight and stumble into a mud pit or something. XD

We're home. Looooong drive down and a long drive back, pretty draining at our ages and stages. Today, the missus goes in for a rotuine medical procedure, but it's one that's pretty low on the entertainment scale. Went down for the funeral of an old friend and former priest. Jane had a pretty good turn out for rural community wheere she'd been retired for over a decade. Now, Saturday, another funeral ...

Saw a lot of old friends, all a lot older ... the local college finally closed and no final paychecks for faculty, staff, and maintenance ... more quick serves and houses falling into delapidation ... our home where we lived for a quarter of a century looks good, though. Life in these here States United.

Thanks, friends. It was a good visit but a lotta, lotta driving.

Back in Driver's Ed class at dear old Portsmouth High School, Mr. Day used to have his "Rules of the Road". One that stayed with me was, I think, number 52 (he liked to list things) - "Always remember when driving, that ten percent of the drivers sharing the road with you are drugged, drunk, or deranged."

Well, sixty-seven years later - that number is enormously higher!! ;) :( :o :?

The deranged part is very apt especially if you live anywhere near Massachusetts because people there tend to not care about safe driving. There is a reason why they came up with a term for them if you see them and have the unfortunate pleasure of sharing the road with them. LOL

We had several close calls driving home - all on Route 95 and most of them, I'm sorry to say, in Massachusetts. North Carolina is pretty bad, too. Lots of people driving with revoked licenses in both states.

With more cops pulling over more speeders, I think we could quickly put many state budgets in the "green" and make to highways a lot safer. :)

Just figured I would put this here now before I forgot. On Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving and then the day after that I won't be around. The Thursday is because it is Thanksgiving, the Friday is because we are going to Vermont for my grandmother's funeral and the Saturday is because we are driving back and it takes 4 hours to get back home from there so you won't see me and I won't be posting,

Travel safely, Amazz. Again, my condolences on the loss of your Grandmother.

I, too, will be taking to the road, starting tomorrow (and it's now snowing out). We're driving to Ithaca, New York, and then to my youngest daughter's cabin on the finger lakes. My son and his missus are coming in from LA. We'll be back around the 3rd/4th of December, maybe sooner.

So, might not be on-line too much. Happy Give-thanksing, ever'body!! :D

Safe travels, everybody! I won't be posting on Thursday, as it will be thanksgiving, but there will be a double upload on Friday so it doesn't throw off my chapter count.

You missed the site being down starting from Thanksgiving until I got back on Sunday after my grandmother's memorial in Vermont which was really nice. As for the forum being down, I think I should just confess about what happened there. Because I didn't want to miss anything while I was away I took a fuse with me which is what caused the forum to crash. I just put it back now so that is why it came back.

Don't have a lot of time on my hands, but at least I would try and work on... Something, especially since it's a showstopper of sorts as with Gozyuger being the last Super Sentai before Project RED takes the place of that series to go with Kamen Rider instead starting next year.

It doesn't matter if you don't have as much time as you want to be able to make a showstopper for your work to dazzle us with! Just as long as you can put something together and you are happy with it we all will be delighted and impressed with what you have come up with! :)

So it's been a few days since we returned from Interlaken and, except for a could of burned out bulbs, nothing in the house has exploded in our absence. Nice to have one of our better travels end with one of our best returns.

...I'm sorry. Apparently the Big Man Upstairs must have altered the youtube algorithm to let me know that Earth's own Heckraiser Saga is just getting started.

No joke, this is actually Biblical Levels of Infernals doing everything in their power to corrupt and doom as many people as they can before hell's forces are rightfully dealt their final defeat at the hands the Big J-Man himself. This is not a drill, repeat, not a drill and all according to revelations.

As for me? I just can't drag you guys into this as you're already having to deal with internals on your end.

And all the while, Satan, his princess of darkness Charlie and the series' right hand furry Eudoant are all making their last ditch effort to cause as much chaos, destruction, mayhem, pain, and heresy since they literally got nothing to lose.

Make sure to stay on your guard and do everything you can to resist those useful idiots of their's as they will do everything in their power to increase these cretins' Infernal influence on your fellow man and make sure you stand your ground yourself.

Say what you will about religion Rick Griffin, at least you actually know how dangerous the forces of hell truly are. And no wonder why God calls you a credit to your kind, and Vivziepop a Talentless Heretic. (God's words, not mine. I was praying like I usually do every so frequently.)

Anyways, this just straight out revelations levels of evils in regards to how they are moving in to destroy everything. And unlike the origin story of my Housepets Fanworks regarding the final battle resulting in existence being destroyed and recreated by the big man himself with a few technological advantages in regards to such improvements in his recreation of existence in my fanworks, this isn't housepets proper and the general details regarding reality's own Heckraiser saga that will be ongoing until the final curtain, there is truly no way to get around this final call of battle.

But with a dreadful amount of time I have which I would not likely survive the eventual clusterslosh, I'll see if I can try and make these final curtain call worth the time I have left before they try and find me and my family when the order is cast to get everyone and everything they can.

(Sorry for such a post but this really is what I'm truly thinking since the new year literally just began. Also apologizing for the irreverence regarding the enemy being associated with fictitious characters related to the devil himself but I know for a fact propaganda is one of the many ways the decever deceives in regards to his daughter being counted along with a certain embodiment of evil that needs no introduction to anyone here.)

I hate that you feel like that and wish that there was something I could do to help out in regards to your feelings but I'm not sure there is anything I can say that would do any good. The only thing I can tell you after reading that is that anything that happens is a part of God's plan.

People have been forecasting the end of the world since the beginning of the world. In my own lifetime, I've seen many, many self-anointed seers point to assorted events, trends, and disasters to say "Here it comes - Apocalypse Now!!!" aaaaand ... nope. Sadly, I've seen many people taken in by those passionate proclamations, get rid of all their worldly goods, and be left indigent and looking confused and humiliated when THE DAY passes and life goes on. A person I know delights whenever someone goes on about 'the Rapture" to reply - "Actually, the Rapture already happened and - guess what - YOU got "left behind." I don't go in for such mockery, but the cynicism has some grounding.

Every President I've ever lived under has been somebody's "Satan". You can pretty much pick a year in world history and there you'll find some where fires, floods, famines, plagues, war, corruption, and lots of people doing extremely naughty acts.

What I can say is that, if and however the world will "end", YOU will! That is a fact. At my age and my stage, these things become ever clearer. So, in your time remaining, love mercy, do justice, and walk humbly with God. And find enjoyments in your life where you can because, as Pogo Possum remarked, "Life's a cooperative venture, we're all in it together, and nobody gonna get out of it alive."

If the Mods think this entry is offensive, delete it with my blessing. I have no further comment on this topic. Happy New Years to all.
