You HAVE to try out Aion, from NCSoft. Its so much better than their earlier stuff (not that their earlier stuff was bad), and it blows WoW out of the water.

I'd love to try Aion but don't you need a beta key or whatever to try a trial?

I've actually been playing a lot of Tom Clancy games lately. I wanted to replay some of the Splinter Cell games (never before or since have I found a more immersive game), and I've also been playing a lot of HAWX. It's an extremely fun game if, you know, you like planes. and stuff.

My friends seems to be calling me to WoW..."JOIN OUR SERVER MAN AND WE WILL MAKE YOUR LVL 1 INTO A SUPER POWERFUL TWINK!"
how can I not resist...everyday they tell me this. :x

So now I need someone to tell me what to play, and to stop this urge from coming back.

Twinks ruined any fun players might have had in BGs while levelling up. I'm glad Blizzard decided to kill them.

Well, first off, 'twink' is a slang for something very dirty that you shouldn't repeat in front of nuns or old ladies.

As far as WoW is concerned, though, it's basically getting a character to the highest level in a battleground bracket (19 for 10-19, 29 for 20-29, etc) and decking them out with all of the best gear available for the level as well as the best vanilla enchantments which had no required item level. Basically, you make your character far far more powerful than it really has any right being for its level.

You then go into battlegrounds and faceroll to utterly destroy everyone else (who just want to have fun while levelling up) in one or two hits. Twinks always defended themselves by saying that they 'did it to fight other twinks' but that's a bunch of bull ****, they did it because effortlessly winning made their epeen nice and big.

Stop now.
Think about puppies.
And flamethrowers.
Now put two and two together.
If you like it, that's what'll happen if you don't play. If you don't, that's what'll happen if you do. JUST THINK ABOUT BURNING PUPPIES.

(Yay twinks. Twinks n bears. But I know you were talking about WoW and not THAT. I've also found the vast majority also didn't know what lolita other interesting words are, but then, that doesn't have to do with gay guys.)

I guess that's some sort of forum in-joke I'm not privy to or something. I meant the game.

MMOs aren't really all bad, I mean they have a social aspect that all other genres of games lack. That's probably why they're so addicting.

WoW is just a ridiculous grindathon though. Grinding so you can grind so you can grind so you can grind. Game never ever changes, either. It doesn't matter if you go from raiding Naxx to raiding Ulduar, it's all the same ****, and all of the bosses have gimmicks that amount to 'don't stand in the fire'.

Except sometimes some bosses are like 'don't stand in the fire except when this happens then you DO stand in the fire. oh god the strategy involved HURTS MY BRAINMEATS'

I plan to totally play as the gambler guy in the suit. That guy is way past cool.

Also: CHOCOLATE HELICOPTER

Also also: somewhat related is this. I got a great laugh out of it. It's rated for the same things as the video above though.

I am eagerly anticipating L4D2.

Ellis is my favorite. He's got that southern accent that I've heard oh so much, which makes him the most familiar to me, "That's ma 'fficial instructions." He also reminds me a lot of one of my distant relatives I saw at the reunion who was pretty cool. He dresses like him and has a similar face too. Nick is probably my 2nd favorite followed by Coach. I just don't like Rochelle, she can't replace Zoey! No one can.

But why the heck is Ellis always the one getting attacked by specials in this vid?

I call Coach. >_>

on a side note, anyone playing Dungeon Fighters Online? An interesting game i've been playing along with WoW. I'm a level 20 Priest.

The game is a shot back at the classic arcade beat'em up games like Double Dragon, but RPG style.

I suggest you play it with me when you can. :O

I sort of miss FFXI, which I played before WoW. It and all of its expansions are only like $20 which is like $5 per game. I would totally go back if FFXIV wasn't just around the corner.

I stopped playing it a month ago, playing Champions Online instead.
I am thinking to go back to playing WoW,

Also, I have the l4d 2 pre-release demo, and for just 2 levels, I am having a lot of fun.

All I can respond to that is with the fact that I have a Cockatiel named Merlin. She's a semi-tame, tile-eating, dog-acting bird.

Also, on Nov. 3rd, it's pub demo time, and I'll be playing.

my gamelist is quite big, but if I had to point out some really good titles:

God of War series
Ratchet & Clank series
Drakengard 1-2

I'm waiting for WoW: Cataclysm and will try Champions online sometime in the near future.
