Then look at the first page again.
Do you notice it now?

TAROT HAS BEEN MISCOLORED ALL THIS TIME and if Rick hadn't added a note about it to the Omnibus I would never ever have noticed.

I know that I wouldn't have figured it out either because stuff like that does go way over my head as I am practically oblivious to things that are subtle. I am also guessing at first Rick didn't WANT anybody to point it out and hoped that he could get away with people not paying that close attention and just enjoying the Peanut/Tarot and Grape/Max ships but now decided after all this time to point it out.

Now I am definitely interested about that and would like for it to one day be revealed. Since I know I will never get the book and pretty sure nobody else in my family reads or has any ideas about the comic.

Well, you see... King was originally supposed to end up with Fox, but Rick was worried at the time that the readers wouldn't react well, so he said he "wasn't comfortable" doing that at the time. He also wanted to bring back Bailey, so he had King end up with her instead. He does not regret the decision.

That does explain a lot and it seems that Rick might be rectifying that decision in the coming reboot of the comic after he recovers from his burn out. Even though I won't be a fan of that direction I think I can understand it a bit more now and I believe that if it did happen back then we would have had our first bisexual character.
