Sorrow: Felt rather burnt out in regards to video games. I don't know how nor why but I still feel rather burnt out in regards to... well... Everything. I don't know how long I can hold on but I don't know if the passion could still be there, especially since I have a fast connection but there's nothing good on anymore in addition to even SEGA themselves joining the digital subscription bandwagon.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Annoyance: Trying to plan a family get-together with my mother, aunts and cousins and we can't pick a day because everybody is working during the week and it's hard to find time for it. Not to mention I am 97% sure that whatever day we choose will be a day they make me work and say its too late to take off.
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Choreographing travel gatherings is enought to make your head explode into ten thousand colorful and interesting pieces. Putting this trip together took almost as long as we will eventually be together. Paul is a zoom lawyer but Ruth and Paul's wife, Helen, are educational administrators who are tied to the school system. What people do NOT understand is that, just because the little darlings have vacation, administrators are not totally free (nor are teacher's, by the way). They have what they call "loose time" which is time for chores where (1) you gotta work in the office and (2) while you can choose when to come in, you BETTER HAVE THIS STUFF DONE before the precious elvins return to their dungeons after New Years. Eleanor works for the Humane Society and Christmas is a busy time (all those puppy and Kitten stocking-stuffers). For geezers, it's often rescheduling that sinus inspection appointment that you got during this time because the next available appointment was early March but then you, silly old senior, wanted to travel for the holiday.
You have my sympathies, Amazz.

Joy: Finally managed to pick a day at least that is what it looks like and if they ask me to come in, I am just gonna call out sick and say that I can't come in because I can't stop coughing or my nose won't stop running.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
I started a new audiobook while I was playing some Minecraft (A Dragon's Guide to the Care and Feeding of Humans) and the first chapter started out with a vivid description of preferring to finish grieving one pet before getting another but not getting the chance.
So that was a lovely surprise punch to the gut.

Delight: Got inspired by the Amazing Digital Circus. Now I'm looking forward to working on my housepets fanfics at some point. Hopefully I'll be able to pull it off, especially with King being a mix of Caine, a SYStem OPerator and a Mascot with Attitude (last part being being how King is able to get himself psyched and all that comes with it.)
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Headin' home today but didn't make it home. Got grounded in Baltimore. Oh, well, that's why God invented next time. Cheers and light flurries, all!
Re: Joys And Sorrows
... and ... today ... we're home. And on the missus's Birthday besides!!
Re: Joys And Sorrows
happy birthday to the missus!

Despair: Still having problems with medication. I will need actual help instead of the pills being pushed to everyone as a easy fix.

Fires are subsiding in Los Angeles and our kids are fine. Sheesh! Sadly, the missus has picked up a cold, too.

My gang's still safe, even have electricity ... but this firestorm is the worst in California's history, they say. The news footage is heartbreaking.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Glad to hear that Weston, seen reports on the news over here, hard to comprehend the level of devastation, hoping the weather turns so the fire risk lessens.
