Thanks, Fox. She's doing pretty well. Lungs and sinusis are pretty good, and no serious fever or aches. Just not a lot of energy. I'm trying to navigate care-taking and avoiding exposure, don't want to catch it myself. We've had all the shots and are up-to-date there.
The skipperkees are getting visitation rights but they're a little dejected that they can't be with her all the time.

I'm writing the last chapter of Stray Dog Heights and I had to take a break because I was cry- I mean someone was chopping onions. Lots of onions. Directly in my eyes.
Yeah.
No sad endings here, no.

Wife's so much better now but still a bit off. Might need to buy a new dehumidifier - after eleven years, our old model has passed from this world. Consumer's Reports magazine gives lots and lots of complaints about the latest models ...

I appear to have caught some kind of stomach bug. My stomach hurts and I have been releasing my lunch early.

Currently hoping and praying to God that my work schedule which is now FOUR days a week instead of the THREE I usually do is only temporary. Sometimes I think everytime I take time off I get penalized and forced to work more hours to make up for it. <_<

Because I'm getting stir crazy and I feel like I'm life support to my biological mother.
That, and I feel like I have nothing to live for.

Getting ready to go to work on a Sunday which I don't usually do at all and hate that I am losing my entire weekend. Only consolation is that at leasts its just 4 hours.

I would argue that having to go in and lose your whole weekend for a shift you wouldn't normally take, youvwould want a longer shift so you at least get more pay from it.

Rather psyched about Rivals of Aether. Should I be able to pull it off, I may implement the world of Housepets into the game through Steam Workshop. Of course Karishad wouldn't be in the game as I have my own equivalent, and should voice acting get into the mix...
...Much like spongebob's constant laughter, King's constant Ai-Yahs and Hi-Yahs would drive people nuts, including those who at least dabbled in Tokusatsu, especially during the time where the fancasted Voice Actor was still alive.
(We get it, Tokusatsu is burned into your head Hiraoka.)
But at least I can get started as soon as I buy the game and get a firm grasp on said game.

Watching the closing ceremonies for the Olympics on NBC ... but not very closely. They're having problems with the sound, the lighting is often too dark, and the commentary kinda sappy. Sad, really, because the French are trying hard to be creative and energetic. Maybe better we go out for ice cream.

Waiting patiently for my ear infection to subside and the fluid behind my ear to drain. I am on day 12.

Well I think the ear infection itself has gone away and the pharmacy FINALLY sent me my second antibiotics and I don't feel any ear pain.
HOWEVER I still have muffled hearing in my right ear so today I am trying to get it to subside.

Going to write some more. Since various sites are getting hijacked because of out of date security measures, I decided to write some to pass the time.

Actually, I just got a warning on MSNbing that FurAffinity is dealing with a bunch of phishing attacks, so staying out of there for a while might be prudent anyways!

Hoping to crank out the last couple chapters of Wildside Haven today. Got 4-5 more to finish the story that I want to tell, and the hardest chapters got written yesterday, so I'm hoping I can knock it out.

Re: What Are You Doing Today?
I was waiting for a subscription that I bought and paid for earlier today to come through as I thought it said that it will take up to 12 hours for it to be processed and then I will get a password sent to me. Turns out I read it wrong and it will take 24 hours instead. So off to bed I go...
Re: What Are You Doing Today?
Getting our church ready for a big funeral on Thursday. Saying Godspeed to a clergyman who presided here for a tumultuous decade and was very active in many causes. I only knew the gentleman from occasional visits, being resident at that time in North Carolina, but the folks who knew him supported him well. His missus, who was an ordained deacon here, had her funeral here two years before.
Stupid back still hurts, though. Old age, it's not for sissies.

Re: What Are You Doing Today?
Today, I'm doing a little writing while keeping an eye on my parents' new dog. I have to keep her separate from our other dog unless I'm actively supervising because they play a little rough and we don't want them to hurt each other while getting to know one another.

About to call my boss to see if I can switch with somebody for the 7th so I can go out for my birthday.
Re: What Are You Doing Today?
Our credit card got hacked so we're going through the process of cancelling the card, deleting the bogus entries, and awaiting a new card. This will be the second time this year we've had to do this. sigh.

Going to talk to my boss and a coworker about switching out the 7th with said coworker so I can go out to eat for my birthday even though it is 2 days after my birthday.
Re: What Are You Doing Today?
Wuhl, very good luck with that, Amazz, and pre-Happy Birthday site happy birthday to yahs and many more of `em.

I was able to sort it out and because the co-worker that wanted to switch with me needed all the hours he can get it means I don't have to switch with him and can just give him my day. So I will be working only 2 days my birth week! Yay me!
Re: What Are You Doing Today?
Me and the missus are taking a trolley ride this morning around the Seacoast area. Just a little lark for Labor Day.

Hoping that Dayzee had a good time with her family overall. Especially since her boss was reasonable enough to give her some time off to spend with family.

I did have a nice time yesterday and my stomach didn't bother me so I assume that it was from the dairy that I consumed that made me briefly stopped up.
Now I am enjoying my Sunday since I don't go back to work until Thursday. :3

We have two really hot days coming up before the summer ends but of course I am working on those days. I have only been to the beach once and that was at the Cape but I like the beaches that have huge waves.
