If I was I would imagine it would have something to do with me being able to go to the bathroom. Funnily enough I DID think I was for a while but it turns out I wasn't. I only just read about how dairy can cause an inflammatory response.

Finally got my taxes done. Now I'll need a day to dispose of all the paperwork lying around from the drafts.

Sorrow: More of the keys on my laptop is starting to come loose and stop working unless I press into them HARD.
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Beautiful day today, but a weary one - little bit of everything, not much of anything. Just a bit draggy, I guess.

We all have days like that.
Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, “I did not laugh.” But [The LORD] said, “Yes, you did laugh.” - Genesis 18:15 (NIV).

But the days will get better! At least, I hope they get better, for both of us.

Sorrow: After 10+ years of service, my faithful old printer finally gave up the ghost. Time to start researching to figure out a good replacement.

Sorrow: I don't think I can take melatonin anymore to help me sleep because within 30 minutes of getting up I had to lay down again. Meaning my day wouldn't have been very productive.

Hlaoroo, I hope you get a good printer soon. Dayzee, I hope you feel better soon, remember to not be too harsh on yourself. Snowykat, at least you got a passing grade and won’t have to redo it.
My sorrow: I lost my $15 stylus and my neighborhood store doesn’t sell any.

Sorrow: Since we have a health inspector coming in the near future, we are gonna have to give the seafood section we work in a REALLY deep clean and make it thorough which I honestly HATE the idea of doing.

Joy: Got a new printer. Setting it up as we speak!
Sorrow: Cut my finger open on a rusty nail at work yesterday and needed 3 stitches in it. Owie.
Joy: Luckily I'm up to date with tetanus and by chance there was a nurse nearby when it happened who was able to give me first aid so I could drive to the doctor.

Well, Amazz, your customers may never know it, but they should be more than grateful that you did it.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:56 pm Sorrow: Since we have a health inspector coming in the near future, we are gonna have to give the seafood section we work in a REALLY deep clean and make it thorough which I honestly HATE the idea of doing.

Joy: The health inspector came yesterday before my shift so I don't have to deal with cleaning in the future!
Sorrow: Today I have to work a 2 to 8 shift which I am not looking forward to.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Back in the 70s when I worked in a fast-food joint to support my graduate studies, I hated the 2-8 shift, too. Not sure why, but I actually preferred the five PM to 2 AM (plus closing hour to 3 AM).Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 12:15 pm Joy: The health inspector came yesterday before my shift so I don't have to deal with cleaning in the future!

Joy: I made it all the way through my 6 hour shift today and don't have to worry about a shift like that for next week!
Confusion/Sorrow: Apparently according to my boss the inspector DIDN'T come yesterday or she came back and she FAILED the department because the shelves in the cooler weren't clean enough so I had to go and scrub those down again. UGH.

Joy: I managed to get my prescription pills a lot faster than the 30 minutes they said when I went to CVS because they didn't have my script ready so I wasn't waiting as long as I thought I would be.
Sorrow: We are gonna get a snowstorm tomorrow and I have work. That will be fun. Especially driving in it.

Sorrow: Gonna take much of the day to shovel out the driveway tomorrow. Even in "fluff conditions", I have to shovel 15-minutes on - 15 minutes off. This stuff, however, is wet, thicc, "cardiac snow".
Joy: My brother always said it snows on his birthday and ... since today is his birthday ... thanks fer giving yer older brother tomorrow off.

Joy: It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be driving home from work tonight!
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Joy: So, expecting a hellacious mess in our driveway, I slept in this morning (i.e. got up at 8:00am instead of 7:00am). Well, to my shock and delight, my cross-the-street neighbor had snuk over and snowblowered the whole drive way! Thanj you, sir!
He's kind of a funny guy. His kids fell in love with Sophie when we first returned to the house (after fifty-five years) and used to accompany me sometimes on her walks. When we finally met, he was a little stand-offish but - once again - his wife and his golden retriever just adored Sophie.
So, every now and then, after a snow storm, he'll sneak over and clean my driveway.....which I and my back so very much appreciate.
His youngest daughter brough us a couple of Iris after Sophie died. They took root on one side of the house. Hope they come back again this Spring.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Sorrow: Got up early this morning to take the ol'Camry (2004) in to the shop because the "MANTRQRD" light's been shinning like it's Christmas for a week.
Joy: After fifteen minutes, the boss comes out, tells me it's a computer glitch, no mechanical problem and light recalibrated ... and no charge plus a free coffee.
So ... okay ... I can live with that.
