Since Kit has a flair for the Theatrics, I predict he either shows up out-sizing Steward or cutting him down to size. Or, he summons a 'Champion' (a certain mana-induced somebody, perhaps?) to take him down once and for all.

My guess before this page was that Steward is a big dummy and forgot to put a roof on top of his barrier. I’d imagined them launching Marion over the barrier with a super powerful squirrel-launcher (the kind you see in those YouTube videos) and him surviving thanks to how squirrels can land safely even at terminal velocity, but this works too, especially because it gives us the best panel of Marion yet. I love his pose and expression.

Well, it seems Steward wasn’t as prepared as he thought, also that was a narrow escape for Kitsune. Res would be an interesting twist, to the battle, a (kinda) comic twist to it is that more pets are recruited from heaven, including Max and Peanut, but not Grape, after the battle is over and they return to heaven, or however Rick decides to end the arc, Grape learns that she missed out on Res in weretiger form. .

There's Marion, very good job with that high visibility for Great Kitsune.

That has been a big error, demon Steward, you had to include the tallest part of the city in your anti-demigods shield.

Yeah, Kix, he has to do important stuff, you always need patience with him.

Marion certainly seems to be having an "I enjoy being a squirrel" moment to match Lois' "I enjoy being a lynx" moment the other day.

I wonder if Marion's (human form) nut allergy is going to come into play somehow, just seems like one of those things Rick mentions in passing and then ignores without resolving at the time. AFAWK, he hasn't tried a nut to see if he is still allergic in squirrel form.
