Why do I expect buckets of weirdness to come our way?

If he brought all of Babylon Gardens to Heaven, it'd just be a retread of that Hot Spring Arc.

I think he saying you’ll need a new guise
or you’re going to blow a fair few minds.
Say what you like about Great Kitsune;
he knows when to draw some of the big blinds.
So the mighty one is visiting us?
I wonder what he’ll think of the old place?
Will he marvel at what free will has done
or will he find it quite a big disgrace?
Or is he saying we should all head up,
into the fields of honey and great love?
Where all our fears are never found in vogue
and we’d prefer to stay, push came to shove

I, for one, cannot wait to see where Rick is going with this. <3

Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
People talk about the quarantine aspect of this page, but I for one am more intrigued by the fact that this is Kitsune's "first time without a safety net". I wonder what other worlds/timelines Kitsune has inadvertently bungled up so badly that there had to be massive Celestial interference; perhaps the rescission of the whole timeline?

"Few weeks of paradise" <- Well, at least we know how long the arc will last Never thought I say this, but GK has a point; One wonders what will happen after their paradise vacation is over. Same time, +10 for the title referencing a great (late) Eddie Money song!

Couldn't the Celestials simply make people forget the "vacation" if something like that were to happen? Fox was up there for six months or something and he could barely remeber what happened.

Bahamut letting everyone experience True Level.
Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
Aw thanks, GK. Don't let us have any fun. When this is over, you can use your great cosmic celestial powers to figure out which landfill your statue got buried in. Maybe Eudoant will get it as a snark prize.

Oh, so Keene's "visit" to paradise is just the kind of thing Bahamut does

This might be a scenario King might not be badly bothered with. Although there's going to be that inevitable incredibly awkward moment for him where the pups meet their grandmother.
Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
Bahamut's actually a pretty forgiving sort of deity ... that said, scamp that he is, GK may have pretty well punched out his ticket book.Zack_the_husky wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:01 amI think he's called King that too? Its just sort of a great Bahamut thing, ya know?

Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
Good that you want to help Great Kitsune, Bahamut. He's alone now, indeed, and it's also the first time that'll have to face the big trouble of demons on earth, because of Keene's unaware deal and then because of Steward's wanted deal... Ah, so the quarantine request done to Cerberus is for the mortals on earth around Pete's temple, and she can do it, better than Bahamus' plan. This according to you, Great Kitsune... Well, actually, if he practically means kill them all by sending them on Heaven, and successively respawn them on earth, with all the eventual difficulties... I agree with your choice, Great Kitsune: his plan is insane!
Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
I'm still trying to work out the relationship between Kitsune and Bahamut. In the last comic I was thinking they were father and son. The whole exchange seemed to be more like a father catching a misbehaving teenage son than a sovereign/subject dynamic.
On the other hand, he called Kitsune "Beloved," which he also called King. He probably calls everyone that, but it seems like he would have a different name exclusive to his children.

Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
Seems like that might be the case. Personally, I'm excited to see what unending bliss means for the various characters. I'm also curious as to what exactly displacement means. Is the entire current populace of River Ridge whisked away to a pocket dimension of Heaven that's exactly like River Ridge, while everyone except Eudoant, Dino Demon, and maybe Steward are still down in the regular version and nobody else is there?
Or is this a situation where the entirety of River Ridge, demons and all, is gonna be put in a pocket dimension, and in the real world all of time is stopped until the problem is solved so that when things go back, everything resumes "normally"?
My bet is on the latter.
With the right community, getting into a webcomic at the beginning of a brand new arc can feel just as enjoyable and rewarding as being there from the beginning.
Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
My guess is that Bahamut is just “fatherly.”dwmitch wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 3:09 pm I'm still trying to work out the relationship between Kitsune and Bahamut. So since this will be Kitsune's first time doing things without any specific safeguards I guess he really was good at his job because despite the fact that he likes to joke around he never let things get this far.

I don't think its about him missing or ignoring it. I think its about him not taking it seriously and now it looks like things WILL get bad.

While Fox doesn’t remember heaven time, King does, Keene does and Breel does, and they seem fine on earth after experiencing “the unendlessly bliss of paradise”, so I’d say u are overthinking it Kitsune; c’mon GK! let us see everyone’s infinite tsukuyomi!!

Well, his Kid persona only has one tail. The nerds might notice more than one. I noted that Lester wasn't in that game that Kitsune had to abandon. He might have just been off panel, but if the last game he did with the new kid lasted thousands of years and resulted in his defeat, then he might just be wary of a new one.Welsh Halfwit wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 3:47 pmWell, his Kid persona only has one tail. I would figure after how brutally Kitsune ended up trouncing him and all of the things he showed him that Lester would take one look at Kitsune and run screaming off into the night rather than do another session with him.
Re: 2020/11/13 - Two (Thousand) Tickets To Paradise
Like Bino, Lester's obsessive, narcissistic, a glutton for punishment, and possesses a truly jaw-dropping capacity to NOT learn from his mistakes.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:32 pm I would figure after how brutally Kitsune ended up trouncing him and all of the things he showed him that Lester would take one look at Kitsune and run screaming off into the night rather than do another session with him.

Yes that is true but a mental beatdown which might lead to a nervous breakdown is HARDER to recover from.
