I'm sure that probably amazes people a lot. Even more than how much food Mirage can eat and not feel full.
Re: Art Thread
Everyone's limits are different. *shrug*
Just walking down the street, suddenly a blue otter swimming in the air comes up beside you.

Me: "What was in that cinnamon bun that I scarfed down earlier?"
Re: Art Thread
Wonderful creatures, otters. We had a family of them in a stream behind our house. Some locals trapped them and moved them elsewhere because they though they were killing all the trout. The Game wardens were not pleased even though they trapped them humanely. I was ten at the time - they were a lot of fun to watch but you had to be reeeeeeally careful not to startle them.
Re: Art Thread
That sounds adorable!
Re: Art Thread
I sometimes think baby animals are cute so humans will protect them - sort of like camoflage, a "defense mechanism".
Re: Art Thread
While cleaning up my room a few weeks ago, came across a sketch of daggers that I never bothered to scan previously. I'm sure that these sketches are a few years old by now, but decided to go ahead and finish them up. I'm not sure if these were scrapped designs for a game I'm helping with or random doodles, but the fact that these designs were only in a corner of a full page, probably work doodles when I was bored.

Re: Art Thread
Even if they are very old from a few years ago I do really like the designs!
Re: Art Thread
Thanks!
Got another "morpher." The Badge of Darkness, used by the Putty Patrollers to become evil versions of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Used in only one episode, where they were destroyed.

Once again very wonderful job on this! Hope to see more from you again!

Thanks. I don't see myself making any more morphers, though.

I will be happy looking at whatever artwork you end up posting on the board! ^^
Re: Art Thread
Drew up a Natukat based on the fruit I drew up a while ago. After I posted this on Discord, found that I wasn't happy with the way the lower body looked, but this was meant to be a quickie. Maybe next time I'll take breaks between phases of completion.

Re: Art Thread
Its abs for some reason remind me of some sort of berry on a bush.
Re: Art Thread
Natukats have a scaly belly. I'm just still figuring them out.
Re: Art Thread
The anklewear is unusual, too ... or is that part of the creature's coloration? Very vivid!

Re: Art Thread
Think that is part of the berry that Rocky designed.
Re: Art Thread
Natukats have some traits that are common among all of them, like those "ankle pieces" but each one is detailed based on the fruits they're pollinated from. Chaoko had a whole gallery of different variants here. And as Dayzee said, this one is based on the pattern of the "Celestial Fruit" I posted earlier.

Re: Art Thread
Like I said before, I think it came out nice even if I wanna pick its abs because they look like berries on a bush.
Re: Art Thread
Despite being a demi-god, Caleb still has to deal with his chosen form's regular antler shedding. Almost as soon as they fall off, his antlers lose their vibrancy. Not really painful for him, but leaves a bit of a mess, and he never truly feels right without his antlers. He's also careful not to let this happen in mortal realms. Celestial blood can be harmful to mortals.
Not properly shown here, but I'm going with the idea that Celestial blood is golden in color. Going with a Greek concept I read about. Apparently the Greek gods were said to have a golden blood which was toxic to humans.

I really do love how you managed to draw him here! This came out really awesome!

She looks like someone just ****** her off and she is ready to tear that person a new one.
It's probably Sickle. XD

In this case, she's just battle-ready.
In any case, here's Macabre.

Better not make any sudden moves or he'll bludgeon you with his violin.
Re: Art Thread
Finally got around to a weapon set for Sickle.
Nature’s Reclamation – A mortal-made wrist attachment. Apparently belonged to some nature cult. Nothing truly came of the group.
First Draft – A sharp blade attached to a metal wristband of Sickle’s own design. Used this during a time when his claw was broken and needed time to heal.
Biting Wind – A jawbone with it’s outer edges sharpened. Initially used as a kama, since dismantled and repurposed by Nikolai.
Faux Streetie – Made from a switchblade that belonged to a mugger when Sickle visited a mortal realm.
Waning Moon – Created by a moon cult, and imbued with a great deal of power. Sickle was tasked with retrieving this.
Weasel Fang – Created by Sickle in an attempt to be able to level the field in fights against stronger opponents. Sees exceedingly little use, as bringing it out of his wrist is legitimately painful.
The "Biting Wind" was actually based on a weapon I made for Sickle when he was initially going to appear in the now cancelled "Adventures of Babylon" in the concept stage. I then made him have what is now "First Draft" when I decided to make him more akin to the creature that he's based off of, the kamaitachi. I would eventually reach the point of making the claw erupt from his wrist.
Natural Claw – Self-explanatory. Despite the fact that only the point appears sharp, this claw is capable of slicing through stone with ease.

Yeah I can see how that "Weasel Fang" would really do a number on him.
I know have an urge to see Sickle do battle.

Opted to remove her shoulder spikes. It's an overused feature of my characters by now.

Take your weird swimming in air otter son and RUN!
Re: Art Thread
Should she ever show her face to their family again, they'll be ready.
Macabre did not take too kindly to being attacked by her when she initially came saying that she wanted to meet her big brother, and the bridge was completely burned when she attacked Mirage and attempted to kidnap Oliver. As far as Macabre is concerned, he doesn't have a sibling.

In that case if she does come back at that I look forward to Macabre using her large intestines as a replace violin string.

I'm sure he would do something to make sure Lilith never tried to pull a stunt on his son ever again.

Lilith is a determined one. She won't give up easily, especially as they were her first loss.

I foresee a vicious cycle where Lilith comes up with new and inventive ways to try to injure her brother, sister-in-law and nephew and she keeps getting her *** handed to her.

"Watch your form, kid."
Arezzo is dryideabat's character. Been wanting to do this kind of scene for a while.
This has been a very long time coming. Mirage taking the time to teach Arezzo some moves. Though he's a bit too much of a gentle giant to make use of any of these skills. Maybe more of a confidence booster. Let's hope he can handle Mirage's lessons, though.
