These plots do sometimes end in a Pastis of another strip, true(!)Azulberry wrote:It's good to see more of spot, meaning more silly peanut! :p
We dip now into the world of Spot
and Peanut’s not taken any lessons.
His art style has remained just as constant
as it was before all Joey’s sessions.
The local paper boss asks the question
but not, I feel, the one of his dreams.
Why does the cinema charge so much
and what are its owners evil schemes?
Just ask the question already, fella,
see if endangering lives is a seller.
You need him far more than he needs you;
this’ll be a mistake you’ve not thought through.

It's not unlikely Stripe will succeed, she's done it before, but the will the status quo remain this time. Find out next week!

The cape comes with the promotion.

So that’s why Superheroes never go to movies
Re: 2020/03/13 - The Secret
Especially on Friday the Thirteenth! Eeeeek and a tip of the hat to Churchy LaFemme, the "Naturral borned Turtle" who always celebrated the sinister occasion with a cowering, high-pitched scream. RIP Walt Kelly.

Eight dollars for an adult, a hundred for a superhero? That's price gouging...!
--
(Superdog) in disguise as Spot,
Trying to watch the movie plot
Without paying so much to get in
While Stripe plans to reveal Spot, por fin!
We haven't seen Spot in over four years,
So he returns now to many cheers,
And Stripe's now on the trail,
Trying to find a scoop, a fact, a tale.
This seems like we finally get prologue;
Where Spot came from, the (superdog)
Which means at the end, we get Peanut;
Mind less blank, ideas out of the rut.

You're a wonderful person! You can do this! Yes, you, person reading this!

Man, those superhero price tickets. No wonder Spot has a secret identity.

The theater is totally justified in charging that. Last time Spot (Superdog) went to catch a flick there with his cape out the resulting battle with the Cyborg trashed three screens.
Re: 2020/03/13 - The Secret
Oh, Spot the Superdog is back. Peanut got time to make new stories of him.
Oh, Stripe, that's such a scoop!
Houndstooth already knows everything of him, I wonder how...
I guess Spot (Superdog) shouldn't be good to keep his "secret".
But, he surely knows how to save money in theaters.
Actually, he's first an adult, then also a superhero...

I like the Spot (Superdog) arcs myself.

The reason why admission for superheroes are so high is because they think the superheroes will be able to afford it because they are you know, super. XD

Also if a dog like Mungo can do all that damage to the police start, albeit unintentionally, imagine what a superhero can do. Plus, as Elwood Blutarsky pointed out, the battles heroes can get in with their enemies can get costly for the theater.

Re: 2020/03/13 - The Secret
Y'know, this thing made me realise that, due to the various other arcs that have happened lately, we haven't seen Peanut in almost an entire year, with, well, the comic wherein he hits writer's block.
Glad to see it seems he's feeling better now!

I'm wondering what sort of inspiration came along and helped to get him out of his rut or if we will ever see it?

At least this month Friday the 13th had the dignity and honor of occurring on a Friday,instead of jumping. Out at us unawares on a Monday again!

Isn't it just loathsome when Friday the 13th comes on a Monday?! Or some other day...Startrekfan47 wrote:NHWestoN wrote:Especially on Friday the Thirteenth!
