Yeah, she does not suffer fools gladly, does she?
Max goes to a 12-step program to give up catnip, while there he meets a she-cat who is in a committed relationship. The new she-cat and Max become pals and help each other stay off catnip. Grape sees Max and the she-cat and gets unnecessarily jealous.

Messing around with a spell, Tarot and Sabrina accidentally conjure up Eudoant. Eudoant desperately wants to return before the Infernal authorities dispatch The Forgotten to track him down. Kitsune, who loves messing with Infernals almost as much as Terrestrials, also gets involved. Keene, too, learns of the presence of his old "patron" and plots how to take advantage of having Eudoant at a disadvantage. Stewart wonders if the demon-deer might restore him to humanity. Mrs. McGillicuddy bakes everyone pies and, it turns out, is kinda sweet on Jeeves.

I like Mrs. McG and Jeeves together, they both seem rather unflappable.

Hey I would definitely ship it! We just need to figure out what her first name is so we can give them a couple name.
Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
That seems like an almost delightful plot. Though since Rick doesn't like to draw humans, it should be completely from the animals prespectives. Like Duke trying to figure out where Jeeves goes on his days off, and Truck and Falstaff getting suspicious about the strange man in her kitchen.

That will be as far as it will go before Mrs. M changes her name to Mrs. J.

Tum, Craig, and Draig wander off and get caught in a vermin snare belonging to Mr. Hartford. Hartford finds the trap and brings it home with dire intention towards the poor little scamps. Being easily distracted, however, he dumps them in a cage, then leaves the cage on his back porch and forgets about it. The children's plaintive cries are overheard by Marvin who resolves to rescue the unfortunate little ones. Unable to unlock the cage, the resourceful kitty remembers that Zach has a key common to this type of cage and dashes off to find his long-eared pet brother. Zach opens the cage, the trio are liberated, and everyone heads back to the treehouse. Marvin, realizing he's left Tiger home alone, turns back so only Zach and Tum make it back together. Meanwhile, Trinket has seen the whole thing and has related the rescue saga with considerable dramatic flourishes that include thieving bands, dragons and crocodiles, and much derring-do. While everyone else is skeptical, Custom Ink's devotion to the latest "opening" by "The Opener of Ways" is only more vividly intensified.

You know that if that happened since she is Pete/Craig and Dragon/Draig's mortal mother, they would end up having a meltdown. XD

The Former Steward uses the cursed coin to somehow curse the National Treasury of the U.S. which then curses digital banks that drawn from the National Treasury which then curses the general population, mostly in the West, as digital currency is used or spread to other accounts. This results in all the pet owners of Babylon Gardens being changed as well and thus all the "parents" are forced to interact with their pets on "their level." Hijinks and personal discoveries ensue. Surprisingly society itself doesn't break down and the ECP becomes ever more important.
Kitsune uncharacteristically thinks that this event breaks the bounds of the rules of the Game since none of the former Avatars or intended pawns caused this change (that and the mana draw on Pete would be completely unfair and would possibly kill him the moment his current punishment is ended.) So Kitsune pulls a Deus Ex Machina and uses emergency reserves of mana afforded to a Game Master to fix problems like this to make everyone wake up back to normal as if it were a dream. However, some of the population does not turn back, because ultimately the desire to be or become in this instance is each individual Soul's choice and perception, much like how Milton chose to be a ferret in heaven because it was how he truly perceived himself.
The side effect of this event is that is partially frees Pete and the Dragon, but they are anchored to the timestream of the Housepets world as long as their living forms are still alive. Effectively they have become their own Avatars and are once again under the rules of the Game even though there is presumably no active session... OR IS THERE? It turns out some of the people who had the opportunity to change back instead changed into things that are likely irreconcilable in "normal" reality. Because Kitsune is also lazy, he puts Pete and the Dragon to work to seek out the more egregious offenders and either change them back to human or something more manageable for the world to take.
Example. A person who was changed into a dog instead really identified or really wanted to be a living thinking attack helicopter with infinite fuel or another person really wanted to be a sparkling vampire from twilight, or several admirers really wanted to be Ricky Martin or someone really really wanted to be a reality bending wizard... Yea, most of these things would probably need to be fixed

Sounds like you've got it all thought out. Have you considered writing a fanfic?

All of that does really sound like it would make a great fanfic! If you ever were to use this prompt to create one I would definitely read it!

That does sound like a good premise for a fanfic.
Keene has a near-death experience and briefly returns to heaven...where is horrified when he finds his mother is now dating Mr. Milton and they are considering marriage.

Jeeves quits and goes to work for Duchess. The Miltons quickly miss him, Jeeves starts to miss them, but Duchess likes having a Butler. Boris, feeling unloved and cast aside, joins to conspiracy to get Jeeves back to the ferrets but not before Bino makes a mess of everything.

Some human, unhappy with his or her life, that has heard of Marion and Lois seeks them out to find out how to turn into an animal.

Forgot about that one. Okay, another adventure, with them both having grown and matured a little.

That would be kinda nice, actually It would be interesting to see an arc with slightly different pairings than we usually see.trekkie wrote:Forgot about that one. Okay, another adventure, with them both having grown and matured a little.

Well, with Fox being a K9 Officer and Maxwell known to "walk on the wild side" occasionally, the possibilities are intriguing in a sort of film noir detective context. Yeah, I can see that. They both could use a pal.

<Max answers the door>
Max: Fox! What's up?
Fox: Hey, Max. Is your dad or Bino home?
Max: No, dads at work and Bino's at the clubhouse. Why?
Fox: <Glances around quickly then gently pushes his way into the house> I need to talk to you, privately.
Max: You're freaking me out. What is the problem.
Fox: <Clearly conflicted> I could get into a lot of trouble for this, but I owe you. Do you know the pet shop down on fifth?
Max: Sure.
Fox:It was robbed last night. Someone broke in and stole just about their entire stock of catnip.
Max: ...And you thought of me? Fox...
Fox: I'm sorry, but I did! And anyone who knows you would think of you, too! I need to know, right now, if you were involved.
And Addventure can ensue from there.

Because Max was the first suspect that Fox had in mind, the power of never getting it right the first time dictates that it wasn't Max.

Naturally. This could be the tale of the one-eared cat or something. Max needs to go on the run to clear his name, seeking the one-eared cat.Amazee Dayzee wrote:Because Max was the first suspect that Fox had in mind, the power of never getting it right the first time dictates that it wasn't Max.

Except unlike the movie that it is based on, Max isn't gonna go to death row so the stakes aren't as high.

Yeah that is true. He would probably be so panicked at the thought of the others accusing him he would probably grab the first idiot he could off the street.
Or worse, try to use Bino.

Maybe Tiger would be the better bet. He might suck as bad as Bino but you can escape when he blows up a toilet in the courthouse restroom. LOL
Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
… allowing "Four Finger Discount Jack" to escape incarceration after Fox and Max, previously joining forces, have arrested him in a plot to corner the market on underground catnip. Unfortunately for the court, Jack's partner in crime - Cory Skunk - does not escape and the court is stuck with having to try him. The judge releases Cory on a promise of good behavior, and Fox is demoted for brining a skunk into the halls of justice. Max objects that the halls of justice have long been full of skunks. He gets three days incarceration for contempt of court despite Bino's pleas that he get a life sentence.Amazee Dayzee wrote:Maybe Tiger would be the better bet. Devo enlists in the police department and becomes a K9 officer. After having his owner and her friend devolved he promised to catch Stewart and Trinket and make sure no more humans meet the safe fate his did. He becomes one of most honest but intense officers they have as a result.
Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
Something like that could be interesting. He does seem perhaps a bit impulsive, since he should have known that Marion was a squirrel by the time he chased him.Elwood Blutarsky wrote:Devo enlists in the police department and becomes a K9 officer. On a slightly darker vein, Fox was permanently injured by the badger attack and is forced to leave active patrol. He manages to overcome that and become an instructor.
