Title Text: if you want ominous, ask Kari to help you!
Why bring up animals when you can bring down people?
…in all seriousness, this seems concerning.
I dont think that's what hes thinking, though I thought that's what he wanted with the mana pool.Saturn381 wrote:Keene is gonna turn everyone into an animal is he?

Yeah, and King will avoid going to Kitsune until he must.D-Rock wrote:Emotions color judgement.Gbr23 wrote:Ok so... going with Keene was easier and more logical than going to Kitsune’s statue? Unless King got rid of it (which would be very understandable).
My guess? Use Marion as "the face" of the ECP movement.Vanice wrote:Make a thing out of this? Does he mean turn this into some kind of production like he did for King's wedding? Is he actually going to help? Or is he gonna do something sinister?

In that case Lana's getting involved in this plot soon as she's in charge of the ECP.D-Rock wrote: My guess? Use Marion as "the face" of the ECP movement.
It's not that crazy. I think it's not farfetched to think he could end up at cross purposes at the least, or even forced to act against the ECP.D-Rock wrote:My guess? And that's how we get Marion as the villain; being used could make him want to dissolve the movement.![]()
Of all the weird theories, why is this the one I hold to? Makes little sense.
I think even Keene would not transform random humans into animals. It would be a really dark turn for his character who really has always felt somewhere between chaotic neutral and lawful evil. A deliberate act like this would change him too much.fenrirblack wrote:
-Keene recruits Steward and his coin to transform random humans into animals to boost the ECP.
-Steward goes behind Keene's back and starts transforming humans into animals for the ECP to get back into Keene's good graces.

I don't think he would either but the fact he ended mid-sentence like that does not inspire confidence.dr_eirik wrote:I think even Keene would not transform random humans into animals. Now, Steward doing that? Maybe. We dont know where his brain is at the moment.
It should do. His brain finally caught up with what his mouth was talking about. Pausing in the middle of a sentence is a character going "waitaminute, what am I saying? Am I really saying this?" He's worked out the situation in that second and sees an angle (Which is where, as I said before, Lana comes in. SHE'S the head of the ECP. SHE decides who's eligible. Keene's just the one who knows all the arcane shenanigans)fenrirblack wrote: I don't think he would either but the fact he ended mid-sentence like that does not inspire confidence.
Its possible that he is just getting that idea now, since he does know the approximate location of a magic device that will change humans to animals. But I dont think that's what he's thinking.Welsh Halfwit wrote:Plus, in panel #4 here, WE SEE THE PENNY DROP!dr_eirik wrote:I think even Keene would not transform random humans into animals. If Keene had been in on any plan he would have thought all this through AGES ago. He wouldn't be putting those thoughts into place only now!

And with regards to Marion, where is he right now? Is he in a cop car that got driven to Keene and Breel’s house, waiting with a human officer chauffeur? Is he back at the station, safe and away from where any meddling badger could get to him? Or did Fox & Fido give the go-ahead to Lois to take Marion to her place for the night? Here’s hoping wherever he is, he’s catching some Z’s...Ash Greytree wrote:[Marion is looking at a laptop screen, with an “I can’t believe this” look on his face. Lois walks in.]
Lois: “What’s wrong? Couldn’t come up with any leads again?”
Marion: “No, not this time. It’s just that, when I knew I was going to be taking exams this week-“
[Next panel shifts to show the laptop screen, with info about the General Obedience Exam on it.]

It can be both.

This. THIS THIS THIS. Steward tried to kill Keene. Keene fired Steward and Steward got turned into a badger. I'm not sure how MUCH Steward was involved in turning Marion into a squirrel, but I feel like he's involved to some extent. He doesn't like the ECP and he doesn't like Keene. He also knows that Keene is dangerously driven to getting animal rights passed.Gbr23 wrote:Ok so... going with Keene was easier and more logical than going to Kitsune’s statue? Also I have this feeling that this all fits perfectly in Stewards plan, whatever it might be

Thomas should have a coin, and there are a whole bunch buried in the temple which Keene still owns.fenrirblack wrote:Okay, so I was sort of right? I mean we didn't need Steward to come up with the plan because Keene is that crazy. But we still need the coin. SO i have work to do.
