Sigh. Well Pueblo’s scarred for life. I’ll call the therapist and up a appointment.

Nevermind, I figured it out. It does take about 15-20 min for the navigation buttons to update on the main site though.
Check out Lightning Dogs on the Nerdyshow Podcast Network
It's an in-development animated series following a team of Anthro-Dogs trapped in the Wastelands of a ruined Earth.

I love how Pueblo looks great in every one of a whole range of emotions.
North Star is getting headlocked. You can tell because of the lighter fur around his eyes. That does beg the question of why would North Star have harts for eyes. He was just arguing for keeping her tied up because she was trying to kill them from his perspective.Arvetis wrote:Oh MY

If you go to the home page http://www.housepetscomic.com/ and click on the title of the comic, it will take you to the permalink page even if you can't get there with the arrows.Bandit1990 wrote:How do Ya'll get the tags so early? It takes about 15 min for the Permalink page to be ready for me.

Poor Pueblo. Poor North Star. Everyone is going to need to see the therapist after this.

Ok so summarizing: The wolves got served, Miles & Lucretia are the ones left
Re: 2018/08/24 - Cupid’s Headlock
Pueblo I can understand, but North Star? He’s about (I think) eight Christmasses older than when we first saw him, where he was a cub, and from what I remember he passed the wolves’ adulthood test with his brothers. Also I’m pretty sure Gale is referring to him as a “young adult.”fenrirblack wrote:Poor Pueblo. Poor North Star. Everyone is going to need to see the therapist after this.

So now it's down to Miles and Lucretia. Unless Deadeye's spider senses kick in and he deus ex machina the wolves to safety

She has him trapped in a complex headlock and she's REALLY up close and personal. She's made him love the one who's hurting him. A very Gale thing to do...ChekeBello wrote:Yeah, I’m not totally sure of how North Star fell for herChampion Wallace wrote:North Star is getting headlocked. Coming down to check his prize,
Pueblo’s kinda concerned for the guys.
He dropped his mom on HIS head;
he hopes they didn’t kill Poncho dead.
Mom’s are weird when it comes to love,
Odder even, when push comes to shove.
He hopes she didn’t crack Poncho’s brain.
It seems to have gone mushy, all the same.
She understands what he cannot -
Love makes a Wolf behave like a clot.
His world is changing in so many ways,
when this plot is over, I hope Pueblo stays.

Poncho’s and North Star’s love language must be physical touch - of any sort.

Strong women is a pretty common trend in this comic, I've noticed. :3

So then is it like "love at first sight" people complain about in movies but in this case it's love at first headlock? I can't tell if this is less weird or a lot weirder if you consider the pups' idea of quality time is getting headlocked by their mom.rickgriffin wrote:I refer you to Gale's words this comicChekeBello wrote:Yeah, I’m not totally sure of how North Star fell for herChampion Wallace wrote:North Star is getting headlocked. Seriously mother issues. Freud would have a field day with this.

I also wonder what it would say about Lucretia and co.

As a Cougar, it seems Gale has a passive ability that she can use to her advantage
Re: 2018/08/24 - Cupid’s Headlock
North Star apparently failed to flee ... Guess we can figger why. Poor Pueblo, from bondage to entwining, that's some serious Freudian pre-adolescent imprinting on that tender psyche of his.

Pueblo just witnessed one of the top 10 wildest cougar betrayals - mom's dating lessons.
Also find it very amusing that North Star is liking this as well.

Hmmmmm ... well, when the pack began this expedition, the subject of finding mates did come up. And the options in "civilization" weren't promising. Love's just a beautiful thing, ain't it, Gale? Gale? Guys? Pueblo?
Okay, enough of that from me.

Re: 2018/08/24 - Cupid’s Headlock
OMG! But what... What's going on here, now? I would agree with your always cute son, Gale, stop being so weird... You're right with that, anyway. Yeah, Poncho's brain is totally knocked out... How can he say that thing directly to a cub, which is also her son? Huh, it's the turn of North Star to get a wrestling move, and he's loving that... Well, I don't know how this embarrassing moment is going to end, but it's so unique to enjoy.

Re: 2018/08/24 - Cupid’s Headlock
It's official. North Star is a teenager!
Here's a fun fact. Wolves reach sexual maturity at 2-3 years of age.
But let's take a moment and look at this from a psychological perspective. Little is known about Poncho's family ties. As far as we know we have never seen anyone who is biologically related to Poncho aside from Jack. It is entirely possible that Gale served as a type of mother figure that filled the void where his own mother was not. Combine that with the trauma of his injuries and his mind might have been affected in a way that only became apparent once Poncho actively sought a mate. In summary, Poncho really needs to find himself a girlfriend. North Star on the other hand is going through puberty. From what we've seen the only female contact any of the cubs ever had were with members of their own family. Having such a, umm, close contact with Gale triggered hormonal changes taking place in his body. You can look at it from a Freudian perspective but I would not recommend it.
I've been doing research on Childhood trauma and I found that the cubs could develop Acute Stress Disorder. "If an adolescent has been exposed to a traumatic event that involves threat of death, serious injury, or violation of physical integrity involving him- or himself or others, associated with feelings of fear, helplessness. or horror, the following symptoms, beginning with four weeks of the traumatic event and lasting no longer than four weeks are signs of acute stress disorder."
Even though this is a comic it never hurts to learn something new.
