HAHA, it DOES sound creepy.
Telegram is fun! I like the stickers I kinda faded out of skype for a few years now. It seems that telegram took up less space (for my phone at least).TheSilverFox51 wrote: I don't have internet right now and my phone broke :/ but once I get those fixed I will be signing up. Mmhm. I literally never used Skype on my phone cause it was so bad. Took up a ton of space, drained my battery like crazy, and since the mobile version wasn't properly synced with the desktop version, I would literally have to just sit around and wait for a bunch of old messages to load every time I swapped between the two. It was pretty lame. Plus, the voice chats always seemed to have connection issues for no particular reason. So when Discord came around, me and most of my friends jumped ship and never looked back. :PCrux wrote:I kinda faded out of skype for a few years now. kind of like the problems I had with Skype too! Was thinking of using discord, but currently I'm still sticking with telegram. yeah that's why I never had it on my phone. I don't know if the issue has been fixed in the last... 5 years?... or if it's just cause all my groups died out and I don't get 100+ messages every time i go on anymore, but I do have it on my phone nowKJOokami wrote:Mmhm. I had AIM on my phone for like 3 hours before I hated it and deleted it. Skype I didn't even bother with. I couldn't even get it to run well on a PC, let alone a phone.
Telegram and Discord are great on mobile though!

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
I made an awesome find at work today!
There was an Australian sixpence from 1962 in my till!
Australia hasn't used pennies since 1966 so that coin is potentially worth up to $7 ($5.19USD) to a collector.
For reference, face value of the coin is only 70 cents (0.52USD) in today's money.
I ain't selling the coin though. It's mine now!
I've actually never seen one of those coins outside of a museum until today

Currency......the fantasy we all share. Coins are fascinating things, what?
Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
Actually, yeah. Love the designs of Mexican Pesos.

Good example, D-Rock. Some coins and paper currencies really are artful.

We had a Robin's ice cream store open up recently and my stepdad was excited to find out they gave him American quarters to add to his collection. He's now a happy clam.

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
I remember coming across the Canadian Remembrance Day quarter while looking up references for a collar for Gamecobra's character, really neat design. Hilarious that the American government thought that it was designed for espionage.
This reminds me, I have a Sacagawea gold dollar that is in need of cleaning. I should get on that.

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
It's fun to collect uncommon designs. Someone at work used it to buy a soda a while ago.
Though I looked up "collector's condition" and those things fetch absurd prices.
I mean, I don't imagine there are many places that will take it for more than what it was minted for.

that and there's a bunch of other gold coins in circulation, I think there was a presidents series, then a national parks one?Sleet wrote:They're a thing, they just don't ever get spent because people are dumb.

...and there's not enough of these coins in circulation to become so ordinary that people don't "collect" them on the occasions one comes into their pockets.

I used to go out of my way to use them. I'd get them from banks and then pay for small things with them.

I merely thought of them as nice finds, preferred not to use them, though. But sometimes you're a dollar short. shrug

its probably just a case of bad ad placement, but that makes the staff look pretty dumb...
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Carrots, pumpkins - they should have labeled it “oranges” and it would have sort of been correct.
As for the cauliflower - I wonder if it’s possible to dye it the same way they do flowers...

Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Definitely give it another watch! I giggled like a madman through half of it, and the feels still hit me hard too. I forgot how incredibly quotable it is~Sleet wrote:I've still only see that once. Add it to Inception and Wreck-It Ralph as movies I'd like to see again sometime!
And those other two are amazing as well! Wreck-It Ralph I've seen at least a couple times, but Inception I think I've only seen once so far all the way through. Still, great movie.

My adult children and I saw Wreck-it Ralph in Disneyland when it first came out. They were all rather surprised how much they enjoyed it. And I agree, Sleet, Bolt is also a fine, rather unappreciated work.
