Joy: got a whole big bunch of old furniture off to Habitat finally!
Sorrow: Singin' in the rain is dramatically less romantic when the temperature is 34 degrees.
Ultra Joy: This started last Monday, but i forgot to post it: I am now working at home as a tech agent. Now noone has to worry about driving me to work <3 <3 <3
Sorrow: Asside from a few breaks, I just wasted an entire afternoon trying to clean the _______ stupid __________-load of worthless ______________ shovelware it was clogged full of.
And people wonder why I hate prebuilt machines...
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.
sorrow: so apparently the extreme lengths i had to go to in the removing of the shovel-ware from this thing a while back left lasting damage software-wise, which earlier today made it go haywire. had to wipe it and start over.
Joy: apparently i found such a small portion of the junk that the boot time post wipe is less than HALF the delay it was before... O.o guess wiping it ans starting over was worth it for more reason than one.

Joy: Been getting good grades on my assignments lately, and from getting either perfect or close to perfect scores on the latest test and project, I managed to pull up my overall 73% grade to an 88% in my music class.
Sorrow: My best friend lives halfway across the world, and it's hard to get a hold of him a lot of the time.
*groan*: Time Warner's website is redirecting me from the login screen back to the login screen. Apparently my service was closed due to "Military Deployment." Guess who's not deployed and guess who didn't ask for a hold on my service. If you guessed "Deske" then you'd be correct on both accounts.
Edit: My roommate opened an account in his room and it basically overwrote my account. Luckily everything's getting sorted out.
Edit #2: These support techs are going to give me an aneurysm...
fright!!!: My computer keeps freezing up since yesterday, first firefox caused my entire system to crash, making it reboot itself, then today telegram causes everything to freeze up, so i had to press the reset button. I think it updated after i restarted, so i hope it's just because it's doing that. But i might have to reinstall window again to wipe everything clean soon
Joy - I've finally decided what I want to do with my life, I want to be an artist. I'm working at it currently, as it was probably foolish to choose the one profession that I'm extremely bad at.
Sorrow - I have no idea what I'm doing, can't afford art lessons and there aren't even any professional artists or classes near where I live. Also, I cannot decide whether or not I want to go to college for art, or if I just want to stumble my way through it like a fool.
Joy: finally back on and posting. Been a couple months just bust with school stuff ya know. 2nd day back at school from a pretty good spring break. Just ready for May to get out of school already.
There's no place like home...except the Housepets home page.
Everyone's spring break is a little different. My students' spring break starts next week
Joy: Spring Break!
Sorrow: I is teacher. And I have to prepare for the next school year in April.
Small Joy: I'll probably take a little time off during the break for myself
sorrow : my laptop broke down on my, having it fixed and lost a month's salary on it is one thing, but knowing that it won't be the same when i get it back is making me a little melancholy.
Joy: I joined the Housepets forums 5 years ago today and what an amazing five years it's been! Thanks for all the great times, the support in the bad times, the solid friendships and all the life lessons I've learned along the journey, everyone!
