Let me guess, with all the banging and clanging of steel and metal being smelted, hammered and shaped?Xane wrote:"Despite the name, it's still quieter than Mechanus."
Initally, until it said "Daddy", then I heard a little girl's voice coming from it. Sounded much cuter in my head.jonas wrote:I can't help but hear the voice of the mini-demon as Guilmon from the dub of Digimon 03.
Well, it's normally a more... Subtle form of Pandemoniam, all things considered.leinglo wrote:Maybe there's a leaf being taken from the Screwtape Letters and this part of hell is represented in the form of manipulative, greedy, bureaucratic big businesses.
Easiest answer is that this is just one of it's levels. This is just Level one, and The Forgotten is on The Lowest Level, where all that magma is. A LOT of religions follow the idea that hell has a lot of levels. Chinese Hell, for example, has Eighteen of them.D-Rock wrote:One, I've been meaning to read that book, leinglo. Two, there's definitely no shortage of interpretations of Hell for a comic about housepets, huh?
Looks like Milton's hell. He's the one who came up with that name for the city of all devils.John-056 wrote:Hmmm, I think The Forgotten is from the lowest levels of Hell, since it's either using ideals from chinese Hell, or following Spirited Away's idea of It, if I use that ref to It where calling for Breel would make any Denizen refer to themselves as such to try and sucker Keene into getting them taken out with him.
Actually, my point was that until Rick confirms otherwise, I would use Gender Neutral Terms.CHAOKOCartoons wrote:I'da know, why do you assume it's a female?
Headcanons, ya know? S'just a demon.![]()
I'm totally fine with that idea.Panther wrote:Cute dino ghost/demon ........ Yea ! Take him back on Earth , Keene : he'll be fine in case of crossover with "Savestate" , to deal with Harvey and Nessie XD
In Spanish you'd refer to it as an "it" but use 'he/him' terms since "demon" is a male word, I'd subconsciously translate it and refer to it automatically as a "he" until proven otherwise.John-056 wrote:stuff about the demon's gender.
Nah, in my mind he has Rextro's psudovoice.jonas wrote:I can't help but hear the voice of the mini-demon as Guilmon from the dub of Digimon 03.
John-056 wrote: Frankly, The Only reason I thought of it having a Little Girl's voice, was when it said "Daddy" to Keene, since it sounds Cuter rather than Creepy.
Sounds right then, The Nothingness was all about forgeting and if Breel is lost and hard to find it could be like a personal hell for our own Milton. Clever connection if we're right.Argent wrote:Milton's Hell is more like the Greek afterlife than Dante's circles of pits and walls. It's a vast plain divided by five rivers each attuned to a different aspect of hell: hate, sorrow, lamentation, rage, and forgetfulness.
