Max is being far more of a jerk than I remember him being honestly. Though I guess that could be chalked up to the last time he was in the comic (before this arc anyway) was January 27 and apparently, before that, he hadn't been seen since November 20 of 2015. (Unless some Tags are missing/messed up maybe?)

So... From what I understand, Grape obviously worries about her friend Res' safety, but this strip implies that just like Max, she also worries about Pridelands not being finished... When she says "And we won't have to unless he dies!" -_-

I look at it that she's trying to steer Maxwell into helping by playing with the reason he wanted to come in the first place: The author of Pridelands. I just think it's amusing she's trying goad him into doing something that i'm sure Maxwell's aware she's just as bad as him. She wants to be friends with Res outside the book, but she also wants to see the ending to Pridelands. Considering how nerdy and how easy it's to swoon her, it comes off as not surprising :3

can't wait to see more of these interactions.

Also, totally calling it: Grape is a dragon cat.
