Flukely paced back and forth within his room, grumbling under his breath as he tried to think of ways to get closer without setting off alarm. Meanwhile, Charles had pulled their drone back to where it had simply looked like a bird had flown overhead.

Flash broke off another piece of the plywood and finally got the hole wide enough to fit through. He knew it was only a couple of minutes of work, but it felt like almost a week. He stuck his head through. "Pst! Hey! You two alright in there? I'm here to help! I'm with a mouse named Kilo, a rabbit named Flynn, and a dog I was never introduced to now that I think about it... Anyway, I'm going to come in and see if I can help you. Just..." He thought about what Kilo said about Nadia and asked her. "Just promise you won't try to eat me. I don't think you will, but I just want your word at least."

They would be great for off trail searching..

Senka clipped the radio back on her best before reaching into her collar. Flynn? Maybe she's found something out. Flipping it open she took the call.
"Hey Flynn, how are things at your end?"

"Don't worry. I'm sure whoever you wind up with will be able to find ways to accommodate you." Paul assures the mouse. "For instance, I know of one family in town who has a mouse who've set up pulleys and suchlike so the mouse can get up to counters and suchlike and they've given him a little car to drive in and everything. Just like in Stuart Little."

Jackie sits quietly and watches, keeping one eye on the beeping machine that's keeping tabs on Nola's heart rate and oxygen levels.

Pepper expresses her approval and sets Chip to work under a counter near the door.

The two captives are gagged and so can't respond to Flash. Piper does feel a surge of hope at the sound of the voice but it doesn't last for long as the door opens again and the kidnapper shines a powerful flashlight into the compartment, searching for anything out of the ordinary.

"Senka, we found them! They're in a red shipping crate in the railyards. How soon can you get over here? I want you here before the cops to see if we can negotiate or intimidate before the law starts scaring them."

"Keep your voice down, young Flash," Kilo uttered quietly on Flynn's shoulder as the human guarding the crate reacted and the old Mouse guessed what to. "I may need to head in," he continued, watching intently.

"Sounds like one of those big playparks Kilo used to tell us about, with Humans on rides that rose right into the sky and swooped faster than eagles towards the ground," she raised her paws right above her head before twisting all the way to the right and bending almost double in her enthusiasm. "Where the bins swim with the best garbage and sticky sodas... Bit like Heaven with a lot of big feet."

Chip practised saying 'beep' and breathing heavily as though on a radio as she wandered where no Dog had sniffed before. "Beep," she said, pulling something up, "Pepper, we have a tin tack. Over. Beep."

Flash noticed the two were gagged. He should have figured the kidnappers wouldn't want them yelling out. He was about to go take their gags off when the door started to open. Not even stopping to think about it, he ran as quickly and quietly as he could over to the captives and hid behind them before the kidnapper could see. As the man searched, Flash kept a close look on the flashlight beam and moved when it did so that he would keep hidden even as the kidnapper moved about the inside of the compartment.

----Meanwhile----

Deus finished what he was working on. He picked up the now carved thicker half of the tree. After inspecting it, he found it could use some more work, but it was good for now. He pulled up some ivy and used it to tie the broken branches to his newly fashioned club. He heaved the whole thing onto his shoulder and started walking back to his cave so he could start on the fire, when he stopped. He had a bad feeling about something. He didn't know what, but his instincts weren't often wrong.

"What?! You're where? Look, don't do anything dangerous. I'll be there in a flash. The rail yards right? Have someone meet me close by so they don't notice anything. And please, nothing stupid? That's what I'm supposed to be for." She closed the line with an angry flip of her phone before getting back on the radio as she walked away from the streets.

"Hey Rick, scratch the pick-up. Call the cops in a few minutes and send them over to the railyards. We found were they are and... someone's gotta scrape what's left of them off the ground after I'm finished. Over.". A sharp growl underlined each word, her eyelids turning to slits for a moment before she was gone, dashing off in the direction of the rail yards.

She hurries out side, but the cougar is long gone..
but the sniffy police dog is still there..

Nadia whined and tried to move away from the blinding light, pressing herself against the wall behind her. Lucky for Flash, there was still a small space between her lower back and the wall for him to not be squished

Flash was caught off guard by Nadia's sudden movement as he found himself pressed between her and the wall. He kept quiet though and stayed still, waiting for the man to leave.

The kidnapper peers around for a few more moments before turning off the torch and slamming the door again, putting the noises down to stress from this job.

"Senka's on her way. Should I call the cops or assume she'll bring them?" he asks Kilo.

"Understood... The police have been dispatched. Do you have any units on scene yet, sir? Or any other information that might be relevant?" the dispatcher responds to Rick.

Flash breathed a sigh of relief as he heard the kidnapper leave. He managed to pry himself out from behind Nadia and walked around the two so that he was clearly visible to them. He then spoke to them in a whisper. "Like I said, I'm with some friends of yours. I'm going to remove your gags, and I'd like you to tell me what happened, as well as anything else you want to say to your friends." He started to climb up Nadia's arm to get to the gag. As he untied it, he continued. "Flynn asked me to tell him your status. If you were hurt, or anything helpful while he contacts the authorities." He finally got the gag loose, but where it was still hanging around her neck. He slid back down to the ground and repeated the process with Piper. "I'll be back soon afterwards. I'll take off the other restraints then, but I don't want to risk Dumb and Dumber out there noticing you two are loose." He finished loosening Pipers gag and softly dropped back down to the floor. He turned back to look at Piper and Nadia. "So. What should I tell the good guys outside?" he asked, still whispering.

Upon seeing the rail yards in her sights Senka slowed down, panting softly as she pulls her phone out of her collar.
*Beep Boop* "Hey... Flynn. I'm here. Where are they?" The cat looked around the place, trying to spot either the kidnappers or the pets.

Mice are way too small for her to take notice off, She would be hunting down a deer, rabbit, or A dog....
But i think she is hunting the pet nappers at this time..

"DoN't.....CoMe......" Nadia whispered , seemingly having difficulty speaking. Her voice oddly fluctuating between her short, irregular breathing. Between those signs and her eyes still remained shut, the vixen looked like she was in pain or about to collapse.

"I've only known him for an hour and I know he won't listen to me when I tell him that." He whispered. He was concerned about Nadia's current state. "You aren't looking so good. Do you want me to bring you something to help? I don't really know what I can bring, but I can try to find something." He turned to Piper. "What about you? Anything I can get for you or say to the others?"

allowing Senka to sneak on them. But we need Senka here first. For timing."

"She's here, Kilo. Wait and see what she wants to do. I wonder how we'll get through these gates." he ponders, looking at the chain and padlock.
"I'm sure I can squeeze between them but she and Ryyn can't."

Jackie begins to think Nola is taking an unusually long time to wake up but she's not worried as she knows all pets react differently to the anaesthetic and also Nola has a damaged lung meaning she'll breathe the gas out more slowly.

TThomas put his hand in front of her nose. She sniffed. "Dreaming?" She sniffed again and the gummed eyes slid open slightly. She sounded almost tearful. "NOT...Not dreaming?" She twisted around to see him, then sat up and whapped a hug around his head.

"All right. I'll be right back!" Flash ran over to the hole he made and squeezed back through. He followed the wire again to the hole to outside. Once he was out, he retraced his steps, running all the way back to Flynn and Kilo.

"Guys, I made contact! The fox said not to come, and then mumbled something I couldn't really understand. The rabbit said that they are alive and want out, but don't get caught. Also, the fox, Nadia, right? She looked to be in some bad state, but both are alive." He sat back down in the grass and rested up. "Anything you guys want to tell them when I go back?"

"There's two of them, right Flash?" Flynn asks the mouse, doing his best to look casual. "I know one of them has a gun. I don't know about the other though. What weapons did you see in there, Flash? There's a bush near the gate here, Senka, but not a whole lot of cover within the yards. Only one unloaded train between us and them at the moment. And there's a chain and lock on the gate. I could fit through but I don't know about you. How high can you jump? Um, there aren't many people around, just a few workers. You'll need to be quick to cover the ground, I reckon."

Jackie smiles quietly as she watches the reunion but does move to caution the cat.
"Easy on those ribs, Nola. And don't move too suddenly. I don't want you accidentally pulling your drain out."

Outside the shop there's an exodus of cops as the report comes through that the kidnappers have been found. Everyone runs to their cars, loading their GPSs and checking supplies and weapons.

"I can distract them for a short period of time," Kilo asserted, "When I get to the top of that crate I can distract them as I know how. I can talk. And you KNOW I can hold people when I talk, Flynn. And I can still climb. I'd wait for Senka but I suppose it would be better if I went now and made best speed. When you are ready, throw a stone as hard as you can so it lands on his other side. Then I shall start." he started making his way down Flynn, his cane across his back as he ignored his old hip to put best speed on towards the tunnel.

Flash barely reacted to the sudden appearance of a mountain lion. He put his head in his hands. Why didn't he think to look for weapons? "I'm sorry. I wasn't looking for weapons. I didn't get a good look at them, since I was trying to stay out of sight myself. I'd think both of them are armed though. Even with a distraction though, Senka would still be outnumbered if you go alone, and outgunned no matter how many of us go with you." He got up. now his whole head was over the grass. "Whatever we decide to do, I promised those two in there that I'd be back. So if you need me, then I need to know now. Otherwise, I need to know what to tell them when I go back."

"Senka, we've got a plan. Kilo is going to cause a distraction over there so we can get near enough. Then you'll have to take the outside guard down, hopefully before he can raise the alarm. If all goes to plan the other should come out to see what the fuss is and then we can nab him too. Oh, I see you now. Over here!" The rabbit waves as the cougar rounds the building.

"There are a few around still. Some upstairs keeping an eye on the phone, others keeping the scene secure and the crowd under control. The rest are chasing up a lead." Pepper explains, tapping the earpiece that's barely visible past her fur.
"Our job is just to make sure we haven't missed any evidence and to keep the scene secure. We're one of just two teams on the shop floor at the moment."

Kilo was feeling his age and his hip by the time they reached the container and had almost leaned on Flash once or twice. Now, however, was different. Now was up and, with the 'x' bars inlaid on the frame, the old mouse had little trouble getting up on all fours and climbed atop the structure, ready to distract. He took a peek down towards the human a few feet below him and ducked back, out of sight. As with any play, the entrance would help sell the thing.

After he finished escorting Kilo to his position, Flash ran back to the hole he found and climbed back into the back of the crate where Piper and Nadia were still tied up. "Guys, I'm back." he whispered. "Flynn said to tell you that Senka is here, and that you will be out soon."

"Got it." Senka waved back as she hung up the call. Looking around first to see if the coast was clear the mountain lion easily climbed over the fence and landed in the bushes with a soft rustle. Getting up she walked over to Flynn, picking out the leaves that had clung to her fur. "Just point in a direction and I'll make sure they won't be getting up anytime soon."

"Here goes nothing." Flynn takes a deep breath as he picks up a rock.
"Once I've thrown it give Kilo a few moments to make sure the guy is looking the other way. That way you'll have the element of surprise and you'll be able to get to him before he gets his gun." So saying, Flynn lobs the stone as hard as he can, watching as it arcs and... Bounces off the side of the crate instead of going past it.
"Rats. Come on, Kilo! It's up to you now!"

INside the crate, Piper's relief is palpable and she starts to thank Flash before yelping in surprise at the clang.

"Honestly," Kilo grumbled as he reverberated for several seconds, "he throws like a Millwall goalkeeper." He shook his head. Where had he heard that one? "Excuse me, young man," he said clearly, still keeping out of the gunman's eye line for the moment. "but you shouldn't shoot that gun," Now he stepped forward into view as the Human looked up at him. "Every police officer in half a mile would hear it on an afternoon this clear and arrive in three minutes. It strikes me that, although you may be ready to use it, three minutes would be pushing it and rather silly for shooting a Mouse. Especially one who just happens to be wandering by, looking for the container train for Star City" He paused for half a breath, hoping the gunman wouldn't notice he'd just inserted a fictional city from one of Flynn's shows ((Arrow)) instead of a local city. "Of course," he continued quickly, "there is the question as to why you have a gun anyhow but I think the answer to that is obvious. Quite simple considering I have seen a television this morning, hmm?." he tapped the crate with his cane and grinned. "You have young Piper Brookley in this crate, which makes you either a very smart criminal or just a kidnapper. Ah!" Kilo smiled, having thought of something new to draw out the time and keep the attention on him. "you're wondering why I think you a great criminal, yes? Well," he chuntered on, "you probably worked out that there's a major exhibition of Robert Thompson antique furniture in Layburn in three days time. Such extreme beauty and such extreme value in antique furniture IF you have an expert on the subject to hand to spot the fakes and guess who happens to be one of the biggest experts in the state on Thompson? That's right, Piper Brookley! So you see, you must have had that as your idea from the beginning... Unless you're just a kidnapper, who'll get tens of thousands of dollars instead of hundreds of thousands..." Without looking he was hoping Senka was close...

The kidnapper's hand goes into his jacket. It's obvious he's unholstered his gun but hasn't brought it into the open yet.
"Who said that? Who's there?" he demands, looking around and then up in the direction of the sound.

"Now! Quick!" Flynn hisses at Senka.

"Yup. No swimming, no rough sports, no flying, in short no fun." Jackie answers, only half joking. She takes the oxygen mask off Nola and replaces it with nasal prongs, intending to make sure the cat can breathe as easily as possible while her lung recovers.

Dashing forwards, the mountain lion closed the gap in a second, silently standing behind the man for a moment before grabbing his shoulder. She watched him turn his head in surprise, mouth agap...

And then proceeded to knock the living daylights out of him. Her tight grip on his shirt made sure he wasn't given a chance to fall after the beating when she finally pulled her fist back for the last time.
"Strange guy. Already ordered a knuckle sandwich before he got the ransom money." Without dropping him she lugged the man over to where Flynn was and tossed him on the ground. By the state of his face. And the stain on Senka's fist. He was definitely out.

As the paw lands on his shoulder, the man whips out his gun despite being shocked. Before he has a chance to use it though, Senka's fist slams into his face. As he jerks backwards he reflexively tightens his grip on the weapon. An almost simultaneous BANG and CLANG are followed by a yelp as the bullet bounces off the crate. When Senka turns to drop the man at Flynn's feet she'll see him clutching his left upper arm and grimacing in pain as he wobbles slightly.
"Well," Flynn quips through gritted teeth, "I'm glad you were his delivery girl!"

At the same instant, workers in the yard and passengers waiting on the platform scatter and take cover amid screams and cries of "SHOTS FIRED!" and "ACTIVE SHOOTER!". Not thirty seconds later the first sirens begin to sound as the police begin to arrive.

Inside the crate the other kidnapper has realised that they've been caught. He grabs Piper from the secret compartment, pulling the doors hut again behind him and sits on a chair, the rabbit tightly restrained and in a headlock in one arm, the other hand holding a gun under her chin as he waits for the inevitable.

Back in the shop Pepper's head suddenly snaps up.
"Shots fired! I gotta go! Chip, stay here and stay safe!" she barks before running out the door with as many of the remaining cops and dogs as can be spared.

The news begins to spread through the reporters and from them over the airwaves. Quick as a flash they vanish from the street outside the shop and a few minutes later several helicopters can be heard in the area.
John and Joan, who've had the radio going, turn pale at the news and John tries Flynn's phone again but it goes to voicemail. Knowing that the only thing they can do now is to stay far from the scene, the humans do the only thing they can to help the situation. They sit together and begin to pray.

When the kidnapper entered to take Piper, Flash, to his shame, hid. Once the man left however, Flash ran out of the crate through his usual route. Moving faster than ever, he ran over to where Flynn was. Without even giving time for his dust to settle, he yelled to Flynn "The second kidnapper is holding the rabbit! He has a gun on her!" and he was gone before anyone could react. He scoured the train yard for anything he could use, coming across a small pebble and a nail with it's head broken off. He picked the two up and ran back into the crate. Quietly so as to avoid detection, he moved over to the chair where the kidnapper was sitting.

Flash had a plan. As silently as he could, and without touching the kidnapper, he began to tie the man's shoelaces together into a tight knot. Once he was done with that, he stood back in the corner with his stone and his nail and waited for the right opportunity.

Deus was almost to his cave when he heard the sickening sound of gunshots and screams. Old, painful memories swelled inside of him. Memories he wished would go away. They were almost enough to make him forget that the gunshots were coming from the rail yard, where Flash was now. "Flash!?"

He roared in such a way as to shake the very air in the area. His rage was much louder and more dangerous at the moment than any gunshot. As he roared, he charged toward the rail yard, smashing down any tree that stood in his way.

Kandi goes back into the coffee shop..
Pay the bill phil, we gotta go..
Senka ran off.. she must have found out where the pet nappers are..
But the police radios are freaking out about there being shots fired!..An the K9 units are running in circles.
We got to get to my truck, and find out where everyone is..

Ducking down behind the Ranger jeep with Larry, moving to the back to get the shotgun that is stored there.

There was a smirk of triumph on Senka's face until she saw Flynn bleeding from the shoulder.
"Flynn! What happened?!" The cougar crouched down next to him, large paws steadying him, a look of shock on her face as she stared fixated on the red splotch that only seemed to be growing bigger.
The gunshot... When she punched the guy... "Carp carp carp... this is my fault... you need help I-I...". Senka looked around frantically until her ears caught the sound of police sirens and yelling men coming from the rail yard entrance.

"Senka," Kilo called down, "give me a few moments to try and resolve things first, please!". He gestured to Flynn. "Flynn needs more help than I can give now, attend to him for a few moments hmm? If he doesn't come out before then, THEN come tear him apart, dear girl."

There was a moment where the cougar simply wanted to charge into the crate and rip the other kidnappet to pieces, her eyes already turning into slits and her mind starting to blur. But at the sound of Kilo's voice she snapped out of it.
"Ah- r-right. Flynn... okay okay umm...". The mountain lion leaned forwards and scooped the rabbit gently up in her arms, holding him firmly against her while being careful not to touch the wounded area. "I heard siren's in the distance. Kilo, tell me what happens when I get back alright? Unless you want to come along?" The mountain lion gave the mouse an oppurtunity to hop onto her before she ran off once again.
