Heaven is an all-mustelid anything!
Creature of chaos with long slender body, heavy tail, and clever hands. I am to water as a dragon is to fire. And I'm adorable.

Well here we meet animal number one!
And three pages in and we're still no closer to discovering how Keene ended up in heaven in the first place ;3

I really have to wonder how Keene has not heard of Heaven.

Ack! All the advanced nakedness!
Either Keene is having a brain fart, he's never heard of heaven, or he's illiterate - or he could be in denial.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Maybe it's because the brochure is eternal like heaven
I find it really funny where Keene looks at in the first panel

Now all I need to know is: is Breel a boy's name or a girls name? (Google doesn't help; it's a
last name!)

I get the feeling that the moment of realization is only a few pages away, maybe even on the next page.
... Is it bad that I'm really looking forward to Keene's breakdown, if he does has one?

Side note: The first panel is, in my opinion, the cutesiest Keene's ever looked in this comic.

Keene read it like a substitute teacher would read a roster for attendance. They always pronounce names in the weirdest way possible. I've been called "Gabriella", "Gaabriel" and my last name is even worse but I'm not going there.
There's no place like home...except the Housepets home page.

Looks a nice place.
Aww, Breel is so cute.
Eheh, collars are optional in the Heaven.
Yeah, Keene is new there, and in fact he hasn't still realized to be in a place hat doesn't exist, as some says.
Yep, that's a cool name for a vacation place. You're funny, Keene.

I wonder if for Keene there's some sort of state of mind thing that has him unable to accept what Heaven is like King did.

Judging from his/her chest fur color I would guess pine marten.

Advanced neckedness?
Considering all the lovely long necks we're seeing, it's strangely appropriate!
Hey, is the name Keene Milton a play on Milton Keynes? Am I the first or the last to notice this?

This just feels wrong... I'm still hoping it all ends up being a Scrooge situation and its just to change him for the better.... Having one of the pets die... even Keene... seems just so dark for this comic..

We've had on-screen death before. As long as it's not shown in great detail, I think a PG comic can get away with it. Heck, even Watership Down and Secret of NIMH had multiple on-screen deaths, though it could be argued that it's because what ratings look at tends to change.

Most likely a pine marten, could be an American marten (like Cinnamon) but I'm not seeing the eye markings. Beech marten and stone marten have paler throat patches. Breel's throat patch is more regular than is typical for either the pine marten or the American marten.

Has anybody noticed the copypasted face in one of the mustelids in the second panel?
(Hint: Tarot has also that face)
Have you been looking at the thing above this? Dis is my old signature and is not relevant anymore.

It's hard to draw unique faces on every character, so sometimes an artist will default to certain similar expressions. But many people watched Rick free hand that mustelid in his live stream, so any similarity to Tarot is coincidence
