Wikifur Featured Comic
Just thought I'd mention that Housepets! is today's Featured Comic on Wikifur;
http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/WikiFur_Furry_Central
I know that it's not meant to be an entirely 'furry' comic, but all publicity is good publicity, right?

I was going to make a joke but then I did.
Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
its been on there frontpage for about 3 mouths now?
"Why would you ever want to connect the dots?"
Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
it was never taken off?
okay that's just laziness

Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
Welp, it's only logical that any given comic stays featured for several months for that it takes GreenReaper or who else years to choose one. HP was nominated in May, 2008 and got chosen in May, 2010.

No, I think it's just chance that we've seen it there twice. Apparently it was Featured Comic of the Week for Week 17 and 31 of 2010.
...
There's also the possibility it doesn't change. I dunno. Guess we'll just have to check in a few days ^_^

Yeah, wikifur doesn't change its featured articles very much at all
I'm sure the cold hand of science will be able to overcome his magical powers
Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
Nope, pretty sure ive had to look at the G** Y**** club of second life every time i've logged on for at least a few months now...
But if one good thing comes out of it, Housepets was there for a couple of weeks before i started looking at it, which is actually what got me interested in the comic...
now im hooked...forever...

Staring at Chuck Norris for extended periods of time can cause eye damage and foot sized bruises to the face.

I've never actually payed much attention to the featured image. Good publicity there, WikiFur.

Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
So, is that a good thing or a product of laziness?
A little bit of both, perhaps?

It's a product of laziness that reflects poorly on the website.
But coincidentally, it helps out Housepets! Incidentally, I like Housepets! way more than WikiFur, so it's all good to me.

Such as anyone who would comment that the PG rating hurts the romantic subplots. Which I heard once. In an otherwise positive review, mind you.Typhon wrote:Sigh..some people

We all know what they want and aren't getting Every romantic panel is like a tease for them. "Ooh look maybe action will happen here. Oh wait, nope. Not this time. Sigh.."Sleet wrote:Such as anyone who would comment that the PG rating hurts the romantic subplots. Which I heard once. In an otherwise positive review, mind you.Typhon wrote:Sigh..some people

Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
My guess is that there is a genuine lack of awesome 'furry' comics going as of present, so Housepets is just dominating the main page. I actually found the entire Housepets community via WikiFur so maybe it's not such a bad thing. The more members the merrier, right?

Re: Wikifur Featured Comic
Unfortunately, it absolutely is laziness. I can never find the time to update it, and nobody else seems to want to do it . . .
What I should probably do is set it up to at least rotate between the existing featured comics. Unfortunately they go out of date and setting it up is even more work than creating new entries.

Well from my point of view, it's no exactly a bad thing so I wouldn't beat myself up over it if I were you.
