groaning out, djinn sits up and rubs his head. 'well that could have gone better. guess the cat's out of the bag if you'll excuse the pun' he stretches his back a little then hisses and cringes, grabbing his side. 'well i guess i bruised or pulled something there, should be fine in a few seconds.' he looks over to eira 'well, now that you have me what are you going to do'

Ummm are you ok? are you having the nightmares again?Rav asks concerned for his new friend..

"It's more that my dreams have this nasty little habit of killing me at the end of every single one," Said Venison. "Not a nightmare if you're used to it."

"Any food around?"

Yes, Mom left us a few cans of lamb dog food out, it's on the table out here..

That does sound weird.. what was happening in your dream? you seemed to be running or jumping.. as your legs were twitching an kicking, then your arms were doing the same..
Along with a lot of growling, like you were trying to say something, but i couldn't make it out what it was.

"They're nothing but disturbing and annoying, but as long as my body can rest, I don't care. Where's a can opener?" Venison spotted one on a nearby counter. "Besides, you shouldn't care. I'm probably leaving today. I've caused nothing but trouble since my arrival, and animal control is swarming everywhere. Not to mention I'm forming some rather deadly emotions, so I need to get out while the getting is good." Venison was having trouble getting the manual can opener to work. "Dang thing won't pierce the metal top...think the blade's dull..."

"Are you okay?" Eira asked, steping over lightly and holding out a paw to help the cat up. "I'm Eira, who're you? Is this your house?" She motioned out the barn door to the house. "Cause I don't think I've seen you here before. Not that I would've since we just finished unpacking today."

He grinned and chuckled a bit, "My house? Heh, after a fact it sort of is. I use this as shelter when I need to." Trying to stand up he holds onto his side, taking her paw to help him up. "Ooh, that was a doozy. No running anywhere now."

Rav goes over and kneels down at Venison's feet, like a lap dog.
Mom warned us to stay inside, the notes on the table.. it seems to me to be a tactical mistake, to try to run with all the extra patrols about. you should lay low until they relax, an run off then. If that is what you really want to do by friend..

I don't think your the bringer of trouble, more like the hero who is saving everyone from it. I think you should think about staying, an become the leader of the pets here.

Venison's eyes narrowed in annoyance again. He set down the can of food. "Rav. The grooming is one thing. So is the random hugging. The snuggling, for me, is honestly pushing it. But thissssssss..."

"GRAH! If there's any reason for me to go, it's this! I am NOT a touchy-feely person Rav! I'm not this close to anybody! I probably never will be! DEAR GOD. Do you need to take go a cold shower or something? Screw this! I'm eating somewhere else!"

Venison stormed out the back door, towards the barn. Rav wasn't catching up anytime soon with his cast and soreness.

Amelia stepped closer. They were now just a couple of centimeters apart. She repeated his move, by grabbing his ID tag. Alex realized that he can't pretend to be interested in hers anymore, so he let go of the copper gear, and looked directly at her face again.
I guess I don't need sleep, after all..... she really is cute.....
These particular thoughts made him blush, as his face got redder and redder every second. He lost his ability to talk, and it seemed like the "sane" part of his brain went missing. Luckily for him, he already asked a question, so he didn't have to talk until she answers.... because he couldn't talk at the moment. Being so close to her made him feel uncomfortable, but he couldn't back away..... or he didn't want. On his surprise, his own hand lifted up and grabbed her shoulder. She was unbelievably warm and soft, and Alex found himself scratching and petting her, which he, for whatever reason, enjoyed. The space between them got smaller, as Alex walked forward a bit more..... they were so close together that you couldn't put a paw between them...

So that raccoon is Magnus' sister, after all. Mai smiled a little, being glad she didn't mistook her, but she kept her serious face.

Yeah, I know Magnus. He's my brother. As for if he'll be alright, I think he'll be fine. He's sleeping off yesterday right now, probably has a couple bruised ribs from getting into a fight.Nothing to worry about, though."

Mai sighed in relief. He's okay. She was concerned about him, since she considered him a friend, after all. At this point, she was about to thank the raccoon and leave her alone, since Benuto was waiting for her (or so she thought), but the raccoon suddenly started talking.

Well... um, how are you? And the other cat you were with. Is he okay? He was bleeding, if I remember correctly.

We're... fine, thanks for asking. - Mai turned around, to give Benuto a sign that she'll be right back, but on her surprise, Benuto wasn't there anymore.
Weird.... Maybe he had other things to do? - thought Mai. She turned back to the raccoon.

Where is he? I thought that you two might be related, and families hang out in this town a lot. You know, take care of each other, stick together. But I don't think I see him..."

Mai was surprised. How couldn't she see him, he was right there.
What? But he's right there....
Mai turned around, and pointed to the table where Alex was sitting, but he really wasn't there..... Mai was confused. Not only Benuto, but now her own brother disappeared. However, she wasn't concerned about him. He'll be back. She turned back to the raccoon.
He's gone..... - Her voice was quiet, because she was still confused about it.
Maybe.... he's in the restroom? I don't know.
With her brother and Benuto gone, Mai had 2 options: to talk to the raccoon, or to return to their original table, now crowded with pets.
So, uhm..... I seem to have forgot your name, but I'm sure Magnus told us once..... And, uhm.... what happened yesterday? My brother doesn't want to tell me, did Magnus tell you anything? I passed out when we arrived t the camp...

Mom told him to stay inside, an he can't risk getting caught outside by some random animal control patrol, without being muzzled an leashed to a human right now..

Rav watches him go sadly..
IF he comes back, i'll have to try to explain better that the pets in this town need him to be there leader, since the humans won't allow me to be the leader.
His paw rubs his red tags, an i'll never get rid of these if they think i'm trying to become the leader of pets again.

A cat walked over with a cup of coffee and sat down next to him "Hi, Octavian right?" he said. "Uhm... sorry? have we met?" he asked "yeah, its Octavian" he said leaning over the table again.

Pavelle smiled. She was glad the two cats were okay. As for the missing brother... her eyes quickly scanned the room again, then hovered at the door and windows. Wait. Were those two cats she saw outside? And one of them was black. She squinted. Yeah... but what were they doing? They looked like they were standing so close together... she felt her face burning red, and immediately turned her eyes to the other cat's face. She gave an awkward sort of cough, and bit her lip. No way she was pointing that out to his sister. She messed with one of the buttons on her coat for a reason to look down. "My name's Pavelle Nelson," she said, nearly as soon as the question was asked, "and I don't think I know your name either, right? New to town? As for what happened yesterday, from what I got from Magnus, he invited you two to a party hosted by ferals. And when you guys got there you passed out, I assume your brother got in an argument with the feral leader, and then he took you and fled. Magnus wasn't lucky enough to run off and got caught." She skipped the part about the tied to the tree and the feral guards. "Then Venison, myself, and another cat I don't really know found you two unconscious on the ground. Venison gave you medical help and I can only assume that somebody called the paramedics and took care of you. Then we went off, found Magnus, bartered for him, and got him home. That what you wanted to know?" And now there might be a feral in my house, she thought, then gave a sharp gasp of surprise. Where did that come from? Of course there wasn't a feral in her house. Just because her window had been open for no reason, there had been a weird light, and she had seen someone in her room didn't mean anyone was in her house... she felt her heart beat a little faster anyways, and looked at the cat with what might have been a bit of fear shining in her eyes. She tried to keep the smile on. "Um. I just... remembered something I've got to do. Would you please excuse me?" She looked at her two coffee cups, one still full, and sighed. But suddenly she felt that she had to get home.

[Djinn]

Coughing a little, Djinn sits down on a bale of hay, rubbing his side and hissing in pain. "Looks like I'm not going much of anywhere for a while, not when I'm hurt like this." Looking around a little he shakes his head. "Well I guess I could live in here for awhile if not for food. I mean so long as nobody discovers I'm in here I guess I'm fine."

(Black cat's are bad luck. :3)

Amelia was face to face with Alex, so close that she can see every detail of his face, from his whiskers, his eyes, his scar... Amelia started to wonder, but was soon forgotten, when Alex's face started turning red. He looks even more cute when he blushes. Alex reached and started stroking and petting her, she knew that she had a question to answer but didn't want to ruin the moment. The way his paw slid over her fur, and the way he patted her made her feel very warm and relaxed. Amelia placed her cheek on his chest and closed her eyes, his fur was very pleasant. whispering to Alex, I...I think I love you, as he was stroking her.

That's all of it. Pyxis declared, as he unpacked the last box. His room was fully made, however, empty boxes were still scattered across the room taking most of the space. Pyxis shrugged, feels like home again.

As if Alex wasn't nervous enough, Amelia now completely erased the space between them, by putting her cheek on his chest. Alone that touch made the fur on his back ruffle.

I...I think I love you

Alex stopped petting her, and looked down at her. He was wordless, and his whole face was red now. Love? Wasn't it too early for that? They just met and....... Alex couldn't think right. Her face was warming his chest... or was it something else? Whatever it was, he liked it, so he hugged Amelia with both arms, and he pressed her gently against his chest, while closing his eyes.
I love you too. - came a whisper. After hearing this, he opened his eyes. He didn't say it! It was like..... like there was a person standing behind him, saying the words instead of him.... but they really came from his mouth. He looked at her cute face again, at her ears, her nose, her eyes..... Suddenly, he lowered down, and gave a small lick to her white ear.... but he didn't stop there. He lowered more down, now being face to face with her again, looking at her..... What will happen if....... no... he couldn't think. Next thing hew knew is that he moved his head towards her, decreasing the distance between them, until his lips touched her......

Mai facepalmed, as she heard the name.

Mai looked up. Venison? Who's Venison? What other cat? Just when she wanted to ask, Pavelle continued talking.

Um. I just... remembered something I've got to do. Would you please excuse me?

Uhm..... sure.....
Mai was confused. She sat down, and started thinking. First Benuto, then Alex, and now Pavelle. All leaving. Why? Is it because of her? Did she shoo people away from her somehow? But why? What's wrong with her?
I better just go home.....
With a sad face, Mai looked at the clock.
If Alex doesn't get back here by 9 o'clock, I'll go home alone.

O'Connor looked at the empty boxes in his room. He smiled slightly, glad to be done with the task. Looking around, he decided to take a walk around the neighborhood.

Oi, pop! Ah'm gunna take a walk!"

From the kitchen came the response: "Will do! Don't throw out your back!"

O'Connor smiled and headed out. He looked out at a collection of dark clouds in the distance, noting the cold wind that signified a coming storm. Sighing, he headed down the street, looking at the houses. While, generally, they were all very similar, subtle differences made each house seem individual. Some had trees in the front, others had small gardens, and still others had left their Christmas lights up. I' kuinda gives the neighborhood a unique flair, O'Connor thought.

Soon, though, he reached the edge of the neighborhood. Looking around, he noticed a barn, apparently abandoned. His curiosity piqued, he headed over to check it out. The barn was faded, and falling apart. The major doors were falling off, allowing him to peek in.

"Ullo?" He called in, to make sure he wouldn't surprise anyone.

[Buckdida]

Venison angerly flailed his hands above his head while he made various annoyed vocal noises and stormed across the lawn. "Gadabah! Dadabah! Gadabahdadbaha Darrgh!"

"GAAAARRRR! Rav is nice and all, but I really freakn' wish he could read personality better! Yeeeesh, he acts far more animalistic than any other pet I've cared to meet! Why can't he see that I'm far more humanized than most animals?!?! I freakn' wear pants! I don't do that animal crap! I'm into logic! Understanding! Not instinct!"

"GRRRRRAAAAAAHHHH!" Venison yelled to himself as he stormed into the barn.

[Kalvin]

Djinn looks over at the door in disbelief, he had just finished his sentence and already two people have walked in. His fur stands on end in annoyance. "Jesus Christ on a f***ing pita! When it rains it pours!" He sighs as he tries to sit up but it hurts his side a little. "Now the whole town's gonna know I'm in here and.... *sniff sniff* Do I smell food?" Hunger overcomes pain as he stands up and looks around sniffing.

(I should note at this point that since he is a stray, he smells distinctly terrible.)

"Well I guess I could live in here for awhile if not for food. I mean so long as nobody discovers I'm in here I guess I'm fine."

"Oh," Eira said uncertainly "I could get you something to eat if you want." She looked up when she heard a voice come from the open barn doors. "Ullo?" Eira was about to respond when another pet came in through the other side of the barn, shouting something. She took a step back from the newest arrival, her eyes wide.

"Yes," Milo said "We met a few days ago. You were chasing a feral or something like that. Anyway, I'm Milo Kaene. Nice to meet you again." Milo held out his paw to the fox."

[Teh Brawler]

"Jesus Christ on a f***ing pita! When it rains it pours!"

O'Connor jumped back at what he heard. He hadn't seen anyone yet, but the profanity had confirmed that someone else was in the barn. He walked in slowly, taking in the surroundings. Quickly, he spotted the cat and the fox. Crossing his arms, he growled softly, "Ah don' kno' which one of you said tha', but where Ah'm from, we greet our elders with a 'Welcome'."

Now the whole town's gonna know I'm in here and.... *sniff sniff* Do I smell food?

Suddenly, a faint unrecognizable smell wafted into the barn. However, O'Connor ignored it and focused on the fox. "Now, whu' exactly's goin' on here?"

[Djinn]

Completely ignoring O'Connor, he keeps sniffing about, moving for Venison. "Is that.... uh... that is to say can you spare some of that?" He gives a stern and adamant look all apart from cringing from the pain.

[SilverFang]

(OOC: Eira's a fox not a cat.)

Eira turned to O'Conner. "I-I'm not sure. I was just talking to that cat there." She said, motioning to Djinn. "When you two came in."

[Dylan]

Amelia did not feel like herself, after all she has done in the past, nothing compared to this. Keeping her head near his chest didn't seem to bother her. Alex stopped petting her, wrapping his arms around her in a snug hold, whispering in her ear, "I love you too." Amelia blushed He...really loves me back? She snuggled him some more. Amelia felt light lick to her white ear, making her ear twitch, She could feel Alex coming lower to her face. Amelia was once again face to face with Alex, His head slowly advanced toward her. Are we going to kiss...now? I don't even know his name... Amelia even asking this to herself, still made no attempt to move. Alex's lips now touched hers, she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around him, as he did to her.

Pyxis was fully satisfied with his room, but something still felt wrong. He pondered over this question, grabbing his collar, he looked down. That's right, I still need to find my collar, heading outside, he made a turn and started walking, passing a few houses and a barn, walking into the woods.

O'Connor glanced at the black cat, and thought about it. Then, putting his arms at his sides, he closed his eyes and cocked his head, smiling. "A'righ', lassie, I'll take yer word for it. One can never be tu careful." He then walked up to the fox and extended a hand. "While we're here, we migh' as well get aquainted. You can call meh Benuto. Wha' du they call you?"

"Feral?...." he said "Who?" he asked. he stood up and stretched "Umph! I've been hunched over a bit too much" he said yawning. "i think i will go for a walk. any one want to join me?" he asked fiddling with his new ID tag looking around.

Pavelle waved a farewell at Mai, noting the cat's disappointed/sad face, set down the newspaper and barged out the door. Right into the two cats, mouths connected in a liplock. She disentangled herself from them, blushing and stammering. "I, uh. I. Er. Um. I-I'm sorry." And then she darted around them and half ran/half walked down the sidewalk and away from them. So embarrassing! she thought, keeping her head down as she went. She cut through a couple people's yards to put more distance between herself and the Wall, not really paying attention to the direction she was going. And then she stopped. Ugh! She had forgotten to buy anything to bring home for Magnus to eat! She considered going back, hesitating by the side of the street, unsure. She made a decision. There was no way she was going near that place again for the rest of today, and maybe tomorrow. Her face was still burning. I really need to learn to look where I'm going. And speaking of which... She looked around. And then at the house in front of her. It was Rav's. She nearly walked up to the door and knocked her head off it in exasperation. Why did she keep coming here?!? i She had a feeling that it had to do with Venison. She kept having to ask him for help, over and over again. Soon enough he'd get tired of her coming around and would take off, and then she'd have to go back to dealing with her own problems again. She almost wondered if she didn't perfer somebody else taking care of her, for once. Then she shook her head. No. She would not become dependant on anyone else. Ever. She had to end this thing with him. She made a fist and banged on the door, doing so a little more loudly than need be. She was in a bad mood this morning.

"A walk sounds great, I cuold use one after being inside for so long. See you later, Matthew, Rachel." He said, turning to follow Octavian.

[Buckdida]

"What are all of you guys doing in this barn!?!?! GEEEERRRRAAAUGH! I try to find one bit of solitude but noooooooooo there's pets just swarming everywhere! Gadabah! Dadabah! Gadabahdadbaha Darrgh!"

Venison turned and looked at the cat. Who would seriously be stupid enough to try to mess with him right now? Who would have the gall to even...wait...that red on his side...was he...?

You could almost hear Venison's mind switch gears.

"Lay down and hold still. You're bleeding," he said, as he set down the can of food and pulled out his first aid kit. "Bleeding pretty darn bad, might I add. Listen to me and you can have the entire can of food."

Venison pulled out some gauze pads, bandages, rubbing alcohol, and because he just had a feeling he might need it, tweezers. 'Grah,' He though to himself. 'I need to restock my stuff.'

"Okay, I have to ask this because you're still conscious: Do I have your consent for me to help you?"


(OOC: For those with high perception, you'll notice that the sight of blood actually has a calming effect on Venison. Creepy, no?)

Surprised, he looks down only now realizing he's bleeding. "Oh s***, hardly noticed. Uh... yeah, you've got consent." Djinn lays down, the promise of food enough to get him to follow directions. He goes still to let Venison do whatever work he needs to. "Sorry for intruding man, didn't think anybody used this barn anymore. Probably because I'm here on almost a weekly basis and never see anyone."

Milo finished his coffee and stood up. I'd better go look for Eira. He thought She should have been here by now. Milo threw away his cup and walked out the door and down the street away from The Wall.

Eira took Benuto's paw and shook it lightly. "I'm Eira Kaene." She said before looking over at Venison and Djinn. "Do you think we should help?"

"well then lets go" he said walking out the door. passing two cats and walking down the road towards to woods "so Cier, what have you been doing lately?" he asked still fiddling with his ID tag.

Amelia was too busy kissing Alex, that she didn't notice that the door to The Wall opened. The next thing Amelia knew was that she was prematurely forced away from Alex. Confused she let go of Alex, losing her balance she fell backward with a solid Thud, Ow! Amelia cried out.

Pyxis sighed, Where could I have dropped it? It shouldn't be be far, but everything looks so...different, Pyxis didn't know where to start looking, he sighed again. sitting by the nearest tree, looking up into the sky.

He goes still to let Venison do whatever work he needs to. "Sorry for intruding man, didn't think anybody used this barn anymore. Probably because I'm here on almost a weekly basis and never see anyone."

"Well, unlucky for you, a small family just moved into that house over there about three days ago." Noting the state of the cat's fur, Venison fished out some disposable latex gloves from the kit and put them on before grabbing the tweezers. Using his hands, he parted the black cat's fur where the bleeding was coming from. Yup, a couple of large splinters accompanied with a gash. "Not gonna lie, this'll hurt a bit. Try not to squirm." Venison set to work, pulling out the splinters with a flowing and clockwork precision (OOC: Go A and I lv 10!) then set the tweezers aside as he put some of the rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. "Gotta clean it out, since you haven't seem to have bathed recently. Gonna sting, sorry. Hold still." Venison dabbed and swabbed across the wound, disinfecting it as he did so. "Now to stop the bleeding." Venison grabbed the gauze and applied pressure to the gash, attempting to stop the bleeding. The gauze pad soaked through, so he added another one, and some renewed pressure. Slowly, the bleeding stopped, and he proceeded to wrap bandages around his body to hold the gauze pads in place.

"There, finished. Don't do anything strenuous for a while. No running or jumping, unless you want that thing to open right back up. Here's the food." Venison passed him the can. "Enjoy." With that, Venison grabbed his stuff, and walked back out to the house. It was time to go. There were just too many people, too many problems. Too many things happening at once. Screw what his dreams told him. It was just time to get out, and maybe even go back to the city. There were no emotional problems there.

He opened the kitchen door, and walked past Rav with little thought and no eye contact. "I'm leaving. Now. Nice to know ya, bye." He headed for the front door before Rav could respond, but Venison was in such a hurry that he didn't even notice someone was knocking...and opened the door to find Pavelle standing there.
"Oh...Hey.
Sorry, but I'm leaving now. Maybe we'll see each other in the city by chance. Or something...Bye. Nice knowing you..."

'Go. Just go. Don't look back at either of them...' Venison started to walk past Pavelle...

O'Connor glanced over at the dog and cat, noticing the blood. Ah'm thinkin' yur onto sumthin' ther, but the dog looks abut done." As if on que, the dog quickly finished up and left with a hurried goodbye. O'Connor walked over to look at the now bandaged wound. Luk's lahke he did a gud job ther. Now," he said, changing the topic. "Ah kno her name, but Ah don' kno yurs. And what're ya duin' in a barn, of all places?"

"Not much really, I had a cold the last few days so I was staying in bed. Before that it was pretty boring until all these new people started showing up." He looks around at the route their taking 'this is the way...' He looked at th ground, a sad expression on his face until Del pulled him out of his thoughtsby asking "Sooo. Whats this about ferals?" Cier looked up. "Actually, do you mind if we go a different way, I have some bad memories on this path."

"Well, unlucky for you, a small family just moved into that house over there about three days ago." Noting the state of the cat's fur, Venison fished out some disposable latex gloves from the kit and put them on before grabbing the tweezers. Using his hands, he parted the black cat's fur where the bleeding was coming from. Yup, a couple of large splinters accompanied with a gash. "Not gonna lie, this'll hurt a bit. Try not to squirm." Venison set to work, pulling out the splinters with a flowing and clockwork precision then set the tweezers aside as he put some of the rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab.

He grits his teeth and grips at the ground pretty hard, all claws bared, but he does a pretty good job of staying still. Before he closes them, his eyes water a little and he tenses up.

Sighing in relief, he sits up, panting heavily and sweating profusely. "Don't know how long I could've lasted on my own bleeding like that..... thanks I guess." Wiping his eyes, he nods to Venison.

He looks up in disbelief, but thankfully nods and opens the can. As the stench of the food hits him he wrinkles his nose, but gratefully takes a little bit out with a single finger and licks it off. "Great, with animal control upping their watch on the town and unable to run, I'm effectively stuck in this barn until I heal. The h*** am I supposed to do for food? Eat hay? F***" He apparently has forgotten there are other people in the barn because he's talking to himself. "Son of a b****, just what I need. Stuck in this god d*** s*** hole for a minimum of a week."

He looks up from his sloppy eating, a little disgruntled. "Eh.... I'm just bunking down here for a little bit. Name's Djinn."

he stopped fiddling with his tag "Sure, i wouldn't mind avoiding that path aether, and that conversation" he said walking down the middle road. he looked both ways and jogged across the street. "its surprising how much trouble I've been getting into since i got here" he said walking backwards in front of Cier and Del.

O'Connor stood back up and crossed his arms again, looking down at the cat. Weill, Laddie, yu're no' gunna be able to avoid animal contol in her'. If yer not too thick headed or prideful to accept help, yu can com' wit' meh to mah home and stay ther' for the tuime being." Then he turned towards the exit. "Ah'll be outside waitin' for yur answer. Oh," he added, half-turning before exiting. "Ya muight wanna learn on controlling tha' tongue o' yurs. And Ah'm from Sco'land, where a hundred curses fluy a minute." With that, he walked outside and leaned up against the side of the barn, watching the clouds coming closer.

Rachel and Matthew gaped at this. Cier's departure just as sudden as his arrival.

"Well, see you later, Jester," Rachel said, grabbing Matthew's arm and dragging him out of the cafe. "But we haven't even eaten yet!" Matthew complained, irritated. "We can come back later. But now, I have a feeling that we need to go. Let's take a little walk, shall we?" she told him. "Okay," Matthew replied, "I trust you." He knew that whenever Rachel had a 'feeling' about something, it was usually something important.

The Wall was clearing out quickly- where everyone was going, they were not exactly sure. They exited the shop and took a left, heading down the street.

Jester sits there relaxed in his chair, and watches as everyone quickly disperses from the coffee shop as soon as they came in. He gives a silent wave to all the pets and pretty soon the only people inside are him and Mai. He looks around, pleased with the sudden silence, and says, "....Well... this is awkward...." He looks at the clock and sighs, thinking I have absolutely nothing to do. Ever. He pulls out his earphones and puts one in, playing a relaxing song that focuses heavily on piano and violin. He lets out a relaxed sigh and walks over to a table right next to the front window. He plops his head onto the table, and kicks his legs up on it. He hums along to the song, keeping an eye out the front window to watch the road. Man what's with the pets here. It's like we're all on some sort of wavelength as to where things are going on. I bet right now everyone is about to converge at one point again. Heh, count me out. Jester thinks, smiling at the tune and looking up at the ceiling. He continues to stare up at the ceiling, wiggling his foot to the song playing.

Pavelle had been expecting maybe Rav, or possibly Sara, to open the door. What she hadn't been expecting was Venison. She should have known that he'd be the one to find her first.

"Oh...Hey.
Sorry, but I'm leaving now. Maybe we'll see each other in the city by chance. Or something...Bye. Nice knowing you..."

She blinked, caught off guard, heart stopping. Then she felt dizzy. Maybe he'll stay to patch me up if I pass out on the ground, she thought, feeling a little wobbly kneed. He was walking past her and she was feeling light-headed and she couldn't think straight, suddenly. What's wrong with me? Get yourself together! She was frantic. She had been expecting to say goodbye to him, not the other way around. Now she realized that it hurt to get tossed aside like yesterday's trash. And then she was angry. She was not yesterday's trash, or trash at all, in her opinion. She felt her arm snap out from by her side and clench over his arm to stop him, felt her body forcing itself in front of his, so that he couldn't leave. Since her brain was still feeling a little disconnected from everything right now, though, she decided to fling random one-word questions at him, in the hope of buying herself time. "What? Why?" She desperately tried to make eye contact, because he obviously didn't want any.

"Because." Venison flicked his arm to knock Pavelle's grip off him, avoiding eye contact at all costs, even turning his head to do so. "Too much at once. Brain fried. Can't cope. Gotta leave. City easier. No emotion." He walked around Pavelle, continuing to move down the road.
