Okay.

BTW, after you do the neighbordogs, maybe you should try out Zach. Just realized that while going through all the character files that we don't have a Zach sprite, which is amazing to me considering that he's one of the more popular characters. Anyway, just thought I'd say that so that it's fresh in the mind.

I don't see why King can't still be Faux Dog. He wasn't born a dog after all.

I'll agree, "Faux Dog" sounds better as well. It brings up the fact of who and what King once was, which was an integral part of his story in the comic. Someone who is trying to understand a world he saw but never truly knew until now, and even then he can't fully integrate. While "Lover Dog" sounds funny and is true in its own right, it sounds weird to me in King's context.

...But that's just me, I think.

Anyway, Cobra, took a look at what you've done, and nice stuff! Love how Bino is kind of a "bullet sponge." Definitely going to want a healer if we choose to keep him in our teams.

W-WHY ARE WE JUST LEARNING THIS NOW?! It's been mentioned that spans of time aren't very long to them, but time travel has never come up in the comic before! But... how did diss get that information?! :o

Also I agree on the "Faux Dog" thing. I mean Lover Dog isn't exactly wrong, but it isn't exactly accurate to his WHOLE character. It's more of focusing on one particular aspect of King's character, and completely ignores his "I dislike 75% of the people around me" attitude, so overall it's kinda false advertising to anyone new to HP! or someone who doesn't know his character very well. Not to mention, that can be said about ALOT of characters, it may not be as strong but it still counts.
Faux Dog is very vague, but tells you a very important aspect of the character. Him being a human turned into a dog is a pretty big feature to describe and explain his actions and his mannerisms. In fact, without knowing that detail it lowers the importance of the romance he shares, it wouldn't be as big of a deal if he was just a dog.

Yeah, besides, Dogs are known for being friendly, which King is not very, so in that sense he's a fake dog, cause he doesn't live up to his species' standards.

Yes it has. They specifically had to make a rule against it during the game. You don't need to make rules against stuff you can't actually do. Also I seem to recall Peanut paradoxing his own past once using a temporary power he picked up at that extra-dimensional convention Tarot & Dragon liked to go to...

No one who knows how to use firearms would hold their weapon like that. That's asking for recoil-induced injuries.

Well, couple things regarding that;

1. Best image of Fido I could find.
2. It's more of showing the weapon off than bothering to give it an accurate battle-stance.
3. I'm stupid. I have no knowledge of gun use, aside from seeing people fire a gun with high knockback. Learned that it's not a good idea to hold the gun straight in front of you, it's a good way to knock yourself out, at the very least.

I'm in D-Rock's defense here, to me it doesn't look like he intends on firing anything, rather he epically dodged an attack while holding his gun.

still bugs me...

here. this seems to be how most police officers i could find on google images would hold the thing, so it stands to reason fido would do the same.

First off, very nice! Looks great, especially with the angle Battle Cry is shown. Reason I haven't done that is that I still can't do perspectives right. Still sure I messed up Fighting Force in that regard.

Secondly, wow, that was fast.

And third, unfortunately, shrinking it down to banner size wasn't exactly perfect.

Yeah, not much i can do about the shrinkage issue. any smaller on the base image and I can't draw the weapon itself, it has too many parts to scale down easily.

also, you're talking to a person who likes to do 30-minute challenges.
I might not draw well, but do draw quickly.

I think it's better if we stick with the inaccurate gun posing, I'd rather be consistent than accurate.

because I genuinely can't picture an officer drawing a weapon he doesn't intend or at least expect to use? overzealous officers aside, most are too disciplined for that sort of tomfoolery.

Well, I made Miles Edgeworth break down, so at least one funny thing happened (work was terrible...).

And two variants of a Fido banner.

Not my most productive of weeks, but work does that.

Also, happy birthday, Kingfan!

Taking it slow this week since my cousin from Alberta arrived until August 5th, but it never occurred to me - does anyone use a baseball bat in this for a weapon?

Yes, Bailey uses bats as her starting weapons.

Also, are we really using the fanart of Fido? It's not that it's bad art, it just stands so much out from the others, it's driving my OCD crazy :?

Also, new base sprite for the really big dogs, opinions?

That Orange dog almost looks identical to Tarot. The one below it looks like a Bigglesworth dog, which is neat.

not bad so far. I suggest also a huskie in the mix - black back and white muzzle and belly.

That's supposed to be tiger, The dog below it is a placeholder with a glitched palette, neither are intended to be used in their current state.

I was asking for opinions on the enlarged sprites that make up the first three poses of Rex & Boris' sprites...
