Sorrow: I was an idiot and waited too long to apply to medical school. Now I need to wait another year. :'(

It's important that you learn from your mistakes, so you can succeed next time.
I also need to keep this in mind for when I apply for med school.

This week:

Joy: I got a free copy of Destiny and made it in an Accapella choir! Yay!

Sorrow: The rest of the week. It's just been a rough ride through personal and emotional stuff (i.e. Overslept twice for class this week, thoughts from my past coming to haunt me... again... and just stupid things that I've done in general) and I just want the week to end... Yay.

I know that next week will be better though, I feel it. Monday brings Choir, Housepets, and progress through fan fiction so it will be a great start for the week despite it being Monday. :) I hope...

Joy : Microsoft Flight Simulator 10 is CPU based not GPU based. Thus, I don't need a good GFX card to run it and because my new cpu has 4 cores and 8 threads, for the first time ever I can max all the settings and have nearly flawless fps. Currently on a flight from Newark to Munich. The same one I took in real life.

Ooh, fun! I was never able to run that with the high settings - how's the non-flat water look? :P

From 35,000 feet. Looks blue. The sun reflects very nicely off of it. Game crashed though. Probably because it's getting older now. Maybe I run a repair on it when I get home.

One of my favorite flights is from Honolulu Int. to Kaneohe Air Field (at least I think that's what it was - it's been a long time). Nice straight little hop over the mountains - good for practicing with small aircraft. But I'm guessing you're more into serious piloting than leisurely hops. ;)

Joy: Reminisced about Flight Simulator X :)
Joy: Found out the next one is to be announced next year!
Sorrow: I remember when Flight Simulator X was new . . . and FS9. I'm getting old.

Ehh, it depends, sometimes I like to do the thing where you set the time to a certain time and same with the day, then just bounce around in a little Cessna looking at all the sights there are to see. Other times like tonight, I like to do a little less bouncing and do some distance traveling. The first time I did that in any way was in a 747 from I think San Francisco to Hong Kong. Nothing like staring at the cockpit watching the clouds go by in real time.

Sorrow: Welp, i wasn't able to take a required online exam for a course that i'm failing at just 'cuz the site won't send me an email to reset my password

Sorrow: My advisers keep on pushing that I defend for my thesis within the next two weeks, which I clearly can't do, with all the papers I've got to do before I finish the semester.

Sorrow: If things come to worst, i'd have failed two majors and a minor

Sorrow: I can't rid myself of these bad habits.

It's this kind of online nonsense that makes me worried about doing business online, even if it helps Rick. =(

Sorry to hear, Valerio. Hope there are ways around it in the future. =\

Joy: Installed Microsoft Flight Simulator X on my computer (it was lucky that I found the activation codes). Also found a way to download a favorite WWI combat flight simulator of mine called Rise of Flight. They've added a lot of new aircraft since the last time I've played.

... Maybe I should be posting this in the 'Announcements of Leave and Return' thread.
Kidding! Just kidding! :P (...)

Also, happy birthday! It's your birthday already where I'm at!

Sorrow: Packing for a trip; really tired and stressed out. At least I'll get some quality sleep after I'm done.

Joy: I got a 100 on my last quiz.

Sorrow: Sometimes, I just hate myself because I know I will never be as good at anything as my brother. I feel like a burden to my family. Sometimes.

Sorrow: Woke up and my curtains have fallen down. I tried putting it back up for about 30 minutes before giving up. I think parts of it have just broke for some reason. I'll try putting it up again tonight, have already contacted landlord (He's on Holiday for the rest of the week, so I'm a little screwed there too).
Sorrow: I dropped my laptop during my first lecture of the day, and since then it's not turned on. Normally I wouldn't mind quite so much (I'm the "meh, crap happens" type of guy), but I haven't backed up my laptop for ages, so I've lost a ton of Uni' work if I can't fix it or harvest the hard drive or something (I don't even know if it's possible.)
Sorrow: It starting raining so heavily on the way home. I had to walk, and was not wearing the right clothes for the job.
Sorrow: Overacted and have basically ended more than half my online friendships. Don't get me wrong, if you know me, you know I've already overacted and lost plenty of friends in the past. Several times.

So, I think I'm basically living proof that karma does exist!
