Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
You two could catch up with the pets that are transporting the injured pets to the vet .
Senka, could rejoin the party at the clinic as well.
Having been shopping at the market with Kandi all morning

Senka was in the tunnels with Mercury's group, but she went silent. Maybe she was like "meh, this is boring." And went back to the clinic?

Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
Here is what happened. Roarin withdrew his characters, redid there character sheets an re introduced them to the RPMrNeonShot wrote:Senka was in the tunnels with Mercury's group, but she went silent. Maybe she was like "meh, this is boring." And went back to the clinic?
However he was only able to get Zanna back into the RP.
He stated that Senka stayed with Kandi an went to the farmer market, ok but Esper has said that
I'm not allowed to play Kandi as a main character, nor can I play my secondaries moonbeam and rocky.
Characters have to play main on main, so this left Senka with no one to interact with at the clinic.
Haliroo is also not allowed to play the vet staff.
So I guess. Doc and Koa are going to have to care for the pets injuries from now on.

Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
What, what is this about Hlaoroo not being allowed to narrate characters, even when they're necessary for the development of the story, like the Waltons? When did that happen?
Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
A long while ago when we agreed to my request to not centralize the clinic again to the point it was the last time there needed to be a major visit. My Request was to not have procedural drama be a huge point in the story again like it was when Hutch and Oreo were held there or during the surgeries that happened before, during, and after that time, or when Nadia was hanging around there bemoaning her ownership. The Waltons have been played very lightly since then and that is acceptable. All I wanted was to prevent injuries from being the convenient go-to for story progression
I said Kandi cannot be a main character as humans are not supposed to be, not in RA, unless they are 100% necessary for a pet character to be used. You yourself said your horses were not main characters, Keeshah, so I thought I said they ought to be played as such, meaning they are not major players in the story or they are for only a short while. I don't recall ever saying main characters can only interact with other mains, please forgive me if I am wrong. What's more, that rule has clearly not been enforced whatsoever, see interactions with Mister Badger and Haoroo's humans.
If I have missed any points, please tell me that I may address them

Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
With old wire like that it wouldn't hurt to get them a tetanus shot each but if they soak the wounds with plenty of antiseptic and if the wounds are minor then they might get away with it. Some ice for Oreo's split lip wouldn't go astray either.
But yeah, regarding the vets and humans, my understanding was just what Esper said, that since they aren't main characters they shouldn't be played as such (and therefore should have a decreased involvement in the RP) and that since we've had so much time at the vet clinic it was time to try some things elsewhere in RA. I don't ever recall hearing anything about only mains being allowed or anything like that and it was my understanding that we were definitely still allowed to play as the vets etc.

Sorry, guys. I don't mean to keep you all hanging. Eight solid hours of walking each day is surprisingly exhausting. Or, rather, unsurprisingly.
I'll make sure to keep up from now on though.

Also, Since Doc has to travel to the vet, to tell them able how he treated Oreo.
Nadia should stay with those who are exploring the tunnels, to look for more traps!
She an Doc are about the only two in the party who would know where to look for such things.

You're right, they probably are. Although the pets could also stay where they know it's safe already. Although, if they were set up as [word that the censors won't allow]traps rather than as snares for trapping food then they could be anywhere and Doc and Nadia would be just as likely to get caught, I think.Keeshah wrote:She an Doc are about the only two in the party who would know where to look for such things.

Hoo boy! If you were walking door-to-door in the actual Outback you could walk for literally hundreds of kilometres to get to the next house down the road!
Yeah, Argent's right though, to a degree. I'm in a city on the coast of Queensland. I don't know about Florida but the city isn't huge and when you stand on the nearby hill/mountain you can see the whole city. The next city along is about 4 hours drive away.
Six would definitely know about snares, I reckon. Whether or not he gets involved depends on Argent's work though.
What did Doc actually give Oreo? I was under the impression it was some local anaesthetic but the rest of you seem to be playing it as though it's a sedative...

Doc said it was a painkiller, an those can cause drowsiness. Which is what Oreo is trying to sleep off.Hlaoroo wrote:What did Doc actually give Oreo? I was under the impression it was some local anaesthetic but the rest of you seem to be playing it as though it's a sedative...
But the Walton's should know by now just how super-effective anesthetic's and sedatives are on Oreo.
How deeply they put him under,
an how hard it is to wake him back up from them.
Almost borderline allergic to them...

"Painkiller" is a very broad class of drugs and Doc could have been using simple language so Oreo could understand. Not all painkillers cause drowsiness either. It's probably a fairly superfluous detail anyway since we won't be showing any of the vet stuff anyway.

Even if it was set in some caves down the tunnels, wouldn't that still have been checked by the professionals? Its not like they go down the tunnel, see the cave and say "nothing to see here!"
But it doesn't have to be Mr. Badger who set the trap. It could've been some other animal that explores the caves.
And no, it was down a different tunnel where Koa and Kousa found an entrance to, so that still would've been checked.

Well, we did say that the tunnels were extensive and that the professional caver didn't manage to search them all.
Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
An extensive cave system can take decades to be explored, and that only if it catches the attention of enthusiastic cavers. Anything big enough to have vigorous underground streams is going to be extensive - miles deep, with hundreds of side branches.MrNeonShot wrote:Even if it was set in some caves down the tunnels, wouldn't that still have been checked by the professionals?

But for something to be so easily found by unprofessional pets, yet the professional explorers couldn't? Every pet that went down that tunnel to help Oreo seemed to have walked in a straight line to where Oreo ended up being tied up, so its pretty easy to find.

Re: PF:Richmond Acres OOC
It could be as simple as the explorer picked the left passage instead of the right and therefore didn't see the snare.
