King of a light humored next page but the fact that he got Fox though has me worried. If Kings been turned into who i think, the cops are gonna storm in to find a near dead Joel on the floor and Fox with blood on his pristine silver fur.

I don't think Pete ever really liked King. This could be the end of both Joel and Bailey, depending on the outcome of the Game.... and King/Joel's big boon is one wish, one that he uses to revive Bailey instead of letting him go back to being a dog, sacrificing his happiness for her or some such.

Also, I think this means that Joel is naked under there? Perish the thought!!!

You know, I imagined that Fox would find out at some point, but I did not expect the morning of. I wonder how Joel is going to convince Fox that he is King, and how many bones will be broken before Joel gets a chance to say anything.

(I doubt it but I think King'll make good

Seems too small for King to be Joel again. Maybe Pete turned him into Bailey? After all, King technically doesn't really have an owner, but Bailey does. King going missing for 7 months to a few years wouldn't cause TOO many issues, but Bailey? She has an owner, which would cause a LOT more issues for everyone involved. Changing King into Bailey would solve most of those issues.

Wait, so King had Joel's voice while he was a dog?
Did Fox never notice that?
Or does Joel retain the voice he had as King which in turn was a new one ?

Assuming Pete turned him back into a human, that is.

Heh, I noticed that too. While I don't know if it belongs to the wolves or to King, a forest is where King found out he was part of a cosmic game.

Ah, I didn't quite read the entire line said by Miles. I assumed Fox came over because Miles wanted him to, since he knows Fox is King's best friend. Seemed kinda odd prior to realizing that, that King seemed a bit casual rather than yelling out for no one to come in.

As far as King's voice, there was a long period of time from when Fox heard Joel's voice to when he heard King's voice, so technically, Fox may have forgotten how Joel sounds, so in this instance, Joel may have retained his voice when he changed to King, and no one would have noticed. I would say that if his voice was different between human and dog form, it probably would have been noted in this strip. Then again, Joel/King is under the covers, so muffling can reduce recognition.

King asks fox for a favor
Fox gets suspicious
Fox asks king to get out of the covers
King says no
Fox forces king/Joel to get out
Last panel is Fox's terrified face

My mind is too evil for its own good (all of this assuming that king is now joel )

Well, oh, dear.

If Joel is revealed, that actually makes something I've been thinking about more prominent. Did none of the police dogs or Fox recognize his voice coming from King? Of course, the fact that the voice is coming from a completely different species, they only really met once, and there was a pretty long time since they last met, it would make sense.

Well, they may barge in while Joel is being strangled. Pete did inform King that Dragon noticed he got a full avatar, which likely means Tarot knows too. Now, it probably doesn't matter whether whether they know King turned back into a human (assuming that is what happened), but Tarot at least may rush to King because of his connection with Bailey, Pete's new avatar. Then again, the duel has started, so Tarot may have already left for that. If so, then Sabrina may be Joel's only hope.

Technically speaking, it could still mean he's Joel. Usually the appearance of a character is what gets them tagged, but King/Joel hasn't revealed himself, hiding under the blankets, referred to as King by Miles and Fox.

I don't think so. Even off-field voices were always marked according to their characters.
Plus, had Pete transformed King back into Joel, either Rick made a mistake with the tagging, or...it could be his way to take his sweet revenge.

I'm actually on the fence about whether I wish King or Joel is under the blanket. Part of me hopes it's King because there'd be less trouble for him, but part of me wants it to be Joel just to see where Rick would take that. Of course, as has been mentioned, it's also possible he's something else entirely, and that could be kinda cool as well.

Right now, I'm ok with either direction, whether he's still King or has reverted back to Joel, but like I said it previous threads, if he is Joel, then I hope he can get back to being King again. Being Joel for a number of strips could be very entertaining, but if the result of this is that he disappears for a long period of time, then I'll be sorely depressed.

I don't know about him being anything other than Joel or King at this point. It would be rather random. But, here's my own random thought. What if he hadn't been fully transformed yet? What if he had Joel's head and King's body? Now that would be creepy.
