Mine was impacted which means it was on a really wonky angle. They actually had to cut into the jawbone to get it out. Which is probably why I'm now so sore.
Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
I wouldn't want to remove my wisdom teeth, thats where I store all my smarts. I've been saving those smarts for a brainy day.

Please make sure you stay hydrated so you reduce the risk of dry sockets! Also, try not to blow your nose, don't drink out of a straw, don't play a wind instrument, or do anything that can change the air pressure level in your mouth.Hlaoroo wrote:So... in other news... has anyone here had their wisdom teeth out? I had mine out a year and a half ago. Mine were partially impacted but partially erupted through the gum line already so by the end of the next day I was eating semi-solid foods.
Let me tell you about Homestuck.

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
Yeah. Basically don't do anything that moves your mouth or jaw because it hurts. Thanks for the advice.
I've heard all about dry socket and I'm determined to avoid it.
Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
I still haven't gotten my wisdom teeth pulled. I should probably do that. Then again my teeth are already kinda messed up so maybe it's just a moot point.
I think in Non-sequiturs

one out, three more to go... I had to stop playing euphonium for a while for my small-small cadet band.
Speaking of which, any good idea for JROTC fund raising events or sale, etc?

Well I have no idea what JROTC is but there's all kinds of fund raisers you can do. Car washes and dog washes are always cheap to run and quite productive. You could sell baked goods or get local businesses to donate prizes and then have a raffle. You can busk, you can sell chocolates (at least in Ausralia - I don't know if American companies do that sort of thing), you could hold an event like a movie night with snacks and drinks available for purchase or a trivia night with a few fun prizes and gold coin donation to enter (actually, you use bills, not gold coins, don't you?). The possibilities are endless!

hummm, are you familiar with Cadets? that's what the common wealth countries call it.Hlaoroo wrote:Well I have no idea what JROTC is but there's all kinds of fund raisers you can do. I'd really enjoy dog wash :3 !!! they are pretty good! but usually boy scouts and girl scouts end up doing it. We did lobster dinner nights and get supports through donation but it seems that it wasn't enough to fill our pocket. We need, around er,, 10,000 dollar...

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
I've heard of cadets but I've not looked into it at all so I don't really know what it is.
Who says you can't dog or car wash too? As long as you don't do it on the same day as them you should be fine.
e_e That's some fund raising goal... Have you tried holding up a bank?

It's a militaristic youth organization to promote leadership, citizen ship, dicipline, etc,Hlaoroo wrote:I've heard of cadets but I've not looked into it at all so I don't really know what it is.

Simply put, part time youth officers with trainning who do not fight.
The war is over, so the government cut the spending on the military. So we have to help ourselves.
Woof! We will give it a try! Now that I think about it, raffle is a great idea! Maybe the prize will be a hockey game ticket.
Bank...? Humm that's an option I guess.

The people in France during the Reign of Terror were insane! They found entertainment in going to watch people be executed by the guillotine. And parents took their children to watch with them!

Though I can see why it would be kind of distressing. Europe was a pretty barbaric place pre- enlightenment.

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
Oh my gosh you guys I know this is really old but please don't hurt me I have to say it.
In an IV, straight into my bloodstream.
Actually when I was in high school, I drank coffee pretty religiously, as I had to force my body to work against its normal circadian rhythm. Then it became completely ineffective, so I would just get a terrible caffeine crash a few hours later in the day (always in physics, at the worst possible time). I stopped drinking coffee for its caffeinated effects and only on occasion for the taste. Now that I'm in college, I've realized that a good night's sleep is the best thing you can do for both your mind and your body. Also I take late afternoon classes so I can follow my own natural pattern.
When I drink coffee now, I try to get decaf if I can so I can enjoy my coffee without all the caffeine withdrawal afterwards.
I like sugar and milk in my coffee! I can drink it black if I have to but I don't like to if I can help it.
Also, mocha frappes. Mmmmmm.

My father, a couple years before I was born, I think, had the same situation happen to him, except one the teeth fragmented during the extraction and they had to make a second surgery to remove the missing piece by piercing through his jaw. : /Hlaoroo wrote:Mine was impacted which means it was on a really wonky angle. Hey, I have noticed these forums have these "friend" and "foe" buttons on each profile for people to classify other forum members, yet so far I have not gathered a single foe. What have I done to deserve such indiference?!
