Both native females looked at each other. "They are still fighting." Only, on another plane!
They looked at Martin and the human for confirmation.
It was Roger who spoke, for Martin was just as confused as Balkan.
"The connection was twisted, changed. While Dimitar was gifted before he met the demon, his powers unlocked after the encounter. As for the being Manneck'vos - he's gone forever, but at a cost, because it was Dimitar who destroyed him, he was destroyed, but his darkness now fills Dimiar's body, the demon's darkness fighting again Dimitar's inner Light."

During the conversation Flint had quietly slipped out of the tent. The last he heard, Balkan was scolding his two mates.
They'd been talking about spirits and Dimitar for dog knows how long and they still haven't seen a wink of him. So Flint decided to take a peek himself.
Navigating himself through the tents of the camp he finally came upon the medic tent, presumably where Dimitar would be.
Flint took one more quick glance around before walking over to the tent and taking a look inside.

The bear huffed. "Hm, videogames. Nice display of reflexes, memory and attention span, but not much creative. Drawing is fine, brings out the real you...Ah, here we are." Homer closed the umbrella as soon as they found themselves under a portico leading toward the buildings. "Now you're gonna meet my pals. Just...don't be nervous around them. They can be such show-offs, sometimes."

"I can't *BELIEVE* it!!" a fox said...from her position up a branch, still holding the fake paw with a couple of cables. She hopped down the tree. "*everyone* screams at that trick!" She looked with suspicion at the bear. "Confess, Homer! You spoiled!" Then, without waiting for an answer, she looked at the Toyger cat. "Who are you, iron-nerve stranger?"

The vixen rolled her eyes. "Named after a demon-beast! This explains a lot."
Homer chuckled. His umbrella had disappeared behind his back. "O-ha--" He was interrupted by her loud clearing of her throat. "Sorry. Anyway, Shukaku, meet Tryxy the Magnificent."
The vixen bowed with her left arm at her chest, holding a top hat...that hadn't been there until a second ago. "Charmed. You have the right to be impressed."
Homer chuckled again. "Tryxy is one of the top stage magicians in the world. She knows all the tricks."
"And some more," the vixen added. Then, to the bear. "I hope he's not a spy, big cub. You have a tendency to fall for the kittens in the rain."
Homer snorted. "Actually, Shukaku was getting bored and I wanted to introduce him to us." Then, to the cat. "We're a group of circus performers. No humans. We're here as a part of our world tour."
Tryxy put her paw into the top hat and produced a large poster with a solemn stylized lion's head represented as the sun on a blue field. Under the head the poster read THE MEDICI MAGNIFICENT STAGE! ANIMALS-ONLY CIRCUS! TEST YOUR MIND AND YOUR HEART! FUN FOR ALL AGES!

The raven flew over the fox's shoulder. "Just let me take care of it. Luckily, teleporting is one of the common basic skills...Oplà!" and in just a flash, they were there!
Facing a vast plains, surrounded by the thick forest. The luscious green grass expanse looked as if it was being taken care by some cosmic gardener... Instead, that was the work of the local 'horses', a herd of whom could be visible under the rain.
Zoologists loved Meriweather Island for its peculiar fauna, much like Australia had its own biological peculiarities.
These horses had rapidly evolved into smaller creatures, the size of donkeys but with all the elegance of the noble steeds they used to be. Their coat was thick, like fur, and they sported a long tail and a single spike in the middle of their brow.
"So, kit? Do you like them?"

Jolgodar cawed a laugh. "Unicorns?! Oh, spirits, not certainly! There is nothing mystical or magical about those guys: That spike is not even an offensive weapon: They use it to make it easier to pick the lower fruits and mark their territory. Females and males have each their own. It breaks easily, and it regrows fast. Their *actual* weapon is the tail: They developed a poisonous spike you can't see from here. Humans call it 'scorpion sting', and its poison is extremely effective. So watch it when they swish their tail, it means they're ready to send you to a Nice Place, if you catch my meaning.
"Their thicker coat protects them from the weather and from the insects. Flies feeds on the dead cells over their bodies, helping the coat to stay healthy. Oh, and they normally detest to be treated as steedd, they are quite proud: if you can win their trust, you're a winner!"

"Yes we do," said an otter, walking out of the building. It was a male, and he looked as if he had just a bath. His face looked as if it had been chiseled for mirth. "Silly humans think we animals can't manage oursevels in a circus without a human ringmaster, and so we gathered to prove them wrong. With quite the success, I daresay!" The otter extended a webbed paw. "Hi! I am Streak! Like everyone else in this crazy gang, we *did* belong to human circus performers, before leaving to start our own business. You here to join the team?"

Circus? Uh oh, they may have a psychic! Monique thought. She darted behind the cat's neck, went visible and partially solid, then flew back and landed on his head again.

"Well, I was startled, I'll have you know," Monique said to the fox.

Khun stared for a moment. Then shrugged.

When in Rome... He thought. Though he'd never had sushi before, he was willing to give it a try. Khun took his katana and began to cut the fish out of it's skin, then he paused. Waiting to see if he was about to commit any more faux paus, he looked at Alyse with a question on his face.

Hands behind your back.
Tail down.
Ears drooping.

"Monique!" Monique said to the cat, then returned to her perch on his head. Then she looked at the vixen.

"As far as being a friend of his," she said, "I hope to be so maybe."

And if you don't mind, the last cat that found out I was a ghost was so freaked she tried to bury herself in the sand. So, hush about it if you don't mind. And you needn't worry about me taking your precious little spotlight. I'm here on this island on family business.
She thought to her.

Re: Pet Friendly: Blue Peak Shore

The mess room was teeming with animals busy eating all sorts of foods, while the human staff was busy attending their needs.
When the group walked in, two lean cheetas waved their arms to the newcomers. "Welcome back, gruffo!" one of them, whose crest was pure snow white, said. The other, with a jet black crest, tried to smile between his mouthful of chicken. "Been hiring already?" He then introduced himself to the toyger cat. "Charmed, chap: I'm Ferrari, and this voracious thing here is Lotus. Who might you be?"

"Oh, the horns become more fragile during the coldest season. But even tripping into a low branch or slamming against a tree will do the work. And did you know a funny thing, by the way? The males don't use the horns to duel, during mating season, like deers to with their own: It would inflict really nasty wounds and could also kill an otherwise prime male. Instead, they duel with their tail-stingers: They are immune to their own poison, though it *does* hurt. And so, during their fight for a mare, them boys will just circle and study each other until they are ready to attack. It's a gracious form of fight, the rabbits borrowed it for their ritual mating dance."

Alyse nodded. "There are certain minerals suspended in this water -too few in concentration to harm those who bathe, but they enrich a fish's taste. That's also why very few are allowed here: Restaurant owners would spoil this place to make sushi." She darkened at the thought.

Tryxy helped herself to some meatballs. She regarded the food with a wary eye, then snorted and put on it more, then poured some sauce. "Silly humans still can't cook them decently..." she muttered, before addressing Monique. "Well, we have seen some weird things in our career, and you're way too cute to frighten anyone. And don't go all telepathic on me, makes my brains tingle. I hate it." She walked away, scoffing.
Homer chuckled. His plate was filled a pile of pancakes and syrup. "Forgive her, my tiny friend: Tryxy is...not the easiest vixen to get along with, but she makes for a loyal friend. In fact, we all are loyal to each other, if we want to live on as a group."

Oh really? You'll be hearing LOTS from me then. Monique thought to the vixen, although intending to torture her by not thinking to her at all.

"Too cute to frighten anyone, the nerve," Monique said with a head shake, then to Homer, "Oh, don't worry I will. Now that she's gone though, how do you, cat, feel about ghosts?" The last she said to Shukaku.

Khun gulped down a handful of fish, feeling in his mouth for the bones, then he spoke after a swallow.

"Delicious!" He said.

"These fish here rare?" He asked, before taking another bite.

"Well, let's go see Mae," Luke said, getting up. Amber nodded and did the same.
