I admit, I wanted to subvert the 'dream sequence flashback' idea by, instead of having him dream of a time he was awake, have him wide awake and recalling something that happened when he was asleep. He was probably dosed but, even then, it's got to be hard to be totally asleep in a helicopter so some bits got through.

Yup, he is.

Hutch is supposed to have amazing perception (for a journalist.) He taught Roo to be aware of her surroundings. But the difference is that Hutch puts things together in his head, Roo says it out loud.

And I don't know why , but when Kandi talk about getting Nadia horseshoed , I know it's a joke , and I did laugh , but for some reason I have this really weird imaginary image inside my head that both funny and creepy at the same time
could be my lack of sleep kicking in though

Kandi was pointing out jokingly that her vet specialty are large animals..
But a horseshoeing fox would keep her grounded. AS it would be hard to get into trouble and get away with big heavy iron shoes on her footpaws.
